Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lost count of how many times we have stayed here through lifes journey. we have stayed in the Family rooms, a fair few of the other rooms. We have been joined by friends and family and just had the odd couples weekend.

Over the 30+ yrs of going to Mudgee/ Gulgong , this is the all round best place to stay. Walking distance to Pubs, Clubs , Shops , cafes and great value to boot.

Rooms are clean comfortable and a good nights sleep is promised. I even love the wrought iron table & chairs outside of each room for a cuppa or a quite drink.

This was our 40th Wedding anniversary weekend and finally managed to 'getaway' from home for it. We booked the motel direct after researching motels in Mudgee.
The reception person was very pleasant and made to booking with payment not required until we arrived. The bonus was that Club Mudgee is immediately adjacent to the motel.
The room was on the ground floor and the furthest away from the street, making it very quiet. But the street was quiet anyway so I don't think it would matter.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom functional, although the over the bath shower made standing a bit awkward.
The location of the motel, close to the centre of town is very convenient for walking around rather than having to drive.

We booked a unit which contained two rooms for our family of three.
Along with the QR code, a manual pen-and-paper COVID sign-in was readily available at reception as an alternative which I appreciated.

Clean and serviceable with good water pressure in shower and very quick hot water.

We stayed in room 10 on the upper level, one of the closest to the road. Although I slept adequately, I would recommend a room further back from the road if you are a light sleeper. The main room with the queen bed had a little noise due to trucks on the road outside and some noise from the next room, but my sister slept very well in the room with the single beds.

There was a $15 extra charge to use the spa bath in the room.

We did not utilise the pool as we stayed for only one night but I noted that it appeared very clean, one of the cleanest I have seen at a motel of this star rating.

The rooms are OK, but remind me of an old housing commission house.
The sink is not in the bathroom but opposite the kitchenette.
The shower curtain has what looks like  blood stains on it.
The shower has no pressure at all and runs hot and cold every 2 minutes, until we called to complain where the pressure only was fixed.
The mattress needs replacing as is saggy and uncomfortable.
The windows will not stay open.
There's a spa bath in the room but needs a key to switch it on and the key is not supplied.
There is not enough parking for the amount of rooms and I had to park in the club next door carapark.
The pool was covered over giving a clear message that you can't use it even though the weather was in the high 20s.
The club next door has bowls and a guy was out mowing at 6am!

We stayed for 2 nights while attending a funeral in Mudgee. The location is great - everything within walking distance - Club Mudgee is around the corner & a couple of great pubs nearby as well. Room was clean, bedding comfortable & the staff were very pleasant.

A very convenient location, with Club Mudgee just beyond the car park and a small children’s playground nearby.

It is also 5-15 mins walk to the many restaurants and cafes.

We had a king size bed which was very comfortable. The room was spacious and the large tv screen was enjoyed from the bed. I was very excited when I saw Netflix but it was not connected.

The bathroom was rather small with the sink outside. There were dead insects (not the motel’s fault) in the bathtub each morning.

I found the wash pump packs a bit difficult to use. It took heavy pressure to pump put the liquids.

I appreciated the microwave and the small selection of cutlery. There was also a small selection of drinks and chips at very reasonable prices. I enjoyed the complimentary biscuits with my tea.

The place was very clean.

We paid $730 for 3 nights in a 'suite' in this old and very tired motel. While the outside of the building looks OK, the inside is another matter. We had to watch where we walked in the bedroom as the water from the leaking shower appeared from under the floor boards. This is clearly a known and long-standing problem. Water damage was clearly visible around door frame and floor area.
All fittings were dusty and in need of a good clean and, ideally, a revamp.
The price paid most certainly did not match the accommodation provided.
On the upside, the location was very central so we could walk into and around town easily.
I'm sorry to say I won't stay here again.

A pleasant hotel, in an excellent location in the centre of town. It is just a walk across the car park to Club Mudgee for a meal, or a couple of blocks to hotels, shops and restaurants. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are cosy, with reverse cycle air-conditioning and electric blankets fending off very chilly winter weather. The staff are pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
