After hours check in processes were good, with clear instructions sent by text, then further instructions upon arrival.

What a great view! This is a wonderful location for easy access to restaurants, playground and cafes. A short walk to the waterfront with the visitors centre, cruise jetty etc. We enjoyed our stay. The room we stayed in could do with new carpet and some painting, however the whiteware was great and the kitchen has everything a family needs. It was very clean and we were very comfortable. Lovely balcony area with a wee BBQ, full table and chairs and a couple of comfy chairs. We enjoyed sitting out there and listening the live music from the bar below (seemed to stop at 10pm ish). BYO salt and pepper. The drains in the bathroom are slow, so keep an eye on the kids to make sure there is no overflowing of water when their brushing their teeth or washing hands etc. Heat pump / AC was central and perfect for the size of the apartment. There was an extra blanket for each bed, but no extra linen. Laundry facilities seemed good, although for 2 nights only, we did not use them.
We were disappointed when we arrived as the kids beds were made up as a queen bed, despite booking notes and a subsequent email to the admin to request the room made up as 2 singles. Arrivng at 8.30pm Friday night and not being able to put the kids down was not a good way to start the weekend. The after hours receptionist was most apologetic, however could not even arrange for extra linen to be dropped off for my husband and I to make up the beds, as management said this was not possible - apparently. We never heard anything further which was upsetting as it was a fairly big inconvenience for us.
It was recrified the following morning, with the beds being split and made when we were out, but it meant a very unsettled night for us with kids sharing a bed, and eventually the tween on the couch, which was not comfortable. If you require a particular room configuration, do not rely on their systems, I suggest you call and check before reception closes at 5pm.

Without the hiccup of the beds, this would have been a fully positive review.👍 We will return, however with a phone call on the day to ensure all is well.

This has got to be the best holiday accommodation in WA! Yes, literally! Its facilities are superb, quality, clean; spacious apartments with everything you could possibly need in a short or long stay. They have a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and full size fridge, microwave, tv with Foxtel, heating/cooling, spacious bathroom (all super clean!), comfy couch and roomy balcony with a BBQ. Best of all is the view - from the living room and main bedroom you can see out across the marina, watch the sun rise and even see a dolphin or two swim by. And, on the jetty just below the apartments are a range of restaurants catering for any tastebud - Aussie, Thai, Indian, with lots of low to high end eating options. Don't worry - you can't hear any noise from the marina or restuarants when you are in your apartment!
The undercover secure parking is also a plus...that's if you really need to use your car as everything you need is within a short 3 to 5 minute walk. Whether it's to go downstairs for an afternoon cocktail or walk across to the other marina where the tourist bureau is, or catch a movie at the cinema. There is so much to do in this little pocket of Mandurah, and I always tell others it feels like something akin to the Goldcoast or Cairns, because of the way all the facilities have been laid out for visitors. There is just so much packed into this area! This is my second stay at Dolphin Quay and it won't be my last! Cannot recommend it more highly!!!!

Words you will never hear spoken at this resort include "welcome back, good to see you again": "let us know if there is anything we can do for you": "We hope that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again". Words you will hear include "here are your keys, you are in room xx on the xx floor".
This was our fifth stay at Dolphin Quay, again for four weeks, but it might as well have been our first visit for one night given the welcome at reception.
Of course this total lack of interest will not bother many guests and the resort has a great deal going for it. The location is superb and if you have a Marina view then you will never tire of your time on the large balcony overlooking the water.
You will be minutes walk from the arts theatre, the boat cruise office, the visitor centre, the cinema, boat hire , and the splendid canals and foreshore.
The apartments are clean and well equipped with dishwashers, washing machines and microwaves. The sofa in the rather cramped living area was uncomfortable and oddly enough we preferred the chairs out on the balcony. There is no room safe. The wifi was generally good until the password was changed, which we only found out by asking reception who had not bothered to tell anyone.
The lift only has to supply four floors, including the basement garage, but is terribly slow, the stairs are usually a better bet.
We like the resort for the location , it is just a shame that guest relations are such a low priority. Then again, nothing has changed over the years we have been coming to Dolphin Quay so the management culture is clearly satisfied that there is no need to change.
In summary if your priority is location Dolphin Quay apartments, especially with a Marina view, are an excellent place to stay.

