Stayed here 2 nights. Very warm welcome by Jacqui and John. Had the suite which was very very spacious! Had the best evening meals ever in NZ! Jackie is a great chef and John the perfect host. In the morning enjoyed the feeding of the pet eels in the stream at the back of the house. Very near to the...

In the middle of the wildest of wildernesses, Mahitahi Lodge is an oasis of comfort and hospitality. The owners go well beyond the extra mile in friendly, down to earth service and the lodge itself encapsulates all the best of West Coast culture. Don't miss the dinner! Fabulous locally sourced and beautifully presented food, with the brilliant and knowledgeable company...

We had the most wonderful evening. The food and accomodation were faultless. John and Jackie were the perfect hosts and John drove us down to the beach after dinner when I was over the limit.you would be mad not to stay here if you've the chance to do so.

5 star accommodation and do yourself a favour and take up the meal option. Its also well placed on the run from Queenstown into the west, not too far in a day, and then close to the glacier country. Self catering facilities are great but take up the meal option! Hosts are great company, and it was nice to meet...

Mahitahi Lodge has a lovely purpose built wing for their let rooms and provide top class accommodation and hospitality. We have had five weeks in South Island New Zealand and Jacqui's dinner and John's breakfast has been by far the best in that time. The wine was superb and led us onward to the vineyard a fortnight later - great...

My wife and I rolled into Bruce Bay and the Mahitahi Lodge after a long bike ride down Hwy 6. We were received a warm welcome from our hosts. We relaxed in a very comfortable room and bed, and enjoyed a lovely hot tub before sitting down for dinner. The food was awesome..highly recommend the dinner option.

Next door to what must be the most beautiful and wild beach in New Zealand. Jackie and John, your hosts, will only make your stay more memorable. Nothing is too much trouble, the room(s) were great and the meal was perfect.

A wonderful stay and perfect accommodation if you want to explore the rugged west coast of New Zealand South Island, especially if you want to be away from the busy resort areas of Franz Josef Glacier and Fox Glacier, but still close enough for a day out to either one. Unfortunately we only had 1 night but we wish we...

We stayed with John and Jackie for two nights in January and had a wonderful time! The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable and we had our own private self catering area. Jacqui and John were amazing hosts and a great team! We really enjoyed John's walk/ drive/ history tour, which was followed by Jacqui's delicious dinner: whitebait fritters and crayfish were just part of the starters to a lovely homemade dinner and dessert. John's breakfast was fantastic and set us up for the next day. The rooms, beds and linen were...
