We had a wonderful experience here. We felt like George Clooney and Amal arriving at our private island by speed boat!The hotel is pristine and is so comfortable. The breakfast is amazing with a great array of both European and Vietnamese food served. It was lovely to be served breakfast for a change and staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Shout out to Zen on reception and Pho in the dining room who were exceptional in their service. This is a hotel not to be missed. We will return.

What a fabulous resort Azerai Can Tho is. We were treated like a king and queen from the minute we arrived at the Pavillion. We were welcomed by a few staff members and had a drink. The check in process was quick and efficient. The speed boat to the island was about 5 minutes - wish it was longer. We were then taken by buggy with our luggage to our river view room. We think these rooms are the best and they are very opulent. The lake view rooms face the lake and on the opposite side is the cafe/restaurant, so it’s not as private. Having dinner outside is not a problem as we were given mosquito spray that is made with natural ingredients. All the staff at this beautiful resort bend over backwards to ensure you enjoy every minute of your stay. Even at the pool, a bar staff member brought us a cool face washer and a glass of iced water. A lovely unexpected touch. The breakfasts are a la carte and really top class. The chefs here are terrific. Dinner at the Grill was very upmarket and salmon cooked as ordered, medium, to perfection. All wait staff are very attentive, efficient and ensure you are happy. Delicious complimentary warm bread rolls with a lovely spread are served with every meal. Afternoon tea is like a mini high tea and is also complimentary. I can’t praise this resort enough. Very personalised pampering at a very reasonable cost. The 3-bedroom villa was beautiful and perfect for my family, and the food was decent. Overall, we had a lovely experience. The resort also maintains its grounds very well—I noticed the staff tending to the garden every morning until noon throughout my 5-day stay. However, the front desk staff seemed unfamiliar with the local area. Whenever we asked about nearby activities, the response was always, “Sorry, we don’t know.” Improving their local knowledge would greatly enhance the guest experience.

A wonderful hotel in a special location in the Mekong Delta. It starts with the pavilion where you hop on a quick boat ride across the Hau River to the private island where the Azerai is located. From there you enter a design forward sanctuary with spacious rooms, relaxing surroundings and a pool which features as the center highlight of the property...and what a gorgeous pool it is. It's a real stunner day or night.
Rooms are lovely with automated everything, always replenished still and sparkling water, plush bedding and the addictive coconut candy ribbons. I loved our view of the properties lily pond.
I saw a previous reviewer speak negatively about breakfast and I couldn't disagree more. I loved the breakfast at the Azerai. I thought it was excellent. Not only was it of high quality but the a la carte model is exactly what I think more hotel breakfasts should be. The idea is not to be stuffed but to have a breakfast that sets you up for the day.
We came down for 2 days from Saigon/HCM to stay at the Azerai and I'm so happy that we did. Great property, highly recommend.

We returned to the Azerai Can Tho for the first time since Jan 2020 just before the world shut down in March due to COVID. We were excited about coming back as part our our three-week tour of Singapore and Vietnam since we had a fantastic time previously.
As a previous traveler wrote, this time we also had mixed feelings.
On the positive side: 1. The resort is beautiful and well laid out. The pool is large and warm. 2. It is tranquil most of the time and provides for a relaxing and peaceful stay 3. We found the food in the main restaurant and grill to be good, varied and fairly priced 4. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful especially in the restaurant and bar. 5. You can get on one of the bikes provided for a quick tour of the resort island (but it will only take you about 15 min max to complete the tour :-)
On the negative side: 1. Unlike other resorts, we were not welcomed back as a repeat guest. No special greeting here. 2. The rooms are not too well insulated from outside noise. We're OK with the birds waking up at dawn, but it doesn't help when the gardener starts work at 7AM right outside your room. As one of the previous reviewers said, it could get busy and noisy, so better insulation in the rooms/windows would help. 3. When we were here last time, the boat ride from the main reception to the island was free and you could use it as often as you want. This time, there are only 2 or 3 fixed times each way in the morning and afternoon when the boat is free. You will need to pay to go outside these times for the 5 min ride. We get it that with the world economy is still getting on its feet and that charging a fee helps to cover the costs for the fuel, but why not just amortize this cost into the room rate? 4. We could not remember all the trash and debris in the water at the boat docking area the last time we were there, but this time it was not a nice sight each time we came back to the resort by boat. Nobody seemed to care about that. Maybe the gardener can fish out the trash at 7AM instead of cutting the grass and trimming the bushes outside our villa ? :-) 5. Please turn on all the pool lights at night. It looked so much nicer back in 2020

