Good service, rooms were made up each day (unexpected).
Room is well maintained, lighting in the main room (suite) was dull, needs replacement globes.
Amenities are execellent and also well maintained as is the garden. Pool and spar water is clean with well balanced chemicals.
Location is good with easy access to beach and the Broadwater shoppng centre next door with groceries, coffee, news agent and the best ever toasted sandwiches at Brewalicious.

I liked the two pools catering for indoor and outdoor swimmers. The hot tub was great. Other facilities included the gym, tennis & squash courts and a kids club, but the highlight was the easy access to the beach.

Our room was very large, spacious and clean. Good air-conditioning. The room was very well lit, offered loads of storage space, nice big flat screen tv with Sky channels. The room was well equipped with a small safe, iron/ironing board, toaster, kettle, microwave and a small fridge with a dodgy thermostat. The bed was super comfortable, with nice pillows and linens, thick block out curtains, perfect for a good nights sleep.

The bathroom was large and clean, with loads of storage, hairdryer, spa bath.

The parking is very odd, you were allocated a parking bay and ours was located well away from our unit, which is not much fun when you are packing to leave and it is pouring with rain and an inconvenience when you need to get something out of your car, however on the positive side, the car park is secured at night.

Unsure why the check in is so late at 3pm, considering that the rooms are not being serviced due to Covid (even though other hotels we stayed at during this trip were servicing their rooms?)

The property is located away from the town centre and located on the highway, however our room had double glazed windows so noise wasn’t an issue. The hotel facilities were good but the service let the property down.

Thank you limeclaw for sharing your wonderful review with us. It was great to hear that you enjoyed the resort and all of it's facilities. Adjusting check in time to 3pm is to assist with the additional Covid cleaning that needs to take place between guests. We also made the decision not to service rooms that are occupied to minimise our housekeeping staff having contact with guests. As you can see in South Australia at the moment Covid can appear and spread quite quickly and we are trying to protect guests and staff as best we can in these uncertain times. We hope you choose to stay with us again next time you are in the South West. Kind regards Sandy Crothers

We were only there for one night which was disappointing as it is such a great place to stay. We will definitely stay longer next time. We had a studio room and it obviously had been updated as the bathroom was lovely and the little kitchenette all we needed and the king bed was comfortable and we slept beautifully. The shower in the bathroom was large with a nice big shower head (we find this a rarity in hotel rooms). We sat by the pool for a while and it is a lovely area. The beach at the back of the resort is beautiful. We ate at Tonic on the Bay which is a five minute walk behind the resort with beach views from the outside dining area and there is ample inside dining as well. Sebel guests receive 10% discount on their meals. All in all great accommodation and value for money.

As a family of 6 we stayed for 3 nights in a 3 bedroom Bungalow. We were aware the rooms were the original design however we did not realise how unclean and filthy the rooms were going to be. After explaining to reception how dirty the headboard( in the master bedroom) the exhaust fan (downstairs) and air conditioner in the living room were it took 2 attempts to get these cleaned. It’s amazing that a hotel with COVID standards can think rooms like this are acceptable. I am appalled as an asthmatic that these rooms aren’t deep cleaned at least once a month for the price you pay. Not only were items unclean, door handles were falling off, the exhaust fan in the master bathroom was noisey, chairs easily broken, utensils worn, stains on the doona and blinds in the upstairs loft broken. My son who is 8 also had a plastic chair break on him outside and bruise his leg. Although the staff were apologetic, at no time was a discount at any time offered. For the price paid for the room in peak time the customer service could of been a lot better than what is was.
We have stayed at many family accomodations in Busselton before and this was the first and sadly the LAST time we will visit the Sebel in Busselton.

