Once we entered our room and opened the kitchen cupboard – it smelled of insecticide and we could see all insect droppings. It has also cheap insecticide in kitchen cupboard which means there is a army of insects. Moving on we went on our bed, even though linen looked clean they were smelly, which means they haven’t been washed and...

Stayed in their "Family" unit. It has the bare essentials but is very old and tired - think 70s. Bed was as hard as a rock and it smelt of insecticide. Everything is worn out and or rusted. The owner guys is really nice and very overworked, felt sorry for him having to manage this place. Had dinner in the...

Set in beautiful surroundings, within easy walking distance of the famous Gloucester Tree, this motel needs renovation and more cleaning staff. The owner was overworked and sometimes unable to attend to the basic needs of the members of our group of seniors. One room had no hot water for two days. Our bedside light needed a new globe. The beds...

Rooms very run down, lino on the floor buckling nearly all the taps and toilets constantly leaking, water leaking through the tiles. No Doonahs available. Bath towels that where left on the floor to be replaced with clean ones, where put back on the towel rack dirty. One of the members of our group came to Basil (our nickname for...

Friendly staff, good value for money. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The BBQ was handy as we wished to cook our own meals. The bed was superior in comfort to many other motels or caravan park cabins.

This place was recommended by the Visitors Centre but was disappointed with the room,When I checked in the guy who was friendly enough gave me a free upgrade and I was very happy with that but when I got to my room I was very disappointed. It was in dire need of renovations. When i later returned to reception and...

We booked 2 nights in a queen executive suite, and arrived to a friendly welcome and a nice clean room. Air conditioning could do with up dating and shower head needs replacing. Rooms are quite roomy with high ceilings and a balcony view over the gardens. Accompanying restaurant Silver Birch served very nice (large) meals.

Apart from being out of the way this was a pleasant stay air conditioning needs updating. Great for a couple of nights away. The restaurant had good quality food that was well priced, good base for sight seeing around the area.