Your kind remarks have been shared with the whole team. I am sincerely sorry that we were unable to identify your second stay with us. If your travels should lead you to stay in another Azerai Hotel, please let us know and we will do what is necessary to adjust this error. You are right this new boat transfer formula between the pavilion and the island started recently while offering free access on arrival and departure for all, as well as 4 boat shuttle (8) at fixed times each way during the day. On the other hand, there are always the possibility 24/24, 7/7 to have use the shuttle when the guests wishes it which remains an additional service and henceforth charged at 95,000VND per return boat trip. I totally agree with you about the environment, we have team members who clean our channel entrance and around the island on a regular basis, unfortunately this is a much bigger issue. At our level and on a daily basis we do a lot but unfortunately given the extent of the damage and that the local authority will not take it seriously our efforts will seem derisory. However, we took good note of the morning gardening. Once again, thank you for taking the time to write about your stay and I hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future. The rooms are amazing cabins, which we were able to have two connecting to fit our family. It was finally enough space for the kids to move around. The grounds were well maintained, clean, and high quality. We loved the free bicycle use, the fitness areas, and pools. The housekeeping staff was outstanding - the kids said they were like ninja cleaners who snuck in and cleaned up so quickly!
This resort is great for a getaway where you stay on property, as it is a boat ride if you are going elsewhere. With that being said, we were able to arrange transfer for the times we needed it without any issue.
We appreciated that the resort had special kids activities, however, each time we showed up for one the staff seemed a little surprised we were there. We chalked it up to maybe they aren’t used to kids doing the activities. And the kids club is open to go play, but I think you’d have to arrange for staff to come if you wanted to leave the kids there.
The compulsory dinner we had was nice for adults, but painful for elementary aged kids. We would have appreciated a schedule of events so we knew it was going to take 2.5 hours and run past their bedtime. If we had known, we would have gotten them something else for dinner. For adults without young kids, it would have been lovely.
We had several spa services that were excellent, and added to the relaxation of our stay.
Overall, this resort was the highlight of our trip. I would recommend at least 3 nights to enjoy the tranquility and the resort.

I was so fortunate to stay at this beautiful resort for two nights and can’t wait to return in the future. This is truly a 5 star resort. The rooms are luxurious and appointed with everything you need, cleaned twice a day. The grounds are immaculate, green, lush and with lotus flowers everywhere. The restaurant serves delectable food with an incredible menu. The complimentary breakfast is served a la carte and absolutely delicious. I was especially impressed with the wines served at the resort, I have been disappointed many times in Asia but Azerai has managed to find excellent wines also at a good price point. I used the gym both mornings and it is outstanding with a beautiful view of the river. Good quality bikes are available for the guests to use around the stunning island. The staff was courteous and genuine and a special thanks to Ms Duen & Mr Hieu in the restaurant and bartender Ms Thao for giving me outstanding service. The GM Mr Tyson is hands-on, impressively greeting every guests that arrives at the resort and obviously doing an incredible job running this amazing resort. Thank you Mr Tyson.

The staff is very professional, and the service they provide is excellent. I love the location for total relaxation. The Spa had a wide range of services available. My favorite was the wild Connection Azerai - steam, body scrub, massage, and the fifty-minute shampoo I added to the package. My scalp was happy with the pampering experience from the therapist, Nhan. The hotel is on an island 5, minutes by shuttle boat from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. We took the hotel boat to the Cai Rang floating market at 7:00 a.m., and a light breakfast was on board. The guide also bought a delicious noodle soup and pineapple from the floating food boat, so we ate on the water like the locals. It was a very delicious and awesome experience. Special thanks to all the employees especially Nhan, Lins and Giang the front desk manager.

Fabulous resort, very comfortable room and excellent service from a friendly, attentive and responsive staff. Actually the fact that breakfast was a la carte was very fine with us and the waiters/waitresses were fast to serve. We also had a wonderful private dinner.