Hi Vacationer551092, thank you for taking the time to share your review with us. I hear your frustrations and apologise that we did not meet the standards that everyone would expect when staying with us at The Sebel Busselton. It seems that on this occasion we have fallen short with our cleaning and maintenance standards, I do sincerely apologise for that. We have taken on board your concerns and we are looking at ways that we can prevent this from happening for future guests. In relation to the quality of the room we do have apartments that have been refurbished more recently than the Bungalows. If you do reconsider and choose to stay with us again in the future this accommodation type may be a better option for you. Once again thank you for sharing your review and we wish you a safe and happy 2021. Kind regards Sandy Crothers General Manager

We have just returned from a two night stay at the Sebel Busselton in a 3 bedroom apartment sleeping myself and my partner, mother and two children under two years old. The apartment was located up a flight of stairs (each apartment has its own stairs which is great for privacy). The apartment was large, modern and spacious and fitted with all the amenities needed for a home away from home experience perfect for families. The resort was beautifully maintained with excellent facilities, unfortunately our stay wasn’t long enough to take full advantage but we thoroughly enjoyed the indoor pool during a cold, wet afternoon and the kids play room was perfect for our two year old. The resort location was perfect to access the Margaret River wine region and also enjoy both Busselton and Dunsborough. My only negative if you can call it that was upon check in we were not notified of the need to use our room card to have access to the air conditioner for heating and there was no information in the room for the need for this either so we shivered through our first night, we contacted the desk the next morning and the customer service was fantastic we had someone come to the room immediately to check in with us and assist us with accessing the system. A little welcome pack in the room or at check in may be useful in future with this information but we couldn’t fault the service we received and it didn’t dampen our stay we will definitely return to the Sebel for future trips to Busselton.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Sebel Busselton. It was a 3 night stay,
and we stayed in a King bed studio room on the ground floor with an alfresco area.
It was a large room, with a separate kitchenette, which had a fridge and microwave, and toaster with plates for two, cups and cutlery. It was also stocked with tea, coffee, sugar and salt and pepper and different sugar substitutes. There was plenty of room to have breakfast and meals with the table and chairs provided. The room also has free WiFi.
The bathroom was huge and had a spa bath. The toiletries supplied in the bottles attached to the wall, were pump action, and had a beautiful smell and lovely feel. Excellent if you forget soap or body lotion.
The shower is a rain shower head, and was lovely and hot.
The curtains were blockout with sheer curtains in front.
This place is fully secured with needing a card to open the gates, so no one else could come in except for people who were staying at the resort.
It was too cold for the pool area, but it looked absolutely beautiful and clean and inviting, and would be a dream in the warmer months.
We didn't look into the children's area, so cannot comment on them.
There is private direct access to the beach, which we did walk to and it has a card accessed gate, so again total safety for people staying in the resort.
The staff were welcoming and helpful, and we will definitely go back there in the warmer months to enjoy the outside areas.
Thank you for a wonderful stay, we thoroughly enjoyed it!

My daughter and I spent a week at this wonderful resort, relaxing by the pool.(which is fantastic) big pool with lots of pool beds. I only used the outdoor pool, but there is an indoor pool as well, mostly used by younger children. We were in a Studio, which was the only set back but great anyway. The studio was spacious, but no cooking facilities only a microwave so we needed to eat out mainly for lunch and then cheese and wine in the evening, out on our patio. Rooms were spacious neat and clean. Bathroom spacious, with a shower and spa bath. It was just a short walk to the beach out the back of the resort and short walk to Broadwater shopping village which has a grocery store, chemist, fish and chips and 2 bakeries. On Friday17th Jan the manager organised a bacon and egg breakfast with money going to the bush fire appeal, which was very well supported. Public transport is rare, but we worked it out, You will need a car to get around. We coped with bus, taxi and Uber though. Lovely resort will return.

Thank you Shondal for the lovely review. As discussed at the BBQ breakfast I think you would be more familiar with the public transport in Busselton than most of the locals, well done to you for working it out :) As you mentioned it is beneficial to have a vehicle while you are staying at the resort to be able to travel further afield and explore more of the region properly. We have just finished having a two weeks holiday, staying at The Sebel, Busselton, with family, in a two bedroom two bathroom unit. The Unit is spacious which also have a large fully equip kitchen and living area which has a couch that converts to another bed. The facilities has lovely gardens, Tennis courts, indoor heated pool, large outside pool, which was being renovated when we were there, getting ready for the summer months and will be beautiful, kids play area, squash courts and a outside playground. If you are planning on a holiday in Busselton we recommend The Sebel, you won't be disappointed. The only negative the WIFI could have been a little bit more reliable.

