Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This is a must to stay at location if your are travelling to the Busselton/Margaret River Region of Western Australia. As for location it is a short walk to the beach, under two minutes and close to shops and a tavern. We stayed in one of their Swiss Chalets which was disabled friendly. The chalet was well set up with a large fridge/freezer, stove and all the utensils you require. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, a must for me. You also have TV, DVD, wifi, a wood fire for winter and air conditioning for summer.

This is the most relaxing setting I have stayed at in many a year. The chalets are set under trees with ample distance between them. Never heard a noise from the neighbours. On this trip we travelled with a 2 year old so the play area got a good workout along with the well kept parklands.

Now for the big attraction, the beach! It is just beautiful pure white soft sand, safe waters even for toddlers (always under supervision) and in the evening the most beautiful sunset.

We are so happy that we have found Sandy Bay Holiday Park and look forward to our next stay.

Tim and Joanne Brand

Comfortable beds, enough plates, glass wear, bowls etc to cater for the amount of people staying. Wood and fire lighters were waiting for us when we arrived to light the fire which made the rammed earth cabin very cosy, enough wood for 2 nights. A minute walk to the beach, grounds were neat and tidy, everything you could ask for really. Highly recommend and looking forward to booking again.

Brilliant accomodation for the price and so close to the beach. Great value accomodation and great care taken by the staff. We will definitely be back! Great spacing from the living to the bedrooms always hard to find accomodation with 2 bedrooms in this price point and is fully self contained with everything you need.

This is not the first time we have stayed and will definitely not be the last. Both the rammd earth and Swiss chalets are great and clean, plus the kitchens have a full stove, which is unusual and appreciated. A minute to the beach and two to a bar up the beach side path, magic. It is pet friendly out of the school holidays, which we need. The owners and staff are as helpful and pleasant as you could ask for. In a word MAGIC!

Loved it and our Labrador also had a great time as the beach is right on the doorstop of this lovely holiday spot. Although we are elderly the children visiting with their families enjoyed the attention our Rosie offered with them asking if they could play with her. Sandy Bay catered for all family situations with harmony throughout the park. I was a little concerned about staying in a "doggie" cabin as I'm a bit of a clean freak, but it was clean and comfortable. Geographe Bay is a magnificent part of the ocean catering for fantastic long dog walks, clean beach and calm waters. Although Sandy Bay is not right in Busselton it has plenty of places close by for food, drink and is only a short drive to town (or bike ride). Dog friendly restaurants are close by.
Would highly recommend.

Sandy Bay Holiday Park, is very well maintained, there is a great camp kitchen area, grassy areas for the children to play on. About a 50 meter walk to the beach, you can hear the ocean. The kiosk has ice cream for sale, free Wi-Fi, free DVD's for everyone is available. Staff are very helpful nothing is to much. Maps are provided for the area to go see attractions and wineries. There are great places for everyone to visit, just check them out on the map.
Our earth chalet was very spacious and comfortable. Log fire kept I us warm, we were given a daily supply of wood every morning.
The great thing about Sandy Bay Holiday Park is just bring your food or( you could support the locals and buy from them), toiletries and clothes, bring the bikes, scooters for yourselves to ride around the area. The bed is very comfortable. Very safe for the kids to roam around. Just love the photos and pictures on the wall as they depict the area around Busselton.

Very cute and clean, comfortable family cottage. Master bed very comfortable and to my liking. Bathroom requires more towel hanging space for a family of 4, and perhaps a clothes airer that families can bring in or out to dry bathers/towels quicker, as we prefer not to risk using the communal clothes line, due to loss of belongings at different places in the past.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay here, and the location right near the beach was amazing. The beach was quite protected and nice and calm. Thank you for having us 😊

Sandy Bay Holiday Park is a hidden gem in a lovely part of the beautiful town of Busselton. The grounds are lush and immaculately kept and the facilities, although a little older now, are spotlessly clean. I noticed that the ablution blocks had been upgraded recently with new loos, showerheads, shower curtains, benches and sinks. Even the soap in the ablutions smells lovely - it's little touches like this that make a huge difference.
Sandy Bay is a peaceful and relaxing corner of the world, where children can play safely. It's not an adventure playground though, so if you like a holiday where your children leave after breakfast, run around like crazy all day and you have to find them for dinner - this is probably not the place for you.
Staff are always friendly and helpful and with the beach on your doorstep, quite literally, how can you not have a lovely time here.

The location is very good, with only a few minutes walk to a beautiful white sandy beach, with calm clear waters. Dog friendly, both beach and accommodations and very well maintained gardens and facilities. We stayed in a Rammed Earth cottage, which was well equipped and comfortable . the whole property seemed to be very well run and maintained . We would be happy to return and our dog loved it too.
