Have just enjoyed our 3rd 3 night stay with friends at Wombadah. Again, great hospitality from owners, Ray & Kaye. Spacious rooms, beautiful king beds, amazing rural views, delightful home cooked breakfast, just a few minutes out of Mudgee / $20 each way taxi fare, complimentary bottle of local wine and port in each room, great guest common room with verandah, aircon, TV, tea & coffee facilities, refrigerator, wine glasses, plates & cutlery ...happy hour heaven!! Each room has an ensuite and a rear door access onto the verandah, with a table & chair for 2. There is also undercover parking, a pool & spa ...and plenty of cover & space and books to read if there is a little rain. ....and if you enjoy a little wine ...plenty of nice cellar doors and eating options less than 10 mins away. We'll return!!

As a party of 4 we chose the Mudgee Region to celebrate a significant birthday . We we very lucky to find availability at the Wombadah Guest House . Our hosts hospitality was wonderful starting with the rooms which were spotless. They all had amazing views overlooking the olive trees and valley which really allows you to unwind and take in the breathtaking views and picturesque sunsets . Their breakfasts were delicious and more than enough in preparation for the day ahead .Ray and Kay are very knowledgable and happy to pass on information that will ensure that you see , taste all that the Mudgee region has to offer. Thank you both for a great stay and we look forward to returning .

This was a weekend away with a group of 8 to do a bit of wine tasting experience great food and in some small way help the regional communities like Mudgee after the bush-fires and COVID. Well we found the perfect place to stay. A well presented B&B with 4 beautifully presented King rooms with their own en-suites. Each room had access to a balcony that overlooked the Olive grove and enjoy a drink at sunset. Unfortunately the weather was overcast to be able to experience this. The bottle of wine and carafe of port in each room was a nice touch There is a very spacious and well set out guest lounge at the end of the rooms that makes for a perfect place to unwind at the end of the day with a drink or two or coffee in the morning. The breakfast was exactly what we wanted with cereals, fruit , toast, home made jams and coffee/tea to start then a hot cooked option which was very tasty and freshly cooked by Kaye. Kaye and Ray were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. They also joined us afterwards for a chat which was lovely. Ray's knowledge of the area and places we should visit was very much appreciated. The accommodation is perfectly placed from the wineries and town. Highly recommend for anyone that wants to get away to unwind and enjoy what Mudgee has to offer.

We had not been up to Wombadah for about 3 years, and this time took friends along for a 3 night stay. Everything was just great. Kaye and Ray are very welcoming hosts. The rooms are very, very large. The guest lounge is outstanding and a great place to relax on a cold evening after dinner - much better than just being stuck in our room. Breakfast is everything you could want - and more. Spend some time to look at the attention to detail, and please make sure you try Kaye’s home made jams. Pity she did not have any left over! Thanks again Kaye and Ray for a fantastic time, and for all the advice about what we could enjoy in the Mudgee area. Hope to see you soon. Cheers Mike and Wendy

This is a special place and Ray and Kay are such lovely people. The views out across the valley are amazing. One day of our stay it rained and we just sat on the deck looking out across the valley as the rain swept across the hills and up the valley. Lightning stabbed and thunder rolled across the skies while we sat comfortably and well protected on the private decks outside our room. You are greeted in your well appointed room by a bottle of wine locally sourced by Ray. Kay makes the amazing breakfasts and they both come out to sit and chat with you once you have finished. This after breakfast chat is really valuable for the insights you will gain about the local wineries, good tours, places to drive or ride your bicycle, historical notes whatever you want to know about the area. The house is a 20$ taxi ride from Mudgee and has a feeling of splendid isolation while really only being just outside the township. We will definitely be back.
