My husband and I have been at the Murray River Lodge over the long weekend. We booked the river view room with breakfast. The room was really nice, with a very comfortable bed, and had a balcony with table and view on the Murray River. Breakfast was great - complete of fresh delicious fruit. The location was perfect; the lodge is on the river surrounded by nature and lots of wildlife, so great to relax, yet just 15 minutes drive from Mandurah if you wish to dine out. John is a fantastic host, very kind and approachable and welcomed us with a cheese platter and wine. Definitely recommed to stay here if you are in the area! Thanks John, Sara and Bernd
Comfortable and Clean Room. Comfortable Lounge. Pleasant River Walk. Relaxing area at rear decked out in Balinese style. A less intrusive host would enable one to have more privacy. You do need a car.
John & Jill are great hosts. Our accommodation was very very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was excellent and a river trip by John was an unexpected treat. Sadly the dolphins didn’t make an appearance for us! A cheese platter was waiting for us on our first night, together with a glass of wine and beer. If we returned to the area again we would certainly stay again and would recommend River Lodge to any friends that were travelling in the area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Murray River Lodge. Our hosts, John and Jill were so very friendly and willing to help. Our accommodation( bedroom with en-suite) was perfect. Very clean, a comfortable bed and a spacious en-suite bathroom. Also an additional room to put your cases etc. in. On arrival we were given a platter of cheese, biscuits and fruit plus a glass of very good wine. Continental breakfast was a variety of cereals. fruit juice, fresh fruits, toast, coffee and tea. You could have your breakfast in the dining room or outside on the deck. I am gluten and dairy intolerant. John and Jill made sure I had the right breakfast cereal, bread and milk The premises were opposite the river estuary. John took us for a boat ride up the estuary in the late afternoon. It was wonderful. We would certainly stay there again should we be visiting Mandurah again.…
