Stayed at the resort for 2 nights, in an Oceanfont renovated room, celebrating a B-Day. From our Resort entry greeting by Juan to our departure by Samatha, the staff was excellent.
The hydro mist spa was awesome. The relaxation massage was one of the best I have ever had, and I've had many.
Dining, dinner, and lunch meals were very good. Disappointed only for the lack of vegetarian variety for either meal. Hopefully, the new chef will add to the menu. Recommend Lobster with risotto, was delicious. Pacific Mist Bowl veggie, was also very good.
We will be back!

We stayed at Kingfisher to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary and were so happy to have made the choice to visit this wonderful resort! We chose one of the ocean-side suites with a balcony that directly faced the beach and ocean, and although the room was not air conditioned, the large screen door that led onto a spacious balcony allowed the ocean breezes to keep the room cool and comfortable. It was just lovely to be able to sit on the comfortable, private, clean balcony to enjoy the incredible views of the water. The suite itself was well equipped, spacious, and comfortable. The restaurant is an absolute must to visit, whether it be on the beautiful patio that overlooks the gardens and the water, or inside. Both our dinners and our brunch were fabulous - we were raving over the wonderful meals we enjoyed for days after our visit! If you want to eat inside, make sure to reserve well in advance as it sells out. The patio was actually offering both indoor and outdoor menus to choose from, and we actually preferred the beautiful ambiance of the patio during the warm summer weather, to the indoor restaurant. The garden area is delightful, with so many special places to sit and enjoy the water features and the very stylish gas firepit type planters that magically came on at dusk, creating a very romantic setting! The entire resort is spotlessly clean and well maintained. We didn't pre-book the spa this time, but if (when) we return, we will make sure to do that! It was sold out for the time we were guests in the resort, although the pools were available to use. We both agreed we would love to come back.

We stayed at the resort for 5 days towards the end of August and loved it. The place is quiet, peaceful, and relaxing and the staff take COVID very seriously.

The gardens of the resort are exquisite and on Wednesday and Saturday evenings they have live music in the gardens (an acoustic guitar when we were there) that adds to the ambience.

The food at both the restaurants was outstanding although I'm sure COVID restrictions on the amount of covers allowed has taken some of the intimacy away. The Bistro was very popular but was too small for the number of people who wanted to eat there. On one evening we couldn't get a table in the Bistro without two hour wait due to it being super busy on that one particular evening, and you can't reserve a table at the Bistro.

We didn't use the spa but it did look tempting and the staff busied themselves cleaning sun loungers, hand rails and tables after each guest left the spa.

Be sure to book a room in the new wing (Ocean Courtyard) if you want new room with an ocean view.

We would definitely go back again.

Do yourself a favor and experience the Kingfisher. The views are stunning, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the Hydropath is amazing. There is an outdoor pool and hot tub with a sauna and steam cave attached. The lighted garden is breathtaking. The restaurant and bistro have some of the best food I've ever eaten. If you are looking for some down time, this is definitely the place to be. From the Oceanside Suites we had the sound of the ocean, limitless views and eagles flying by our windows outside, and pure luxury inside. They have a super friendly shuttle that will pick you up and return you to the airport for a nominal fee, or there's plenty of parking if you can drive there.

We just spent 2 nights at the kingfisher. They have gone above and beyond with their Covid precautions. All staff were wearing masks, the tables in the pub and restaurant were well spaced. Careful handling of food and dishes to avoid cross contamination, I totally relaxed my nervous Nellie attitude!
The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious.

We went for our first stay for two nights and had a lovely time. The two things that stand out are the quality of the staff and the significant precautions taken to ensure Covid safety. Constant cleaning, lots of hand sanitizer and all staff wearing face shields. A shout out to Elizabeth at the front desk who bent over backwards to upgrade our room at the last minute. Any time we had a request of the front desk it was dealt with immediately. Another shout out to Kaylee who lead us through the Hydropath with great instructions and care. We would definitely do the Hydropath again. The resort is in a prime location situated ocean front and the courtyard gardens are very nice, especially with the fires you can sit around at night. Because we had the gourmet getaway package, we ate both evening meals at the restaurants - one at the Bistro and one at Ocean's 7. The chef is fantastic and we loved both meals. At the Bistro we had the steak and chips and mushroom flatbread which we would highly recommend. At Oceans 7 we had one of the best caesar salads ever as well as the Asian pork dish and a couple of sides including Mac & Cheese. Every bite delish! A special shout out to Colin for great service at Oceans 7. This is a wonderful get away for a little rest and relaxation.

