Detailed Reviews
Our Penong experience began with a delightful phone call with the owners of this gorgeous park before we left Adelaide. Upon arrival, the owner engaged with both my husband and I in interesting banter peppered with helpful suggestions for around Penong and for the rest of our long trip to the WA border. Our quiet, out of the way cabin was extremely spacious, clean and well appointed. Spotless curtains, classy paintings, modern interior, reverse cycle air Conditioning and warm beds. It was the quietest night in a foreign bed I have ever had, helped by dark curtains that blocked out both light and noise. No need to worry about noise though - it was extremely quiet. We were given thoughtful little extras in the bathroom and kitchen which made our stay just that more special. Lovely hot shower. We will be back and stay longer. The owners are made for this job - the perfect hosts. Excellent.

From the first contact over the phone to checkout everything about this place is fantastic. The staff are so friendly and very helpful. The amenities are spotless and very well maintained. We have stayed in 5 star hotels across Australia that could learn a lot about what clean is by visiting here. The grounds are very well maintained and so well set out.
Do not drive through Penong, spend a night or spend a week you will not regret it
Thank you for making our trip a wonderful one.

Immaculate tidy little park. Came for one night but stayed for two. Jenny, owner and manager is lovely. So helpful. Ablutions were cleaned daily by Jen and we're pristine and smelt fragrant. Great location. Just opposite the Windmill Museum which is well worth a visit. The general store needs to be visited for their amazing hamburger with the lot! Seriously big and delicious. A walk down the main street was interesting and has history.

This little Park is a gem. The new owners are very friendly and have plans to improve the facilities e.g. camp kitchen etc.. We only stayed overnight but were very pleased with our site. The Amenities block was very clean and adequate.

I stayed in a self contained cabin at rear of caravan park.
Top service when booking in, clean tidy cabin, good water pressure.
I had never stayed in Penong on over 50 rides cross the Nullarbor so decided I was going to, had looked ta pub accommodation once in 2014 and went onto Nundroo after seeing it, so reviews of Penong Caravan Park so decided to stay here and very glad I did, such a well set up clean caravan park!
I was going to eat in pub, but walked out half way through drink due to inattentive barman, not allowed to eat in dining room ,and it is a mess, hasnt improved in all these years.
So I bought food at the well stocked helpful general store and cooked food up.
Will stay here again

We broke down in Penong and had an extended stay of 12 nights at the caravan park. Our site was quite private, the amenities were always spotless, laundry facilities second to none and the hospitality of the owners Jenny and Mick was outstanding. A lovely couple who made us feel at home straight away. The cafe/general store has good coffee, a nice selection of reasonably priced groceries and the local mechanic went above and beyond. A sweet windmill museum and the local beaches, sand dunes and lakes are very picturesque, not to mention the fantastic birdwatching. We had a lovely stay under the circumstances and will never forget Penong :)

From our first phone call with Mick we were looked after and felt welcome. Stayed in two bedroom cottage / unit which was very clean and tidy, had all the essentials and the bed was very comfortable which made getting out of bed early a little difficult. Very quick stop for us so not much time to check around but will be back.

Absolutely amazed to see how good the caravan park is. Clean, tidy, up to date with very friendly operators. Highly recommend at least two or three days to get the feel of this location: Windmill museum, great sandhills, pink lakes. TV Reception and owners only too happy to make your stay memorable. Great little general store, pub... everything you need. Rob and Cathy

We are a party of three that stayed at Penong Caravan park last night and loved it! The ammenities are immaculate and the staff at reception are very kind and helpful, especially when it comes to recommending where to eat and where to get food, groceries ect. We also appreciate that the park went above and beyond to accommodate us as we are travelling with a friend who had a leaky tray where his bed is and the gentleman at the front desk found us a place out of the rain. We definitely recommend staying here if you’re ever passing through!

Just had a 2 night stay which was very pleasant. Park isn't huge and impersonal. Owners, Jenny and Mick are very friendly and helpful and are constantly striving to ensure their facilities and grounds are clean and tidy and are always looking to make further improvements. Sites are large, flat and level. Ablution blocks are spotless. Highly recommended.
