OVERALL A fantastic family centered resort that offers a jaw-dropping amount diversity in pool areas and activities. My impression is that this hotel has grown over time which might explain a some what odd lay out of the different areas and passages that invoke crowdings and unnecessary traversing. It brings plenty of ambition but falters on some minor areas. I would definitely recommend a stay to any family looking for a good European all-inclusive experience! I honestly didn’t think it could be this good in Europe. DISCLAIMER The stay was mid October of 2021 following the end the European third wave of COVID-19. Thusly, my observations might not be fair or representative of overall level of service. Also, my preference mainly lies with Asian or Mexican resorts, there are cultural differences to be found here which attributes to some of my opinions. Lets brake it down. PROS: - Massive complex and pool areas, yes areas, the main ones with life guards. - Great amount of sunbeds and free towels. - Although the hotel is very familyfrirendly there will be no issue of finding a more quiet part of the grounds - There are areas where kids aren’t ”allowed” which I think is good. - Evening entertainment is plentiful, I never stayed up late enough to see what adult entertainment they offered. - Large diversity of options for food and changing culinary themes. - A decent hotel gym as far as hotel gym goes. - Generally friendly and service minded staff (but this is not Thailand) - Great proximity to Nissi beach, walking there takes roughly 5 minutes. - Efficient and quiet AC. - Deserts and fresh fruits selections are great. - Great play areas for bigger and smaller kids. CONS - The main dishes ranged from average to delicious, you should have no trouble finding something you like but the level could be a little more even. (I honestly prefer well made local food compared to average international food. - The rooms (in the tallest building) are a little dated and need some small repairs, our soap dispenser was loose in our room, there was a general shortage of hooks in the bathroom for towels and storage rooms n the room. The satellite reception of the TV was pretty bad. - A lamp on the balcony would have been nice touch for evening reading. - The cleaning of the gyms lower free weight room left a little to be desired. - The all-inclusive alcohol seldom left me thirsty for more them one glass of anything except maybe the white wine.

After all the stress never ending paperwork it was good to eventually arrive & check in to the Aeneas. Check in smooth however if your expecting help with your cases don't we arrived around 2am and Security showed us to our room with zero help as he dragged us blindly around the resort and upstairs to our room with 4 cases and a kid in tow..is what it is won't dwell on it there maybe a better service throughout the day. We were in room 734 which was supposed to be a upgraded pool view room however we overlooked the swim up rooms and not the main pool as expected so be aware when booking I did question them at reception and was told it was a pool view ...no it's not it's a swim up room view the pool was around the corner out of site?? And to be honest I wasn't packing up to move again. Rooms are nice & big with plenty of storage, the beds are comfy be aware the shower is within the bath and there's not much room to move around especially with a large wall mounted empty shower gel container in the way!! Fridge in room (empty) and not great to be honest. One negative on the room the cleaning was very sub standard throughout the week it was a rush job and most times sand / dust etc was left throughout our stay maybe we just got unlucky our cleaner was no spring chicken lol. Nice big pool area with plenty of sun beds pool was a little cold in fact across the road the sea was warmer.... food was decent, enough choice for week unsure if I could've last 2 weeks thou, the a la cartes's are good steakhouse and Taverner were very good and we ate out a couple of times further down the road to break it up a little. The staff were pleasant enough across the whole resort in particular the buffet we had no issues at all all very helpful. The same cant be said of the some guests thou special mention for the Russians who were loud , annoying , arrogant and will not queue or acknowledge you even exist. Hygiene controls are in place , masks & gloves in restaurants (well most people) the hotel is in a great location situated across the road from Nissi beach however if you want a bed or space on the beach get there early 7am onwards as it gets manic quickly. Gym is good , kids club was good , Entertainment team tried their best but it was a bit cheesy. Hire a car explore , get out & enjoy Cyprus. I stayed at the TUI BLUE Atlantica Aegean Blue in Rhodes in October both are very similar and I am aware it is difficult times just now with Covid and of the challenges faced by both hotels & staff however the little extras that have disappeared ie. stocked mini-bars need to be re-introduced , shower gel etc I just don't understand that given hygiene ?

