Detailed Reviews
We were looking for an overnight stop on the way to The Flinders Ranges. We were a group of 5 including three International students. The accommodation was clean and simple and the service good, even though the roadhouse was very busy. Meals were good and cheap. Noisy location on the main highway but that didn't bother us too much

I stayed for one night while driving between Adelaide and Far North. Make no mistake this is budget accommodation and very basic but has to be the best value in SA. Only $45 for a twin room with ensuite, aircon, bedding, fridge, flat screen and tea and coffee. Had a great meal at roadhouse for $13 and everybody was really friendly.

We passed through this place last night on our way back from a 12 hour road trip from Kings Canyon , mum, dad and two sleepy boys. I just wanted to say that the staff were some of the kindest and most genuine, that we have met on the trip. They were friendly and chatty and helpful. The food was fab and they really seemed to have a real interest in us and it was nice to meet such lovely girls. We stopped for coffee, and boy was that the best flat white ever. Perfect flavour and consistency, super tasty. The children had chicken in a bucket and chips. The secret coating on the chicken was divide, Kentucky has nothing on them. The toilets were basic, but clean. We did not stay over. I would recommend this place for good food, reasonable prices and great personality and atmosphere.

The aggressive woman working in the dining area today (17/7) is undoubtably the worst front of house boss I have experienced in 49 years of travelling the world.
Standing mystified as to where I might find a knife and fork with which to eat I was confronted with “what’s wrong with you?”. then “they’ll be brought to you!”.
A few minutes earlier I had asked for for a modest meal with tomatoes etc (as advertised). and was greeted with a contemptuous “what???”
This was a terrific place for years. Now? Uncomfortable, driven by a horrible spirit.
Forget about it.
A disgrace.
That’s just my view.
And the food was terrible.

Accommodation very clean and for the night the price was excellent. Great food at the roadhouse, which was excellent value too. There was tv, air-conditioner, plenty of tea, coffee, milk and sugar all provided for $90. Even a toaster included.

Room Tip: Plenty of free parking and next to roadhouse for meals, which are really good.

I am pleased that the refurbished cabins are again available and excellent value. The cafe meals are also good value. The staff are cheerful and helpful. I will be stopping again on my way to Adelaide.

Whilst the staff were friendly enough the recent upgrade to this Roadhouse has sadly taken away the warm, homely, inviting atmosphere and replaced it with a very sterile one. My once favourite morning breakfast stop on my travels south will no longer be on my itinerary ☹️

The staff here were very friendly and the boss seamed very caring.
Fresh food all day, the chicken bits were yummy and coffee was great as well.
Makes your day when it’s cold and miserable and the cafe staff can’t do enough for you - thanks guys, see you on the way back!