Initially thought oh premium place, then found some of the cupboards in the room were falling apart, the shower hot water was hard to manage(not good with little kids) also the air conditioner cycled on and off when it was set to warm the room. Staff at the place dont do a turndown everyday, so we had to try to keep things neat and hang towels etc.
Its an old place to stay that has been well kept, i used to come here with my parents about 30 years ago and its still the same, except all the trees are bigger and they have added some townhouses to the main entrance.

The hotel manager didn’t seem to understand that if you contact guests with an Australian tel number to presumably discuss needs but you don’t contact others by telephone cos they are not contactable/ we can’t ring international numbers (as per receptionist or by email (we booked direct so hotel had all our details, this is discrimination. It becomes unfair when the receptionist tells you we didn’t have your contact details (untrue) and so we have allocated you the last room. If she had phoned we would have had told her we had medical issues and carrying 7 weeks luggage up the stairs would be a challenge. Even better a maintenance guy watched us pensioners struggle as I carried all the luggage up the stairs No surprise what I write next. Room faces the busy noisy highway. From the balcony can see a fire hydrant. The sink plugs were missing, hit and miss if you get cold water. Had an initial problem and waited nearly 30 minutes for maintenance when in fact receptionist could have resolved it in seconds. Housekeeping prioritised making the bed rather than emptying the bins or cleaning the dishes. Only gave it such a good rating cos the rest of the complex looks nice. Footnote hotel manager said on the 2nd evening we could either leave if we were unhappy or she would look in the morning to see if she had a downstairs room. Sadly it was home time for her and didn’t want to spend 5 minutes looking there and then.

Dear AndyP1998 Firstly, thanks for sending through your feedback. I have personally spoken with the General Manager at the property today and as you can imagine, she was very disappointed to see the comments. We are certainly not used to displeased guests but we take this as a key learning for the entire team. Just to clarify, we do in fact call all guests prior to arrival and it is true that we rarely get a response from international numbers for obvious reasons. I agree with you though, that despite that, we should be trying all numbers anyway and the hotel will make sure this is done on every occasion. Looking at your booking, there were no notes or special requests regarding your requirements and our website, and all affiliated sites, clearly state the existence of ground and first floor apartments. It is also clearly stated that there is no lift access to the first floor rooms. Whilst it may be an inconvenience on some occasions, our responsibility is to ensure it is well communicated, I would recommend for any future stays in hotels, Accor or otherwise, you clearly state at time of booking that you require a ground floor room or lift access as, depending on the size, style and location of properties, this may not be guaranteed. Some of the most impressive and unique hotels in the world are outside of the CBD's so often require you to climb a flight of stairs. We allocate rooms the day before at all of our properties and you were not given the last room but rather you were the last guest to arrive. This had no bearing on the room type given to you. Again, allocations take into consideration guest requirements that we are informed of and had we known you needed a ground floor, i can assure you, it would have been provided to you. Unfortunately, this is an extremely popular resort so is quite often full and we have no ability to change your room after a certain time. The issues in the room, have been addressed and i appreciate you letting me know of them and unfortunately the maintenance technician who drove by whilst you were struggling with your suitcases had not seen you. Our team are trained and tested in our Heartist philosophy and attending to a guests needs, comes before any other objective. We will however make sure the entire team are aware that they are to be proactively on the lookout for anyone needing assistance. The General Manager explained to me that she made every attempt to resolve your discontent by offering you a room change the following day and even offering to refund a non-cancellable stay in order for you to find something more suitable to your needs. By no means was this an attempt to redirect you but rather, we firmly believe that if one of our properties is not to your expectation, we will always try to assist you to find something that is. At the end of the day, as hospitality professionals, the experience provided by us or our competitors is of the utmost importance. Once again AndyP1998, we are very disappointed that we have underwhelmed you on this occasion. If there is anything I can do further please don't hesitate to contact me via email and I will make a point of calling you to discuss. My contact details below. Thank you once again and i wish you safe travels on the next stage of your journey. Best regards Phil Reid General Manager - Hotel Operations phil.reid@accorvacationclub.com.au

Sorry for not replying to you sooner. We don't have dining onsite at The Sebel Busselton but there are a few options within walking distance of the resort. With the region being so busy at the moment and there also being COVID restrictions I would suggest that you make a reservation rather than just turning up to dine. I hope this helps you.
