Nice place clean/ tidy Staff not so friendly as other places I've been too. Good rooms and kitchen to make your own food. Really good location near to the beach and also near to the local shops. We were in a 4 bed dorm room. They had a pizza and Dvd night

The Kiwi dude on staff gave me REALLY bad directions for where to leave my bag when I went on the Fraser Island tour, and I ended up leaving it outside reception hoping they would find when they opened in half an hour before someone else did. That was super NOT cool. Everything else was really nice. It's really close...

This is an awful hostel, although it's a short distance from a few shops and sunshine beach, the hostel is dirty, there's rats in the kitchen and cockroaches in the bedroom, the staff are unhelpful backpackers and all evening it smelt of cannabis, if your looking for a joint to smoke and happy to sleep in a dirty sheets come...

I stayed here five nights before and after my Fraser island tour. It is a really nice hostel with cute corners to relax. There is a shuttle going eight times a day to town which is super good, cause it would be quite a walk. Every two rooms shared a kitchen and a bathroom. The kitchen was cute and well...

positives - apartment style set out so only sharing kitchen with 8 others which is good. Kitchen had an oven which is useful. Bed comfy enough. Negatives- 1 toilet and 1 shower in one room to share with 9 people not practical. No microwave. A rat ran through our kitchen! Cockroach found in room. Staff were rude barged into rooms...

Stayed 4 nights, dorm room, amazing relaxed hostel, cleaned daily. Friendly helpful staff. Free shuttle. Highly recommend dolphins, will stay again. 2 mins from beach, shops and restaurants. Kitchen with fridge n utensils, cleaned daily, lovely to share with 7/8 people instead of the usual 100 + backpackers like other hostels. As for negative reviews, guess some people are never...

We had a good stay (only 1 night) at the hostel. It is very close to the sunshine beach and shops. A shuttle bus runs several times a day and brings you to the beaches or Noosa junction. We also enjoyed the outside area of the hostel with comfy seating areas and several hammocks. Would recommend this hostel to everyone!

When we arrived in noosa we tried to phone them and not one of the three phone numbers on their website worked. Upon arrival the staff were quite stand offish which wasn't great. Our room was clean and cool which was good however there were no lockers or safes for valuables furthermore the doors to the rooms 'don't lock' we...

Chill out and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of Dolphins Beach House at beautiful Sunshine Beach, Noosa. This secluded, hippy-style haven is the closest hostel to the beach in Noosa, situated next to Noosa National Park with a boutique shopping village just one minute away. The ambience of this family-run hostel is quirky and unique - definitely not part of a franchise backpackers business. The owners are experienced travelers themselves, and Dolphins Beach House reflects their love of travel, with many exotic artifacts from India to Burma and Thailand. Once you slip past the gardens, the trees, the funky pink walls and the Guatemalan architecture, you'll realize that you have found a restful retreat. It's no wonder that Dolphins Beach House is Lonely Planet's best pick for Noosa for 2010 / 2011. Relax, unwind, enjoy. Our friendly staff are always happy to recommend where to go and what to see next. Office hours are 8:00 am to 7:00 pm ... more   less
