Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fabulously central location just off Albany’s main strip. We really enjoyed the wonderfully quirky and interesting art and curio collection throughout the house. Friendly hosts and a great breakfast. We were reminded of how beautiful Albany is and we’ll be back.

Fantastic central place to stay the proprietor Craig is gracious accommodating host . The house is decorated in what I would call art gallery style . The rooms are very comfortable and colourful . We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return .

Craig is a welcoming host & we loved our stay at the eclectic Three Chimneys B & B. Our room was spacious, fastidiously clean and crammed with a fabulous collection of art, antiques & books - did I mention the view across the port & Albany Arts Center? Great location, in easy walking distance to pubs, restaurants and shops. Highly recommended this gem!!

We stayed for 3 nights earlier this year. We found the owner to be obnoxious and rude to us for asking about the breakfast menu. We decided to have breakfast at nearby Kate's Place. Sorry but I would not recommend this establishment. There are friendlier hospitality businesses in Albany.

This well located nineteenth century establishment has 4 rooms but seems more like an art gallery. Craig the owner is a knowledgeable collector, and his artistic flair permeates the rooms. The upstairs room is the best, and it is very spacious with great views. A delicious cooked breakfast is included, cooked to perfection, and with quality gourmet peripherals. Car parking for each room. No wifi however, although it can be picked up from nearby public networks from front rooms. But this is where we would return to unquestionably when visiting Albany

The Universe shined on us when we found this gem. We have stayed a few motels and even a cabin at Emu Park in Albany but never again. This will be our go to place forever. Craig is a delight. The whole cottage and the rooms are stunning and decorated so beautifully. The location is also a winner.

If you like a comfortable house with history and lots of art then this is the place for you. We stayed just for one night and it was quirky and comfortable. The only issue is that there was a bit of noise from cars giving it a bit of welly to get up the hill in front of the place. We live in a very quiet place so we noticed this but if you are used to noise then i don't think it will be an issue. Overall, very good.

We stayed here based on the many positive reviews and dismissed the one negative review. We should have paid more attention to the negatives - which in our opinion outweigh the positives. The positives are the location, proximity to restaurants and cafes, the lovely art displayed and the friendly, vivacious and informative host. The negatives - the rooms are small and cluttered and don’t have some things you need as a traveller. The en-suite, which is a fair size is poorly laid out and has virtually no space to put your toiletries. I ended up having to put my toiletries on the floor and use the lid of the toilet as a table. The towels were stiff and scratchy like sandpaper. We had to move the bed back and disconnect the electrical appliances to create an outlet to plug in our phones. The TV is tiny and wifi is almost existent wifi. The breakfast was disappointing. We felt it was just lazy, some old brown bananas and canned fruit (really, canned fruit?) with a choice of three cereals. The hot meal, standard eggs and bacon, was so-so. The coffee was weak and tasteless. All in all not a very pleasant stay. We had hoped to stay two nights but chose to get on the road and explore another town. This place could be good (again?) but it is in need of a refresh.

We stayed three nights at this charming historical cottage. Our room was one of the front rooms, beautifully decorated with a large en suite. When we visited, we were the only guests downstairs so pretty much had the cottage to ourselves. It is brimming with fantastic artworks and memorabilia. Craig, our host is a treasure and full of anecdotes and interesting information. We had many long conversations about.........anything and everything. The location is perfect - just around the corner from EVERYthing - shopping, pubs, restaurants, the jetty. Loved this property and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
