This is a lovely little adults-only holiday camp, in an excellent location. I have been holidaying regularly here for years. The staff are very helpful and hard working, and the facilities are potentially excellent - however, the very obvious staff cuts towards the end of last year have really damaged the experience, and instead of visiting nearly every month, I...

I can not believe that Pontins/Brittania hotels are satisfied with the level of service provided by this " Holiday resort " the reviews and ratings are an indication of the falling standards l have made 3 separate e-mail complaints to the resort through their head office, but have not even had the courtesy of a reply. We go to sand bay 5 times a year for a cheap and cheerful break the room was fine but i don't know if they were short staff in the dinning room but this time it was terrible i know you have to queue up for food but it kept running out they were also running out of bowls and...

Terrible dirty chalets rude staff..great food nice pool etc had to change chalets due to being so dirty and broken sinks no loo roll filthy shower dirty mattress and bedding loads of cobwebs ..discusting carpets very old tired smelly chalets outside needs serious maintenance. .won't stop there again waste of money ..

This 80's weekend was a treat from a family member so went with an open mind. Well it was a bit like the 60's Hidi hi but to be fair our room was incredibly warm, cosy and clean. Weekend break for us...we upgraded the room..and glad we did...brighter room alltogether we had room133..food was fantastic self serve...early bird get s the cream10/10 entertament was good too....queen vics on till 2.somethings wasnt open times stated..bit laid back at times..some parts of the complex wa dated but there trying...im giveing sand bay a 7/10 we had our moneys worth...

where to start. on arriving in the pouring rain we were told where to find the chalet, walking through puddles we found the chalet.on entering we saw mould around door frame and rather large cobwebs in the corners on the ceiling, entered bathroom, cold and grubby no hot water. went to restaurant long queues no clean tables, cleared our own...

rooms where much better than I expected, clean and warm, food was excellent, only complaints were the entertainment, could have done with out bingo and non motown music and games, otherwise a great weekend

Chalet was warm but the bathroom was filthy, went out to get a sponge and cleaner as housekeeping do not work over Christmas. We booked a last minute Christmas break which was not cheap at £300 per person. ( everyone else we spoke to paid far less ) Firstly the dining experience was awful, long queues, dirty plates everywhere and...

What a disaster maplins must have been better than this. Freezing cold throughout resort - if you can call it that. Chalet dirty booked a shower only got a bath heater in bathroom dangerous convector above hand basin. Queues for food unbelievable and when you got to food station looked like there had been a food fight. Only stayed 1...
