Just a sensational weekend away in the mountains. Mel just does that little bit extra that makes or special. The breakfasts and dinners are wonderful. A perfect chilled time for two. Yeah, there’s wifi, but don’t log on. Chill out by the fire pit or chimenea with a beverage. Enjoy your breakfast in the sun on your deck and slow down.
In a wonderful setting, close enough to Gloucester for cafés, restaurants and the farmers market. Welcoming hosts. Superb breakfasts. And, if you’re lucky, delicious homemade treats for afternoon tea. Very relaxing. If King Parrots and rainforest walks are for you, this is the place. Highly recommended.
What a place its on the door step of Copland tops and the World Heritage-listed Gondwanaland rain forests of Barrington Tops its beautiful. The service we received from Mel was second to none, this lovely woman made my wife and I feel welcome from the first minute. Her bubbly personality is infectious. what ever you do make sure you get there for afternoon tea as she is a great cook and the breakfast is YUMMMMMM, we rushed back in thew afternoon just to put our order in as we didn't want to miss out on putting in our order for the next morning. On our arrival back, our afternoon tea was waiting for us mmm. In all honestly my wife and We have travelled around the world and Mel is the best, we wanted to take her home just book your room asap and you will love it too.
Expect a warm greeting by Melissa & Justin. Nothing is too much trouble. Whether you want to sit by the fire sipping wine, sitting on your private balcony enjoying a meal or a drink or reading a book, or watching flixs on DVD in your room while relaxing on the superior mattress, duna and pillow (yes, they also have a pillow library!), it's up to you (and you won't see them unless you need them!). Lot's of tips and advice about the local area in your room as well as chatting to your hosts. Thanks guys, we would not hesitate staying again.
My fiancé and I just got back from our first stay at Copeland House and we can’t say enough about how much we loved it!! Melissa & Justin should be so proud of what a beautiful job they have done, the attention to detail in the rooms and around the property make it an absolute MUST place to stay! Not to mention Melissa’s cooking....TO...DIE...FOR!! We felt so comfortable and welcome as soon as we arrived and it only got better...we are already planning our next visit!! If you are wanting to explore the Barrington Tops and the Gloucester area then you can’t go wrong with a stay here.
I stayed for 2 nights. The surroundings were perfect and the accommodation first class. I had a spa room overlooking a balcony which faced the mountains. Watching the sunrise from the comfort of my comfortable bed was perfect. Then my breakfast was served in my room. The meal was beautifully presented on lovely china - the food was amazing and Mel is a wonderful cook. I would go back just for Mel's cooking! On the second morning, I had my breakfast on the balcony - peaceful and relaxing. The accommodation was spotless and beautifully furnished with first class linen and toiletries. This place is well worth a visit, you wont be disappointed.
On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome from Mel who made us feel right at home. From the comfort of having fluffy robes, slippers and socks made available to us to the pampering of bath salts, bubble bath and candles whilst relaxing in the spa bath. Mel's attention to detail was exemplary even down to the smallest things like having make-up wipes and black face towels available to use. The comfort of the beds and pillows was outstanding. We usually struggle to have a sleep in past 7 am however both mornings found ourselves reluctantly crawling out of bed closer to 9. Justin was extremely helpful with providing advise on what places to see in the Barrington Tops given our short time frame. Mel's hospitality and meals were exceptional (not to forget your wonderful pizzas Justin!) and allowed us just to relax at the house and enjoy a bubbly and even a glass or two of Gloucester Red. Copeland House is in a beautiful location and is just a wonderful place to stay. Thanks Mel and Justin for hosting us and providing us with wonderful memories!!…
Where do I begin! Copeland House is THE BEST place to stay on your visit to Barrington Tops. Mel and Justin are superb hosts and pay attention to every detail and your every need. Mel is a fabulous cook and makes accommodation for dietary requirements (including Vegans!) The bedrooms are cute and cozy and she provides top notch linens and towels. She even has a pillow library if you need a special one for your neck! Luxury at its best. After doing a few long bush walks and exploring the area - the spa bath is such a treat. She leaves bubble bath and bath salts for that extra touch. And last but not least - the breakfast in the morning is SO WORTH IT! Honestly I can’t fit all of the things I was pleased with in one paragraph. All I can say is you MUST stay here on your trip to Barrington :)…
From the rooms to the friendly service...you would be hard to please if you didn't love Copeland House. The moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome with fresh baked friands served in our room for afternoon tea. The beautiful rainforest setting and numerous wildlife make this an exciting and yet extremely relaxing place to spend a few days. With walking tracks available and a short drive to Gloucester there is something for everyone. Mel's home cooking is incredible!! The breakfasts are devine and there is plenty to choose from. Evening meals are fantastic and I would recommend eating in at night. Mel & Justin could not do enough to make our stay pleasant and memorable.... we'll definitely be back!
Very comfortable, clean and QUIET. If you want to de-stress away from the world this is the place to do it. Spoilt by the food - breakfasts are superb and Mel and Justin are genuinely welcoming. We've stayed in a lot of guest houses and B&B's and this is up there with the best. Did I mention breakfast!