Hi Ralph I am so disappointed to hear you found my front office team unfriendly/helpful. This is not the usual standard I would expect or our guests are used to. We have had a change in staff lately, and I can only think that your interactions were with one of our newest staff members so I sincerely apologise and will make sure all my staff are better trained next time you return. Otherwise I am glad you enjoyed your stay, and of course we appreciate your repeat business to us. We hope we can welcome you back again next time!

If you are expecting luxury, seriously think again. We arrived on Saturday and it's hot. There is a single air conditioner in the open lounge/kitchenette area and none in the two bedrooms. 1 bedroom faces the walkway and the window is lined with venetian blinds, screening no light but providing basic privacy. The rooms have seen much better days and could do with a paint (at least under the air conditioner as previous leaks have destroyed the plasterboard and the patch job is very amateur) as well as high use areas such as corners of walls in bathrooms. There is mould in the outlet of the handbasin in at least one of the bathrooms and scratches and marks on walls. The room is furnished with cheap veneered and rattan furniture broken and chipped and the hot water service for showers runs hot and cold and hot and cold. When maintenance eventually looked at this we were advised we had the mixer tap in the wrong position and that it either needed to be at one extreme or the other (meaning we would either have very hot or very cold showers - to my basic understanding of plumbing this is NOT how mixer taps should work). The air conditioner upstairs drips onto our balcony, best be careful where you stand out there. There is undercover parking available, but best bring your moped, as our vehicle, which had to be parked nose in because of overhead parking restrictions, hung half out the back of the allocated ncar park, rendering it useless for us, or for anybody wanting to pass our parked car. All in all whoever rated this a 4 star or 4.5 star has a very different understanding of 4 or 4.5 stars than I do. Ask questions of managemnt before you consider booking here.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am so sorry to read of the issues during your stay. A lot of the issues you have mentioned such as the airconditioning, the tight car park spaces etc are something we cannot control and were put in place at the time of building. All hot water systems and taps are different, and you usually need to adjust the mixer tap to reach the desired temperature. However we will continue to monitor this unit for any more issues and call a plumber if needed. The airconditioner only leaked within the past week as the weather has got warmer, so there was unfortunately no time to patch and paint before your stay. We do already have it scheduled to be done in the next few weeks. I will most certainly speak to the housekeeping manager regarding the mould, and also contact the owners with regards to the furnishings and painting etc. Please note that each of our units are individually owned, so the majority of items within the apartments are upto the owners to replace. We do hope you will try us again, and if you do please reach out to me directly so we can make sure you have a more enjoyable stay next time. Kind regards Emma Biggs General Manager

The Palladio view on the 2nd floor seemed a poor second to the beach view BUT it was excellent for watching the fireworks as we discovered on New Years Eve. Don't bother going to Stingray Point (near the fig tree) when you have a view like this!
Two bedrooms very nice, the smaller room had two narrow single beds, a semi on-suite, separate toilet, shared side table, lamp, big wardrobe with mirror doors, fan on a pedestal. The bathrooms were well appointed with towels, toiletries and spare loo roll.
The main bedroom had balcony access, block out curtains, QS bed and ensuite.
The lounge faced this bedroom, as did the aircon which provided cool air throughout. The lounge was a 2-3 seater couch, with a separate chair, also a meals table with 4 plastic chairs and a side table. On the balcony there was an outdoor setting for 4 people and a small BBQ.
The kitchen was appointed with the usual items - kettle, toaster, microwave, large fridge, pots and pans, crockery & cutlery. Also a small laundry sink, washing machine and dryer available too. All soap, washing powder and liquid provided.
enough to walk to the cultural centre through the park in front of the building and into the main "tourist" area of cafes, icecream, Cicerellos etc and the tourist bureau and on to the foreshore (less than 2 kms from the apartment to the end of the path near the main bridge).
Secure parking for ONE car under the building.
Great for 5 nights!

