I just love Italy and everything that comes along with it-people, sea, shopping, food, crazy traffic, ...I have been this August in Salerno, and stayed in hotel Olimpico. Just great hotel, have everything - nice, clean rooms, great food (really great food, everything from large buffet breakfast to dinner with so many different fruits), great swimming pool, own parking space,...

In the middle of nowhere rubbish beech. Only 1 local restaraunt taxi about 40 euro to Salerno. The buses finish at 8 pm. We got off the bus one day and a lady asked us why did you choose to stay here. We were told to be quiet at 11 oclock at night we were only talking to another middle...

That review is very old! Is dated June 2006. In that time all the Campania region and Naples and all the beaches had problems with the garbage due to the strike of the workers. So that guests stay at the hotel in that period (3 years ago). That problem was fixed in the 2007, so now everything is clean in...

We stayed here in late May/early June 09, just as "high season" was starting. The hotel was excellent - everywhere was immaculately clean and our rooms had obviously been recently done up with a good standard of decoration and furnishings (we had two "superior" rooms on the first floor). The "family" room we had (super-king-size bed and bunk beds) was...

The Breakfast was excellent and the gardens were well carded for and cool in the hot sun. The car part had shades for the cars. The area is run down outside...

Four fairly seasoned travellers visited for a week in May needing a reasonable base to explore the Amalfi coast. Previous reviews coupled with the room rate assured us that we would not be disappointed. We could fault the hotel in no way at all. The rooms and general aura of the place is of excellent quality and careful management. Each...

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Olimpico in Salerno, Italy for 5 nights. I was a little worried about this hotel from previous reviews, but we had a great experience. They picked us up from the train station and preceded to give us all of the information about the area (an entire packet of brochures) along with bus...

This is a really nice hotel in a horrid inconvenient and dirty location. Overall the staff couldn't be any more helpful, the rooms are excellent the pool area is pretty, and very nice indeed. But... the location is dire. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, but there are only 3 buses a day each way and virtually...

My husband and I stayed here September 28th and 29th, 2008. It was inexpensive as far as Italian hotels go. The standard of the hotel and the food.was excellent. The location is a little bit of a concern. The area around the hotel is generally dirty and quite isolated as far as things to do. We had a car and...

While we had some misgivings about the hotel's location based on reading others' reviews, we found that it fully adequate for the daily excursions we undertook. We were there after season and the businesses along the shore appeared a little run down, except for the gelatria which was fantastic. The hotel was easy to find (the directions worked), was in...