What can I say.. this hotel has been amazing from start to finish. We’re a family of 5 with children ages 7, 4 and 1. We go on holiday (pre-pandemic) ALOT! So we have visited many hotels all over the world. This is one of the best by far. I genuinely don’t understand people’s reviews for the hotel, it really put us off before we arrived and we were so worried but we absolutely had nothing to worry about. It’s a 5 star but maybe it’s not a Jamaica/Mexico 5 star that some expect. To start with the food… great choice and so much to choose from. Meat all cooked to an extremely high standard. If you’re fussy, there’s always pizza, chips, nuggets etc. Breakfast was a great selection too, from pastries to a full English breakfast. The deserts were also out of this world, always so much choice and best I’ve had for a long time on all inclusive. The snack bar was good too, didn’t use it too much but great if you just want a sun bed snack rather than going to the restaurant. The drinks are great, table service at lunch and tea. White wine, Prosecco, beer and cocktails is what we had most of the time. Beer was a bit hit and miss depending which bar you got it from- lobby bar seemed to be the best. All staff were so friendly and hardworking in the restaurant and bars (lobby bar not so much but it is what it is!) they can’t do enough for you and always a little chat every day, we had one wonderful lady in the restaurant who was amazing with our children and so helpful - thank you! The rooms were amazing, we had a one bedroom suite, so much room for us all, beautifully decorated and always super clean, the cleaners do a brilliant job. Our children loved the pools, with the different age ranges, it had something for everyone. The shallow bit so our 1 year old could sit and splash and the deeper bits for our other two who want to swim and jump around, they spent all day in there, never getting bored. The pool areas were clean too. It started to get a bit busier towards the end of our holiday and if you weren’t out early 8/830 you struggled to get sun beds. The area the hotel is located is great. It’s right opposite Nissi beach which is so busy but a beautiful beach all the same. The bus is so easy to use, a bus stop right outside the hotel and it’s only 1.50 for anywhere in the aiya napa area. Aiya Napa is about a 30 minute walk which we only did once because we have lots of little legs that didn’t want to do it again! Where the entertainment is held, isn’t huge, I could imagine when the hotel is fully booked, it may be difficult to get a seat but it was fine for us as we weren’t there in high season. Another person I want to mention is Dimitra who works at the stage area serving drinks- she is amazing! So so hard working and friendly, we loved our chats. We felt for her as she was the only one waitressing drinks as for some reason you couldn’t go to the bar to get your own (which we would of happily done). And last but definitely not least, I want to say a massive thank you to the entertainment team, to be honest, they actually made our holiday. Isabel, MoMo, Mika, Michael (Daniel), Roberta & Robb - you guys are amazing! We have loved joining in the sun bed family games, the little games like kick darts/aqua golf around the pool. You have made it so enjoyable and something for all the family to get involved in. We’ve never done as many activities on a family holiday as we have on this one! You’re all super friendly and so wonderful at your job, our kids loved you, as did we. The shows you put on at night time were amazing too - The amount of energy you all put into the dancing with the kids and after the shows, is brilliant- you always have lots of energy and are ready to go every show time. Mika, Michael and Isabel- you guys can really sing, we could of sat and listened to you all night after night. Also the sports girls Mila and (not sure of the other girls name) were amazing, I joined in aqua aerobics most days - which is unheard of for me! Overall I would recommend staying at this hotel, we had a fab time and would love to visit again one day.

Another amazing holiday at this resort. TUI staff amazing again, they worked tirelessly day and night. Restaurant staff again brilliant and plenty of choice for food, food could of been hotter but other than that no complaints. Entertainments team especially Michael were brilliant, Michael runs on Duracell batteries he has so much energy. We took part in aqua fit every day and both ladies and gents were actively encouraged to join in and so we did. It was a good class with laughs and encouragement. Pools were huge and clean. Lifeguard on duty at all times. Plenty of sun beds for all and no need to get up and reserve at six in the morning like some hotels. All inclusive works well. Plenty of opportunities to join in the events program which was broadcast several times daily . Couple of nights disturbed sleep from a fire alarm fault but this was quickly sorted. TUI staff interaction with guests was first class. Two supermarkets pretty much on site and the beach a stones throw away makes this an ideal location. Bus stop outside gets you a bus to Ayia nappa for one euro fifty. Plenty of taxis at reasonable prices if u don’t want a bus ride. All together an amazing two weeks. Can’t wait to come back again soon. Sad faces on leaving day

