As a pelgrim on my way to Santiago I found this town to be rather averse for a pelgrim. Until I saw the sign of The Moulin de Vrin at only 1 km from the center. The value for money (€90) is really worth it. The view from the terras, with a good glass of wine, made me forget my... More

We were looking for a last minute stay in the middle of our trip to the South of France. We called several places in the Bourges area but they were all fully booked. Until we called Le Moulin de Vrin which had some rooms available. It's a very quiet and green place surrounded by trees, a forest, a small river... More

We stayed here for one night and were not disappointed. This is how a Chambre d'hote should be. Spacious rooms, spotlessly clean. Modern bathrooms and super comfortable bed. Guest comfort is obviously a priority here. They thoroughly deserve all their good reviews. The nearby town of La Charité sur Loire (6km away) is lovely, with a selection of restaurants and... More

We stayed one night in April 2013 - and the room was spacious, modern and comfortable. However, there was an opening between the bathroom and the bedroom, which made it hard to have a shower without wetting the TV. Bit of a design flaw. Breakfast was ok - not a lot of variety, but what was offered was fresh. The... More

We stayed for two nights. Very peaceful and semi rural setting. The owner was very helpful as we had problems with our car. Good breakfast with lovely bread and croissants from the local bakery. Excellent size rooms that could accomodate a further bed. We had a wonderful walk in shower. Good value stop over if travelling down through France.

The location is about as picturesque as you can imagine for French countryside. My wife and I stayed there for one night and the area is beautiful. There's even a few goats bleating in the yard. It's remote and not simple to get to, but there is clear signs when driving to find the place. The service was friendly, but... More

2nd night on our way down through France with our 8-month old son - about 3.5 hours from Dreux. Delightful location beside the river with a large garden.
