I booked this B&B to celebrate my 30th Birthday with 8 of my friends. Our stay was perfect, Susanne was such a lovely host, she answered all my many questions before our stay and when we arrived showed us around the whole house. The B&B itself is immaculate, spotlessly clean and bedrooms are lovely, all en-suite and with everything you...

We booked this B&B with the previous owner and only on confirming our arrival time did we find it was under new ownership. On being shown to our room the owner pointed out a kitchen, bathroom and the breakfast room. Our room was at the top of the house and was a good size albeit with very low beams, please...

A large room on the first floor with two steps down to a compact en suite. Clean, tidy and an enormous bed. We arrived late, but Sue was very welcoming and took her time showing us around. A decent breakfast menu with plenty of choice. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

4 of us stayed here for 1 night when attending a function. The rooms are beautifully furnished, clean and charming. Hosts couldn't do enough and breakfast was lovely. We'd stay there again as it's such a lovely place in a charming village. Highly recommended

The Buttercross has now been taken over by Sue and her partner, Bob. They were both very friendly kind and accommodating. You can rent the whole house or just a room. Everything in great decorative order with some fun touches ( I loved the rather impressive stuffed Raven!) We had two rooms which were both very tasteful with comfy beds....

My wife surprised me with a weekend away with friends and family and blimey did she choose well. We arrived on the Friday night and were welcomed and shown around. First impressions were simply Wow. A lovely welcome from Sharon, the friendly owner. Cup of tea and cakes on arrival. Great breakfast next morning. We had a room on the top floor in the eaves - beware if you are tall as the beams are low and, despite warning notices, it's easy to bump your head in bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Shower is good but...

We spent a couple of nights here while visiting the nearby Freedom Brewery. Excellent location in the heard of Abbots Bromley, on the green and overlooking the old market place (with Butter Cross) and church. Well decorated, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The "help yourself" cakes in the dining room were a nice touch, as was the "emergency bucket" in the...

On our way up to Alton Towers we make brief visit to Oxford and Bibury and stay overnight at small but lovely Buttercross B&B. It turned out to be right lodging choice for us before heading to Alton Towers the next day. Buttercross is an inn with impressive characters of typical English bed & breakfast. From breakfast utensils, variety English...
