We came looking for a break away to recuperate and found the perfect place. Mel and Justin are the consummate hosts. Affable and helpful but not in your face.
They have both worked hard on the property and gardens, which are delightful and I pray they get rain very soon.
The rooms are well appointed and the outside breakout areas (with fire pits) are lovely spaces to explore. The shower pressure is not great but you are on tank water and in the country. And just a heads up, the walls are a little thin so if you prefer not to hear your neighbour (or to be heard) then try for the Manning Suite. No morning sun but more privacy.
We had the Cobark suite and breakfast on the verandah was perfect. And my! What a breakfast! The porridge was perfect! Nights were chilly but we had convivial chats with our neighbours around the fire pits. BYO marshmallows and Mel can provide the toasting forks…..
For us , the fact that you could eat in every night was fantastic. Mel is an excellent cook and the potions are large enough to keep leftovers for a picnic lunch the next day. Seriously, don’t bother with the 30 minute round trip to Gloucester. There is a microwave and they provide crockery and cutlery but the fridge is small. Mel’s food is delicious and VERY reasonably priced. And a great choice of DVDs - Stillwater was an unexpected joy.
There is much to offer in the region - bush walks, scenic drives and the normal country getaway offerings. But, just hanging at Copeland House was grand…..
We can’t wait to go again…

We wanted to run away from home for a few days after Christmas with the criteria of finding somewhere very quiet, in nature where we didn't have to prepare any food or go out for our meals. We were so blessed to find Copeland House as it provided all of this and more. This is a unique stay - Mel and Justin have created a beautiful considerate space that recharges the soul and stomach! Feeling a million miles away from the world, surrounded by life's little luxuries in very well maintained and clean facilities, fantastic food, a really comfy bed, privacy if you want it and a gorgeous dog if you miss your fur baby. We highly recommend and look forward to visiting again.

This was our second visit to beautiful Copeland House. Just like our first visit, earlier in the year, there are no words to describe it except Perfection. Mel,Justin and beautiful Fur Baby Tess are exceptional hosts. Our suite was just gorgeous with log fire and all the extras like a Spa bath, fluffy robes and pillow menu and a gorgeous view of their garden. The bird life is amazing and the whole place, just makes you want to stop, breathe and relax. The setting, the Suites, the views and the atmosphere if we could give a rating of 10 we would. Mel prepares the most amazing breakfast and when you do get to visit ,don't bother going anywhere for dinner as, Mel's home cooked meals are as good,if not better than any Chef cooked meals. Mel also prepared a beautiful High Tea in the garden for my partner's Birthday. It was just gorgeous. Thankyou Mel,Justin and Tess for making our stay so special. Copeland House is one of the most lovliest places we have stayed Tammy and Anthony.
Also if you love a Spa Bath, make sure you ask Mel,for one of her Spa Packs definitely worth the little extra to pay.

We had the most wonderful stay at Copeland House. The rooms were tastefully furnished and a lot of thought had been put into every little thing to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Mel is a great cook and hostand we were spoiled with her breakfasts. Loved sitting around the fire and enjoyed our welcome afternoon tea. We had Mel's delicious beef stew for dinner on our first night and cooked a barbeque in the well prepared barbeque area on our second night. Thank you Mel and Justin for making us welcome. I would totally recommend Copeland House if you are up that way. Would definitely stay there again.

My boyfriend and I have just spent the most amazing weekend away. We stayed with Mel and Justin at their beautiful B&B Copeland House near Gloucester. If I could give their B&B 10 stars ⭐️ I would. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we got there. Mel and Justin have created a cozy, romantic and comfortable home away from home. We stayed in the Coback suit, which is private and has a king size bed. Mel has decorated each room tastefully and with such care. They have paid attention to detail and it shows. All rooms have a spa and a beautiful outlook. Our view of the valley was breathtaking. Let’s talk about the bed, oh my lord!! Talk about comfortable. The linen is soft and the pillows are fluffy. And if you like a different sort of pillow you can choose from their very own pillow menu!! We had warm robes in our room and bed socks too! Mel tailored a beautiful winter package for us which includes an incredible homemade delicious breakfast. I can promise you won’t be disappointed or hungry after. We had cocktails in our room, hot chocolate by the fire and an amazing picnic for two. The grounds are stunning with a cozy fire pit lit for you each night, Twinkling lights everywhere and the sound of the bush. If you are looking for a couples retreat, look no further. Mel and Justin will take care of you and you’ll want to stay forever. They also have a gorgeous dog named Tess who just wants to welcome you and play too. Thank you Mel and Justin you made our stay so special and we will be back xxxxxx

Expect a warm greeting by Melissa & Justin. Nothing is too much trouble. Whether you want to sit by the fire sipping wine, sitting on your private balcony enjoying a meal or a drink or reading a book, or watching flixs on DVD in your room while relaxing on the superior mattress, duna and pillow (yes, they also have a pillow library!), it's up to you (and you won't see them unless you need them!). Lot's of tips and advice about the local area in your room as well as chatting to your hosts.
Thanks guys, we would not hesitate staying again.

Just a sensational weekend away in the mountains. Mel just does that little bit extra that makes or special. The breakfasts and dinners are wonderful. A perfect chilled time for two. Yeah, there’s wifi, but don’t log on. Chill out by the fire pit or chimenea with a beverage. Enjoy your breakfast in the sun on your deck and slow down.

In a wonderful setting, close enough to Gloucester for cafés, restaurants and the farmers market. Welcoming hosts. Superb breakfasts. And, if you’re lucky, delicious homemade treats for afternoon tea. Very relaxing. If King Parrots and rainforest walks are for you, this is the place. Highly recommended.

Had an amazing weekend at an absolutely beautiful place with a host that went above and beyond. Mel, you are what makes Copeland House a one in a million. From the moment we arrived we were well and truly looked after, from the most scrumptious breakfasts both mornings, picnic lunch packed for us to take on our excursion into the wilderness, through to having a beautiful cheese platter (all bought from local suppliers) with a bottle of red and a beautiful dinner provided for us to cook on the barbecue when we were ready. We cannot thank you enough Mel....we will be back. Linda & Bill

Hi Guys. I am quite speechless (and you know that's an odd moment for me!). What an absolutely lovely thing to say. But you know the funny thing... when you guys all left on Sunday and the work was done I said to Justin how fortunate we are because we seem to attract such lovely guests and they make this place what it is. I just think there is a lovely energy to the place and you guys just feed it. Which makes me very lucky! Despite the weather, you two just gave into the place and I think that is when you get rewarded with exactly what you came for. It was so much fun having you here and just felt a little lonelier when you left. I truly do hope you find a chance to come back, if only passing through, for a glass of Johnny Walker and Coke (yeh, my recycling bin is full, lol!) and another great chat. In the meantime, take care, and all the best till we meet again. M x.
