Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

My bestie and I are doing a road trip around the state and we are staying in a lovely little cottage, called “The Olives”.

Everything you could possibly need is provided on arrival, stacked fruit bowl, milk and butter in the fridge. Within easy walking distance to town, Aldi is just around the corner.

And the beds are extremely comfortable and very good quality with beautiful bed linen. Could not be happier we chose to stay for three days at “The Olive”.

Lovely country style rooms with high ceilings . Room including the bathroom had been very tastefully renovated .
Excellent and friendly welcoming reception staff . Perfect location across from a large park and walking distance to the shops , hotels and restaurants . Very good value for money and the bathroom essentials ( shampoos etc) were very classy . Will definitely return for another stay.

Stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay.
Pro's":
*Stayed in Suite 1 which was large, comfortable bed, very clean, very nice bathroom,well stocked bar fridge at reasonable prices;
*Upstairs rooms have access to a wide balcony with chairs and table. Great for sitting out there wit a glass of wine and watching world go by;
* Hertitage building which was originally a Pharmacy in the 1870's, but fully renovated;
*Friendly helpful staff;
*Cafe serves great breakfast;
*Walking distance (1 block) to main CBD area to Mudgee.

Cons:
*On Catlereagh Hwy so a bit of traffic noise (Windows double glazed but still used ear plugs);
*Only 4 off street parking spots.

1870 building with a mix of historical quirk and modern flare. Well appointed with a cafe at the door with mouth watering breakfast options, conveniently located in the quiet surrounds yet an easy walk to all the essentials of the Mudgee cbd. Prime position across from the Saturday farmers markets. Great service and cleanliness is on point. A great find.

We were recommended this place by a local. Recently renovated older style place where Our room was thankfully on the ground floor although regularly heard the floorboards were creaking and groaning from above.
Lots of money spent on the renovations whilst still maintaining old world charm
As to the bed - not the greatest as we had an ordinary night sleep
Unfortunately we stayed there on a Sunday night which meant we could not have breakfast at the on-site cafe as it doesn't open Mondays - just wish the staff member who checked us in told us that ................

The room we were in was spacious, clean and very comfortable and the staff were friendly.

The location of this hotel however is awful. Albeit an easy walk to the main part of town, restaurants, shops and bars, it is on the corner of two cross streets which we found out is used by all trucks to bypass the town. So starting at 5am each morning you hear semi trailer after semi trailer rattling past this hotel. To make things even worse they have put a round about on this corner so your hear the semi trailers crunching their gears and brakes from the crack of dawn.

Dear Ann, Thank you for your review. We are happy you have found our hotel clean and comfortable. As you noted the hotel is located close to the centre of Mudgee, a busy regional town. Unfortunately, along with the excellent location, one also gets a certain amount of traffic and town background noise. We are sorry to hear this affected your stay, but hope you enjoyed your time in Mudgee. Thank you. Kind Regards, Management

We loved the upstairs room and access to the verandah. So relaxing to sit outside. Room had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Room was spotless and the bed was sooooo comfortable. Nice heavy drapes and air-conditioning. The cafe adjacent to the hotel has great food and coffee. Not open on Monday (but everyone needs a break!!) So many places to visit - BeePower only a few minutes away by car has amazing well priced products and a great cafe. The art gallery is just across the road - it is lovely to walk down to the park nearby alongside the river. All in all we had great accommodation and Mudgee is much bigger than we anticipated. Highly recommend a visit to Mudgee and definitely stay at the Parkview Hotel.

What a great choice. Lovely building, finished with everything you need. Receptionist was delightful. The room was not large but well set up, loved the pressed tin roof in the bath room. And the bed was lovely and firm - very comfy. Thanks, will be back.

Recently did a road trip around New South Wales and stayed at the Parkview Hotel in Mudgee. Terrific little hotel and very handy to town.
The young lady at reception was very friendly and helpful.
Our upstairs room was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.
Hotel is at a fairly busy intersection, so we were a little concerned about the noise, but this was not an issue.
We have stayed in a lot of nice places in Mudgee, but I think this is the pick of them.

Had a two night stay here ( suite 2) , very lovely accommodation with an amazingly comfortable king bed. Walking distance to all shops, pubs and restaurants. Checkin and out was a breeze with no dramas, also a very quite location. Definitely recommend the Parkview.
