Detailed Reviews
This was an all around fantastic family weekend getaway. The farmhouse has all the old charms with a lovely modern finish. Sleeps 10 which was perfect for us. So many areas to chill and have space inside and out.
Paul was a fabulous host from start to end. All his recommendations were perfect.
The kids loved the bike ride from the farmhouse to the winery to see the chickens! Hours of fun while the adults drank wine on the wrap around veranda taking in the serenity.
We spent mornings at the wineries, then back for lazy lunches out the back, walks down to a Blue Wren which was my favourite wine of the Trip! The Shiraz Reserve ❤️. The sunsets were out of this world! I would highly recommend this house for groups. Bed linen was hotel quality, so comfy and heated air con was perfect. We will be back 🥰 A big shout out to Paul and Kip

Had a lovely dinner there with friends last weekend. The food was tasty, fresh, and creative, and the share plates made the whole experience convivial. The farm-produced house red was excellent. The large space felt airy and expansive; we worried on a busy Friday night it would be too noisy but it was only a problem at the very end of the evening. While we didn’t have dessert, we had ordered 3 small plates, 2 large plus crunchy potatoes, plus a glass of wine each which was a really reasonable $69 each for excellent food. The service was very good also. We’ll come back! We also loved the huge Blue Wren mural inside 😀

Lovely setting, delicious food that is seasonal and prepared beautifully and fabulous staff. In particular Muffie, yes, unique name but friendly, helpful, informative and a credit to the business.
We were looking for a casual meal, simple good food prepared well and we found it.

We had lunch at the restaurant within Blue Wren - The Barn. The food & service was fabulous. Really enjoyed my braised beef shank and the Blu Wren 13 Shiraz. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Great dessert and complimentary white port. We had been many years ago and now they are really great 👍

We enjoyed our stay very much. Hosts were wonderful and were accomodating to our requests. Great outdoor location. However, at times (especially the kids) felt uneasy. Unusual creaking near the stairs and unprovoked motion near the swings made them think were ghosts! We reassured them it was strong winds! Overall, great stay.

This is a modern farmhouse which can be let as a multi tenancy accommodation. The four rooms are not ensuited and share two bathrooms and hence travel from bathroom to bedroom is to be undertaken with caution as other residents may be encountered . It is similar to a share house arrangement which means privacy is sacrificed. The bedroom inbuilt cupboards had no hanging or shelving for one's clothes. The WIFI was unavailable during our stay and the appleTV was also unavailable. Timber flooring made for noisy late night revellers return. This place may be best suited to a large single family group and not recommended for couples

Responded 20 Dec 2017
Hello and apologies you've not enjoyed your stay here. Please feel free to make contact through any staff, especially the General Manager, to ensure your stay is comfortable. To clarify, the main room is en-suited, with two 'nests' of two double king-sized beds and dedicated bathrooms. The Farmhouse has five bedrooms, sleeping 10 people, total. Apologies also if Apple TV and Internet weren't working; again please let us know if the kitchen, reading room, pool, spa, verandahs or anything is not to standard - we aim to please! We have installed inbuilt cupboards with hanging space, due to your comments. Join us at the restaurant or enjoy a complimentary wine flight as we'd like to make it up to you? Travel safe, The Blue Wren Team
