Martin Fields Beach Retreat is the perfect getaway to the many nearby local attractions. There are local wineries such as the nearby Capel Vale winery, or a multitude of wineries in the nearby Margaret River region. After a day out, you can take a quiet short stroll to the secluded Wonnerup Beach – where the Vasse River meets the Indian Ocean. Our host Patricia was very hospitable. The room had great air con(important due to the 40 degree heatwave we experienced!). Location a bit out of town but peaceful in keeping with the advertised retreat. Patricia made fresh bread every day and my husband said her poached eggs were the best he'd ever had. Room was clean, bed was comfy. Lovely peaceful spot to come home to after exploring each day. Highly recommended. Thanks Patricia!

What was supposed to be a ‘Beach Retreat’ turned out to be a dirty and unclean bedroom inside a woman’s house. During our 3 day stay, for which we paid $200.00 per night, the room wasn’t serviced or cleaned once. We also never received fresh towels, bed linen or Coffee, Tea, Milk and Sugar which was supposed to be provided on a daily basis, however, these extremely basic aspects weren’t provided either, with the exception of the first night when we just received a few sticks of coffee, a few tea bags, 5 small UHT Milk Pods and a few sachets of sugar. Daily Toiletries weren’t provided either, so we had to go to the local Woolworths Supermarket to purchase Milk, Shampoo, Conditioner and a few other things which essentially should’ve been provided by the property. If all this wasn’t bad enough, the small bar fridge in the room was completely broken and didn’t work. We very politely told Patricia that the fridge didn’t work and she said she would look into the matter, but nothing was ever done about it. As a result of this, the milk and ice creams we purchased all went off and melted. In addition to all of this, Patricia was extremely rude and abrasive towards my partner and I on the first night we arrived because we were running late due to our flight being extremely delayed. I have to say that my partner and I have stayed at many different hotels and resorts over the years, however, we have never met anybody like Patricia, who was extremely unprofessional, rude and unpleasant. Only stayed 2 nights but wish it was more. Pattricia was so helpful and friendly. Stayed in the Garden View Suite. Lovely big room, really comfortable bed and balcony with view of the garden and estuary. Breakfast was excellent. Everything cooked perfectly. Only had a continental breakfast the second morning which really concerned Pattricia who wanted us to have a big cooked breakfast. Martin Fields is only 7 kms from Busselton so the peace and quiet was really appreciated. We will definitely be back for longer next time so that we can go for some lovely walks in the surrounding area. Thoroughly recommend this lovely B&B.

Me and my partner stayed at Martin fields with our friends for 3 nights. We were welcomed straight away and you were made to feel at home! Outstanding hospitality! Fantastic breakfast with perfect eggs every day and wonderful rooms with bathrooms. Couldn’t recommend Martin Fields enough. Our room had a wonderful view looking out on to the lakes we also had a balcony so the breeze was to die for, it was great to be able to sit outside and enjoy. Beds were extremely comfortable both my partner and I and our friends slept very well, crisp clean sheets and lovely towels.

Lovely quiet location close to beach walks. Room was comfortable and cozy with clean bathroom. Breakfast freshly prepared, cooked and help yourself buffet toast and cereals. Rooms have reverse cycle air conditioning.
