Very clean, in the middle of the rain forest, quiet, great service, great laundry, good wifi, warm showers, dorms and bungalows, food is tasty and the prices are not very high. To get here, get to the Sundog cafe and they will call a boat to pick you up. Check-in and checkout boat trips are free of charge. Kayaks and...

It was an awesome adventure getting to the restaurant for this cruisers event. You can get there by boat only. Beautiful area. Food was absolutely wonderful. The Swiss sausage was delicious and a must have.

We (3 guys) had a wonderful time at Casa Perico. Staff were friendly and helpful with all our questions and requests. It's not 5 star and if you don't expect that - you'll really enjoy the quiet, fellow guests and great food (recommend the Suisse sausage/chorizo). Easy access by boat into town when you want. They'll also arrange a private...

We stayed two nights in Casa Perico because all the other hostels had no space in their dorms. The hostel is very isolated from everything. If you want to go to the city or somewhere else you have to pay 25 Q for the watertaxi. The food isn't that good and too expensive. But their don't exist any other options...

There´s no HOT WATER but they tells that just that day there´s no hot water...

We definitely do not recommend this place! The rooms are open, so that all kind of insects and other unwanted guests can come in the room. Further the rooms are extremely dirty (eg. Many Dead insects on the bed) and the bathroom was that dirty that we could not even take a shower. You can only achieve the hostel by...

After a long travel from Lanquin, we decided to stay at Hotel Casa Perico because the pictures looked great and it seemed reasonably priced. We waited for the boat to take us over and the ride was so beautiful, we went straight over the lake and then down a more secluded swampy area to Casa Perico. Our first impressions were...

We had an ok stay here, nothing special. From the reviews, we were led to believe that the place would be more beautiful than it was, and that we would be able to do some walks around the jungle, however this is not really the case. The wifi was poor, and even in the bar area worked very sporadically. We...

This place is located in the department of Izabal in the place called Rio Dulce, it is far to get there from the capital, but let me tell you it is worth the trip, if you love nature this is the place, the hotel is built in the middle of mangroves and the river, last month we were visiting there...