We are a young couple aged 29 + 34 and we travelled to this hotel for our honeymoon. HOTEL AND ROOMS – The hotel is beautiful. It is always well kept, clean and staff are mostly friendly. Nice big lobby/reception which has air con and sofas to chill on. There is a hotel shop which sells all necessities and nibbles. We stayed in room 916 which was a modern family room over looking the quieter pool. There was a shower room, bathroom with jacuzzi bath, absolutely tonnes of storage space and a dressing table. The room also has Air con, kettle, coffee machine, a mini fridge and a balcony over the pool. The bed was humongous and I must say it is the comfiest bed I have EVER slept in. We had to peel ourselves out of it each morning. The plug sockets are English here so no need for an adaptor. There are some swim up rooms which look lovely but we did notice that they don’t get sun all day. So even though there are loungers and big comfy beds on the terraces; if you are a sun worshipper then you will still have to go find a sun lounger by the pool at some point in the day. The gym is great and has everything you need. You can get pool towels from next to the gym and can exchange these every day. THE SPA – This is a must!! We had a couples Swedish massage which that good we re booked for a second. The spa is lovely and cool, tranquil, the staff are very lovely and are excellent at their job. It is the best massage I have EVER had. POOLS – There is a variety of pools, one is classed as an adults pool and is very tranquil and quiet. One is more of a family pool and has some odd entertainment around it through the day and a bit of music now and again. There is an indoor pool, a little round splash pool for the small kids and a kids pool with slides and a big pirate ship; it looked great. FOOD AND DRINK – Spoilt for choice!! The buffets have enough food to suit everyone. Breakfast consists of full English; sausage, bacon, variety of eggs, beans, hash browns, tomatoes and mushrooms. There are also pancakes, croissants and pastries, toast, salads, meats and cheeses, cereals and porridge and a large variety of fresh fruits and yoghurts. Lunch and evening meal – if you cannot find something then you are a very fussy eater. There is a fantastic salad bar that has everything you can imagine, pastas, rice, fresh fish (which is boneless!) Everywhere I have ever been I have always found the fish is full of bones however it is quite the opposite here. Absolutely beautiful. There are lots of meat options. The ham/gammon joint with apple sauce was one of my favourites. At evening meal they do themed nights as well as their usual buffet. The only theme night that I felt was let down by was the Mediterranean night. Nothing really matched. There is always pizza and chips on if all else fails. The puddings were delightful. Such a huge variety and were so tastey. Better than any hotel I have been to before. They also have cheese and crackers and fruits. There are 2 a la carte restaurants – the green and grill; which was gorgeous, really nice atmosphere and decoration, friendly staff, waiter service and the food was sensational. The taverna on the other hand wasn’t up to the same standard and I actually didn’t eat much of my meal in there and ended up going to the buffet afterwards. You can get unlimited bottles of water from any bar which is a great touch. The pool side snack bar was great, it serves pizza, hot dogs, burgers, chicken nuggets, salads, sandwiches, wraps and ice creams. At the moment you are required to wear a face mask and plastic gloves when you are getting your food in the restaurants – but this really isn’t an issue. The drinks were very average. They have the usual fizzy pops on offer and the alcohol were the cheaper versions. Unfortunately drinks are served in paper cups which doesn’t feel right at all when you are drinking an alcoholic drink. Even in your rooms you only have paper cups where I would expect a proper tea cup. LOCATION – Good location. Out of the hotel to the left you are 1.8km to Ayai napa, we walked here which took about 40 mins each way and it is a pleasant flat walk with lots of shops and restaurants along the way. Ayai napa wasn’t what we expected. It was fairly quiet (probably due to covid). Across the road from the hotel you have the beautiful Nissi beach. Sun loungers are 2.50 euro each for the full day. There are some snack bars and cocktail bars here too. The beach is lovely and clean and is a blue flag beach so you can swim and paddle. The start of the sea is very shallow so kids are very safe to play in the water. There is a little island that you can walk out to. Water comes up to hip height on an adult. This island is where all the water sports are; parasailing, jet skis, kayaking, banana boats, peddloes etc. Good prices and friendly staff. PROTARAS is about a 15 min taxi ride away (20 euros). It is quite lively with live bands playing and a strip of bars and restaurants. Probably a bit more upper class than ayai nappa. WATER WORLD – 10 mins away in a taxi ( 8 euros each way), Water world is a great day out. It was very quiet when we were there so we didn’t queue for a single slide and went on them numerous times. There is food, drink and bars available in the park. Lockers for storing belongings (5euros) and the sun loungers are free to use. Some slides are in dingys or rubber rings. Things to improve – I was disappointed that the coffee machines didn’t have a decaf option as I cannot drink caffeine. Drinking out of paper cups let the hotel down and it makes it feel more of a 3* than a 5*. It would be nice to have bottles of water in the fridges in the bedrooms but this could be due to covid. Also the hotel felt like it didn’t have much atmosphere – some music around one of the pools through the day would be great. The Taverna restaurant food could be of a better standard. Meat very fatty and squid under cooked. Overall a great holiday. We didn’t want to go home. I would recommend this hotel for a 7-10 day stay. Great for families or couples.
