A bit far from the hustle and bustle of the CBD. It was value for money as its got free parking and basic breakfast for just 10$ extra. Room was basic, TV. Electric kettle, clean sheets and fresh towels, a small fridge. They do have a microwave downstairs at reception to heat up your food. Quiet rooms, a bit more vaccuming the carpet and dusting needed, I guess cleaners think they are not being paid a fair salary and they leave some cleaning, well can't argue with that. There is a coin laundry and a ironing board with iron(free) are available inside the laundry room.

Having never stayed in an Ibis Budget Hotel, I was expecting to compare it to the old Formula One brand. As a basic hotel it was very comfortable, the bed was quite the surprise for comfort, and I had a great sleep. The only issue with the room furniture, I'd prefer a chair, rather than the stool provided, for back support. Two problems with the bathroom (which is much like a cruise ship bathroom) the shower had no shelf to hold toiletries (it was broken) and the light switch was also broken, with the switch pushed into the housing, but still worked. A huge bonus was the amount of power outlets in the room - a total of 6 plugs (5 in the room and 1 in the bathroom) and 2 USB charging points. I didn't have to unpack my powerboard. On the highway, but you could hardly hear the traffic. Of course with Covid restrictions, the dining room isn't available, but there are ample food outlets a short walk away, or use a food delivery service. Would stay here again,

Bed was comfortable, and bathroom was off decent size.
I'm not a fan of the disposable cups in the room though, and I do travel with my own so not a big deal. Tea and coffee supplies were a bit light on.
The exit out onto traffic can be awkward during busy times, and found it best to go out though the entry only, and around the block to the traffic lights.

Air conditioner is broken. If they repair it, they will have to remove the cobwebs first. The room is dim and dingy, poor lighting probably trying to hide the dust.
The tiny room has a queen bed with a bunk above it. Maybe if they provided tissues in the room, there wouldn’t be something smeared on the underside of the bunk.
At least the tv remote works, even though the battery cover is missing.
I will give credit to the friendly and helpful reception staff. But with the way the room is cleaned, I won’t be eating in the dining room.

Im giving this hotel a one star only because the sheets look clean and that’s as low as It will let me. I booked two rooms, one bunk didn’t even have the bed made, which I had to do myself-and staff had to search three floors for a blanket for it, the other rooms bunk had a used cigarette butt up on it, which meant three to a bed as reception was shut. I’m too scared to turn the air con on in case I catch something because it’s filthy, not even the bin is completely empty. Would’ve been nice to know there was no lift and I had to carry my belongings and pram up three flights of stairs. I know it says budget right in the name but this is gross. I’ve stayed in other ibis budgets and it was nothing like this.

The staff were rude enough to make me cry, and the cleaner aggressively knocked on my door intimidating me because my Mum complained about them not emptying my rooms bins or providing enough toilet paper. Or vacuuming my floors after staying a week and a half...I think it's suffice to say, don't stay here. I was also woken multiple times during the night by a large banging noise and the hallways wreaked of (I believe) marijuana smoke.

At first these people were surfacely friendly and then so rude I can't explain. I feel intimidated, hurt and least of all treated with the worst kind of customer service. Cheap stay, don't risk staying here.

By the way, watch out for the young, female cleaner with the nose ring, she's NOT nice, to say the least. They would rather see their staff "defended" for not doing their JOB, then to correct them gently and to see change.

I booked my son and partner in for one night while travelling through. They face timed me to show me the state of the room upon arrival, food stuck on the benches and walls filthy dirty. Then the banging from the nearby rooms.
I told them to move motels but no refund as it was a non refundable room.
I realise you get what you pay for but you do expect it to be clean at least.

The only good things that could be said about this hotel were: the bed was great; the staff were friendly and helpful and the blockout curtain was so good we slept in. The bad things were: we couldn't walk on the carpet in bear feet; the bathroom was small and the whole place looked tired. The only reason we stayed was because it was so close to a daughter's place.

Cheap isn't good and good isn't cheap. Floor was damp the whole time, which was bad enough. Bed was comfortable enough, but ended up with bites all over me. On arriving home, we discovered that we had bought bed bugs home with us from the motel. Never before have I had them, and it has cost us almost $1,000 to treat them, they were everywhere. NEVER AGAIN!!!
