My wife and I booked Parklands as we had limited options and the photos looked good online. On arrival we quickly realised this was basically a large, very average looking motel. The rooms were ok but the walls were so thin you could literally hear very word your neighbour said. The breakfast on Saturday morning was served cold and was simply terrible and certainly not fresh! To cap things off there was a conference on with some extremely loud and rowdy guests who stayed up all night drinking and shouting until the early hours. We got up early and had a lovely breakfast in Mudgee ....we couldn't get out of Parklands quickly enough

Accommodation is at a premium all over the country because international travel is not allowed for most. Hotels are making up for the quiet period just past and charging high prices and using COVID as a great ‘excuse’ to cut back on once included ammenities or services but with no reduction in the price - to the contrary - prices are at times, ridiculously high. Despite COVID clean principles in place have just stayed in 3 hotels in as many weeks that certainly didn’t adhere to ‘clean and hygienic for your protection’ !

the resort was very clean and well maintaind. My only complaint was it was very expensive for a country motel. we stayed for a local cycling event and it worked well as close to the event!! beds could be split into singles and it was. a reasonable room size.

Nice rooms, nice outlook. Room not serviced during stay. The Vine Restaurant & Bar was shown on the Parklands & Accor websites as being open for dinner however was closed every night. Reception was often slow with good volumes of guests checking in and out.

For our money, Parklands represents the best choice of motel in the township. This is the second time we have stayed for two nights and I take great comfort in booking via Accor Hotels' website. The resort has 72 rooms, half on the ground floor, the remainder up a flight of stairs, with secure car parking outside the ground floor room doors (making unpacking/packing the car a simple operation). The resort is staffed at all times (and now includes a friendly cat as part of outdoor staff), well lit at night (when it matters). Our room was one of those ground floor units, with a newly refurbished bathroom, excellent Panasonic reverse cycle aircon/heater, large flat screen TV offering Youtube, Netflix and one other (can't recall its name) and the usual Accor very comfortable beds with extra pillows and blankets. The ground floor units all have separate balcony access to the verandah. Despite it being a football/airshow/carshow/races weekend, and the hotel fully booked, our room was super quiet with no noise coming from adjacent rooms or above us.

Room Tip: Ask for a ground floor unit, as you have access to a car park outside your door and a verandah...
