Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The observatory guesthouse is in an absolutely fantastic location. We were able to walk to and fro the Brewery for dinner as well as the waterfront and of course the famous Busselton jetty. The price was including continental breakfast and the place was sparkling clean. There were lots of extras making a special touch. Easy checkin and checkout. Very good communication with the management.

This guest house is in a great location, great onsite parking, the room we had was clean, the on suite definitely needs updating, but the whole place requires a upgrade, sadly apparently I thought we would be met on arrival, no one was there, after several phone calls we were informed we should of received email given us a code to open up a key safe, I initially booked this guesthouse as information said bed and breakfast, it is a help yourself continental breakfast, the first morning everything was frozen, some guest messed with the fridge, the manager was apologetic.

Nice b&b for an overnight stay - room a little small for any longer. Entry and exit all automated saw no one associated with place which worked ok but was a little odd. Small breakfast room with limited but adequate choice. Room, as I said, a little small but comfortable. Good parking onsite and walking distance to pier and town. Good for single night.

A short stroll to the beach and only a little longer to the main St, it's a fabulous location. Rooms are neat and tidy, huge mugs for evening cuppa. Breaky includes fruit, cereal, toast, English muffins, yoghurt juice, fancy coffee and tea. Excellent value. Four rooms are up a flight of stairs, I think there was a ground floor room at the back

We enjoyed a lovely one night's stay at this guesthouse. The location is ideal being near the jetty and at least a couple of restaurants that we were aware of. We were in Meelup, a room upstairs, and found it all very comfortable: bedding and the room itself. Breakfast was self serve continental breakfast and as we expected i.e. choice of bread or toasting muffins, condiments, tea, coffee and juice, as well as fruit, yoghurt and cereals and muesli bars. We'd recommend others stay here.

The location in Busselton is brilliant , our room was very clean , warm and quite spacious and the help yourself breakfast in the dining room was more than adequate and plentiful . The only problem was that our King bed was extremely uncomfortable , I notice other guests have referenced this months ago and nothing has changed . It was very hard , lumpy , sloped to the middle where there is a big hump and the pillow selection was either very very hard or very very soft . So with attention to the bed the place would get five stars .

My wife and I spent one Saturday night in December 2021 in the room at the back of the property. The accommodation unfortunately did not live up to the promised standard. The mattress needs urgent replacement and made for a very uncomfortable night of sleeping. The curtains did not properly block the light - as soon as daylight broke through, the room was showered in bright light. The cleanliness was questionable, with the towels having bleach marks. The so-called free breakfast was self-help and so basic, we just turned around and walked out. The only positive thing I can mention is the location - it is an amazing location within short walking distance from Busselton Foreshore and Jetty. If only a little bit of love and care can be combined with the location, this will be an amazing property - in its current state we won't be back.

This is an excellent place to stay in Busselton. Great location just back from the foreshore, good parking facility at the back of the guest house. Room was exceptionally clean and well Maintained. Well stocked with towels, amenities and fresh milk. The room gets cleaned every two days but we were asked each day if we needed the room cleaned or any clean towels. The continental breakfast was well laid out and a very good selection of fruit, yoghurts, Breads, cereals, tea & coffee. Mike & Lorraine were good hosts and always around to see if everything was fine. Would highly recommend this option versus a resort or hotel as attention to detail and friendliness is not always offered or delivered in larger facilities. Will be recommending to friends & family and will be returning Thank you

We enjoyed our 4 days at this property. First appearance from the outside was that the place looked a bit small. Once we were in our room though that changed. The space was more then sufficient; immaculately clean and had everything we needed. The location of property was within walking distance to all what we required. (Restaurants, entertainment etc.) Service was with a smile, making our stay extra pleasant.
