Stayed in October 2020

Located along the main road leading into Albany, check in was easy and fast and the staff was friendly. We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment and a family room. We were not sure if the 3 bedroom apartment would suit our needs prior to booking as there were limited information regarding the apartments on the web so I'll try my best to list out what the 3 bedroom apartment contains to help future visitors.

The 3 bedroom apartment is located on the ground floor with 3 bedrooms (2 rooms with queen bed and 1 room with 2 single beds), 1 bathroom and 1 dining room with kitchenette. All rooms are connected via a hallway. All rooms come with extra quilt and pillows and heaters. The kitchenette had a 6 person dining table, an electric stove, microwave, fridge and TV. What I felt lacking with the 3 bedroom apartment was a lounge area.

The family room was also located on the ground floor. The main room with the queen bed and dining table comes with a smaller kitchenette and fridge. 2 single beds were also located in a separate room with sliding doors.

The enclosed pool and BBQ area were within walking distance from all rooms. The BBQ area is clean and well equipped with 3 stations, 2 outdoor tables/chairs, a clean-up sink and washing agents.

Breakfast was available (hot breakfast or Continental, each with different pricing) upon request and is located next to the check-in office. Great selection for breakfast.

Overall our stay was great.

We stayed here when we had to leave Stirling Range Retreat early due to fire, and we took what accommodations we could find in the area. We were lucky to find a room, even for one night. We had a motel-style room, and while it was older, it was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet. They do seem to have fees for a lot of things (I think early check-in or late check-out, washing up of dishes in room, which needs to be arranged). We were charged significantly higher than the rate I see advertised today, but rooms were hard to come by due to the nearby bushfire.

Firstly it should be said that as far as motels go, this place is ok.. it’s not bad by any means but as the title suggests if some improvement is had, it has the capacity to be an amazing motel.

Website and motel signage advertises Foxtel and in-house movies. However I am not sure if standard though, Foxtel did not work for the entirety of the stay and as well, the same movie on their in-house movie channel played on repeat for the entire four day stay.

Bathrooms need some work, staff clean them before arrival, however it’s time for some new taps and shower heads. Bathroom space is great though.

Pool is freezing, not heated. However the spa is great, nice and hot.

Rooms are tired, beds are comfortable though.

Extremely rude reception /owner, rooms tiny paid $190 each for three rooms . Only one room had an iron with no ironing board. The iron leaked and ruined my shirt. My colleague had to have cold showers no hot water in his room. Over all I can without doubt say the worst Motel I have ever stayed in . Carpet worn 1970's soap dispenser's. Curtain with moth holes all over. Hasn't had a refurbishment since built 30 yrs ago ? These owners are gouging and taking advantage of COVID. SLEEP IN YOUR CAR. Budget hotel with extreme prices.

Very basic. Good hot shower. Bathroom was clean. Staff friendly enough. We only stayed one night and had to drive into town for a meal as no restaurant. Basic continental breakfast served. The sheets and towels were clean, but bedding was not fresh and had a stale smell. Headboard marked, old sticky tape on back of door and a patchy ceiling. 70s decor. The room was a bit shabby. Could do with a deep clean and a good airing. Some neighbours in and out at 3 & 4 am, so car doors and engines. Fridge compressor bangs on regularly through the night. Sorry, but not really up to scratch.

This is a fairly ordinary motel but the rooms are quite comfortable and ours was clean. Only a short drive to the town of Albany. Reception staff was friendly and helpful. Only problem was the large step up to the room which was difficult for anybody with a disability. I think other rooms did not have this issue.

No hot water, so cold water shave and shower. A refreshing start to the day! Hotel room and furniture are a little dated but clean. Bed was comfortable and there were extra blankets. Air-conditioning is louder than you might expect.

My family and I stayed in 3 rooms on Friday night for 1 night. Accommodation is basic, but clean, functional and has everything you need.
Breakfast exceeded expectations. We had continental and fully cooked options between us and both were excellent quality with plenty of choice.
The highlight of this motel is the customer service. Nothing is too much trouble and all staff were very friendly & welcoming.
