I am not telling you anything new. There are real stress reducing benefits of staying at an airport before an early morning flight. In airport hotels have a reputation for being tired and the food is usually only slightly better than airline food. The Sheraton defies those criticisms. It certainly isn't new, but it is very clean, the staff is cheerful, and the food is somewhat better than typical hotel chain fare. Be prepared for a runway long walk to your room. Ours was about 250 yards down a cavernous hallway. Even though you are in the terminal, Delta's flight to New York checks is nearly the most distant check in area, and then you half to walk all the way back and to another remote area" for us an hour and a half from the time we left the lobby and arrived at our gate. I don't mind walking, but we had bags for a seven week trip. While we prefer to avoid chain hotels, sometimes they are the best alternative. Didn't try their breakfast. We left too early. But lunch and dinner were fine if not memorable.…
Took the train from Milan Central Station and was pleasantly surprised that the hotel was right at the train exit and in the airport. Wonderful! Checking in was the best and most enthusiastic greeting I have ever received ... I wish I had gotten his name but the hotel likely knows who I am talking about. The hotel was clean, the room was large and the bed was extremely comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were very good as well.
We had a somewhat difficult experience changing trains at Milano Porta Garibaldi station to the Malpensa Airport. I was not in a good mood but that all changed as we emerged from the train station at the airport. Right in front of us was the entrance to the Sheraton Airport Hotel - literally! There was even "intelligence" as to where we could get our Covid testing. The room was great with more storage than we had at home. The hotel restaurant was conveniently located. We were greeted by Giovanni (a special shout out to him) and the bread for our salads was worth a journey itself! While there is a Fitness Center, the public spaces are so huge you could do laps around the core. The next day we took the elevator to level 0 and changed to an airport elevator for level"Departures" clutching our negative Covid test results. It was the easiest departure ever.…
I came here for work, it looks really nice, clean rooms but a lot of disadvantages. From the time that i arrived here the front desk just handed us the key cards without any other information about breckfast/lunch/dinner or whatever else. Also, being a cabin crew i need good quality sleep and in this hotel i couldn't rest not even 1 proper hour...In 2 days staying here 2 persons entered my room even if i had my do not disturb sign at my door, the windows are literally making cracking noises all day long, last night the TV opened without reason and i couldn't turn it off (don't know why), the wals are really thin i guess, because i can hear every noise from the other rooms. In conclusion i would not choose this hotel for a personal experience with my family.
I had the opportunity to stay here several times already and I must say I always find it a good option if you have an early flight from the airport. Located directly next to the terminal, modern hotel with nice lobby. Rooms are also modern and nice and soundproof. The restaurant is good, good breakfast buffet. Staff is friendly and attentive. I can recommend this hotel if you need to stay close to the airport. Definitely one of the better airport hotels.