Apartment was clean and comfortable. Second bathroom was a plus. We only stayed 1 night but the washing machine and kitchen facilities would be great for people staying long term. Wasn’t noisy at all, even above the restaurant and the staff were great.

We stayed here for four nights over New Year’s Eve. The apartment was clean and well appointed. OK, there were a few stains on the carpet, but the beds were comfortable and we had good quality appliances and we were in a terrific location. Our toaster tripped the power and was replaced within 30 mins. And although the apartments are not serviced daily, the staff gladly gave us new towels and tea/coffee etc whenever we asked for them. As a matter of fact, all of the staff were really helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for 5 nights. The view from the rooms balcony is spectacular day and night. We stayed in room 52. Any room from 51 onwards has a great view of the harbour and beach. It is located directly next to the harbour and a great childrens man made swimming beach. The restaurants close by are all good and have food and drink specials during the week. We dined every night at The oceanic bar and grill that had a great happy hour every afternoon from 5pm and daily food specials. It is only an 8 minute walk to the mandurah foreshore that also has a huge variety of food and drink options. The highlight of everyday was waking up every morning to watch the dolphins in the harbour below! There is an abundance of wildlife and human activity to watch everyday, The main mandurah town swimming beach is also only a 8-10 minute walk away as well. The units themselves are comfrotable but DON'T have an oven and only the bare basics of food utensils. The baby weber Q on the balcony was not my favourite thing to use. It didnt cook steaks very well at all. We found the pillows and beds very hard for our liking but this is a personal preference for us. The two tv's both had netflix on them ready to go which is defintley a bonus! The wifi signal was also very good with zero dropouts. The only real major issue we had was that the hot water for the shower was hot and then cold for 30 seconds at a time. We were told this was normal when we advised the reception staff. This was the only real thing that let the unit down. We would defintley stay here again and would reccomend them especially at the off peak price!

Stayed 2 nights in a 1 bedroom apartment and was very happy with the facilities. Exceptionally clean, fully functional kitchen, laundry. Lovely balcony, comfy bed and lovely bathroom. The kitchen had all the crockery, cutlery cooking utensils you would need for a short stay, including a dishwasher. The balcony has a Barbecue on it too. Under the hotel and also over a small footbridge are excellent restaurants/bars. Loved it. Will recommend to friends.

Cost $741 for a 2 night stay on a weekend in late November. It was 39 degrees both days that weekend. On checking in, we were told the air conditioning was broken and they hoped to move us the following day. I asked about cancellation and was advised no refund but they would offer a partial refund when the figured out whether I could be moved for the 2nd night. The windows were all locked also, which we didnt discover until we tried to let the tiny amount of breeze into the room and reception was closed. We followed up when reception opened the next morning (the room was already like an oven) and the key cpuld not be located. They did end up moving us on day 2 (after I went and chased them up to see if the other room was available) They finally came back, right when we should have been getting ready for the event we were in Mandurah for. I, along with my 12 year old had to move all of our luggage from one side of the building to the other (in 39 degree heat). On checkout, there was a line of people and we were needing to get to our 2nd event, so I left the keys and we left. I have emailed to ask after my refund for all of the inconveniences and have been ignored. This is a yearly event for us and I will NEVER stay in these apartments again.

The notifications in the room say "non smoking building" however, there are only 2 floors and a lift so you could nip downstairs and either go out front ( there's a street where there are some extra car parking spots ) or you could go to the back that is the boardwalk ( there were people smoking down there when we stayed ) this rule is reinforced by the fact that there are no ashtrays outside on the balcony or in the apartment ( hubby smokes and went downstairs to the boardwalk side for his smoke ) 😊

Hi, I am not sure I understand your question and would need your surname to check your previous booking history. We have 3 brands, Quality Suites, Serenity on the Terrace and The Private Collection. As you mention you booked The Private Collection, you wouldn't be staying on the Quay at Quality Suites? The Private Collection Apartments are privately owned, we manage 4 apartments in Seashells under this brand as well as apartments in other areas. It mat be best to check our website crestaccommodation If you can provide me your surname I will be able to check exactly what you booked, and also where you stayed, so I can ensure I can provide you with the information you are looking for. Kind regards David