For the first time coming here it wasn't as I was expecting. Not a smooth flow to everything. Upon check in we felt rushed, and the information about the resort , rooms, and services felt rushed. Very robotic too...like upon sitting on a plane when the stuartest runs trough safety.
Our room was nice, we had partial ocean view looking out at the lit up gardens.
The stroll thru the garden, and scenery of it all was beautiful. Upon using the pool, hot tub, etc. We had to wear our robes to the spa from the room. No choice provided. No lovers for people staying only for people coming in for the day for a treatment! I think that should really be changed! We have spent a lot of money at this resort for multiple things and no choice of a locker.?!
Its snowing and cold outside! So people who stay and spend more money get less services?! Really not good. The hydro spa and massage were great! I think next time I'd only come for day for day services. Aqua restaurant was ok. Ocean 7 Brunch was really good. We both ordered eggs Benny. One think that made us a little uncomfortable during Covid was no limits to pool and hot tub area. You are very close to people. You also have to walk on salt on ground around pool area. They were salting grounds while we were in the hot tub, sandals were told to leave by the door, so you have to walk barefoot on it. Grounds of resort are not cleared from snow that well.

My husband & my first venture out since March and we chose to come here again not sure what to expect. Check in was good they even knew when I was there last and welcomed me back. They had a mid-week package which included a spa service and a credit at the restaurant which we availed of otherwise it would be too expensive. It was quite warm in the room even with the 2 fans going and with the sliding door facing the ocean kept open. We were there for 3 nights and it was only on the last night that it cooled down and got more comfortable. With the hot summer I would choose to stay at their newly renovated rooms that had AC next time. I had a massage by Renee which was superb! Food at the restaurant and service were good as we remembered.

We had an ocean view room that was very clean and well-equipped with a small kitchenette area, fridge, coffee maker, kettle, plates and cutlery etc. The garden area with the fire pits was the highlight for sure - you can sit out there and enjoy the garden during morning, afternoon or evening. The service and food in the restaurant & bistro was nothing short of superb given the restrictions place upon the staff due to Covid-19. Our patio was facing NE so we caught a bit of the morning sun. Overall, I would say that our stay was very relaxing and we would go back for sure.

Depending on what you are expecting, you might be surprised when you pull into the driveway and see two buildings: one that looks new and polished and another that looks like an old motel. That being said, the grounds and facilities at the Kingfisher are top notch for a small independent resort of this type.

The resort has a number of different room types located in a renovated wing or an older wing. We stayed in a NEW Ocean Courtyard room located on the ground floor with 2 queen beds. The beach front rooms have stunning views but have not renovated.

Upon entering the room, we were wowed; the photos make it look nice but it is even nicer in person. Whoever designed the room balanced functionality with style. The bathroom is a little small but the shower was really good. We also found the bed pretty comfortable and appreciated having a Nespresso machine for coffee. The thing we enjoyed the most though were the two chairs on our patio and having easy access to the Serenity Garden which is landscaped so well and really suits the setting; a smart amenity that sets the Kingfisher Oceanside Resort and Spa apart from other hotels in the region. The Serenity Garden is a nice place to sit and relax anytime of the day but we loved sitting by one of the many firepits during the evening after using the pool. As much as we liked our own patio, we did not find our patio very private and would book a room on the upper floor next time because they offer more privacy.

As a result of their COVID protocols, the gym was not open during out stay but the pool and spa area was and it was very easy to book a 45 minute time slot. They also have specific hours for children which means you can enjoy the pool and spa area without screaming children if you are there on an adults getaway. The pool was refreshing and well maintained, as were the hot tub and the steam room.

The service was also impeccable; everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful and they went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The staff at the pool and spa were also very friendly and professional and did a great job keeping everything clean.

It was less expensive when we went - I think we paid just over $200. I disagree that it is not worth the expense. We found it very peaceful to be on the site. The rooms are older but the actual grounds are beautiful. Your best bet is to just check the hotel website and book directly with them.

If you look under room options on the hotel website you can see which rooms have the kitchenette. I think only the suites have them. All rooms have their own entrance.
