Room was sufficient - clean and tidy. Location was good. Window to the room gets mornign sun and with just plantation shutters - there is a fair bit of light in the morning - okay if you are looking to get up early but not if you want to sleep in - I would prefer blackout curtains. Would also like better ventilation for the bathroom - it didn't have an exhaust fan - just relied on the user opening the small window. Parking can also be an issue if the motel is full - not enough parking spaces for every guest. Other than these issues it is a reasonable motel.

Lost count of how many times we have stayed here through lifes journey. we have stayed in the Family rooms, a fair few of the other rooms. We have been joined by friends and family and just had the odd couples weekend. Over the 30+ yrs of going to Mudgee/ Gulgong , this is the all round best place to stay. Walking distance to Pubs, Clubs , Shops , cafes and great value to boot. Rooms are clean comfortable and a good nights sleep is promised. I even love the wrought iron table & chairs outside of each room for a cuppa or a quite drink.

Soldiers Motel was well located in the heart of Mudgee within walking distance of restaurants, pubs and shops. The beds were comfortable, shower was good and our room was quiet. There was a microwave, crockery and cutlery but would have liked a cutting board. Recommend.

Friendly and helpful staff from the initial booking through to checkout. The room was clean and tidy with the bathroom setup different (basin outside bathroom) and awkward. Easy walking distance to restaurants. Would recommend for an economical stay

Friendly staff, close to everything, room clean and comfy. Only disappointment was no electric blanket ☹️ However room was warm with the aircon. Parking a bit squishy but all in all, good value for money 😊

If you are looking for a clean and comfortable bed within walking distance of all that the Mudgee townsite offers, Soldiers Motel fits the bill. Competitively priced and perfectly located, we were pleased that we were able to wander on foot to pubs, restaurants, and shops and enjoy this lovely town without having to hop in and out of our car. It also meant that we could enjoy some of Mudgee's wines without worry about getting back to the motel. Speaking of which, our room was light, lovely, clean and well appointed. It presented more as an studio than a typical motel room. The wooden window louvres added a nice touch. We even managed to enjoy the spa bath. Would happily stay there again!

Staff friendly, rooms comfortable and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. We stayed 3 nights . Gives you opportunities to visit the numerous wineries in the area. We found Mudgee a very pretty and friendly place. Highlight recommend.

One night only here. Older style motel. Great location in town and next door to the club, and near other pubs and restaurants. Comfortable enough bed and seemed clean and plenty of parking. Issues were the old aircon was very noisy, and it struggled with a cold Mudgee winter’s night. Also some issues with the TV, and the shower was only ok. You pay for what you get and this is a good budget option. But if you want a bit more comfort and modern functionality, look elsewhere.

Seamless check in by cheerful staff members. Rooms have been renovated since the last visit to Mudgee. Found them to be clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a little dated but adequate for a couple of nights visit. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Will stay here next visit.

My wife and I had a ground floor room, good amenities, great location and friendly and helpful management. The central location is a short walk to the best pub meals in town which was a huge plus for us. Good value for money and would definitely stay there again.
