Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very good accommodation and good location. Very good amenities and lots of appliances to make our stay very comfortable. Very clean and easily accessed. A little way from the heart of Albany but close to the Anzac Museum and the Boatshed Markets.

We stayed here recently and were blown away by the cleanliness and size of the property. We had a 3 bed, 2 bath villa which made the stay very comfortable as we had room to spread out and not be cramped. Beds were comfy, showers were great! Having a laundry to do the family washing is a must so we were stoked with this set up. The large open plan kitchen/dining/living area was fantastic and having little luxuries like a smart TV with wifi that ACTUALLY works is a dream when you have little kids! Means you can still let them have their screen time when needed! we've stayed a many different places in Albany and must say this one is at the top of the list! Will definitely be back.

Decided on a last minute trip to Albany whilst visiting W.A. from the U.K. phoned Glen at Bayside Ocean villas who was really helpful. He was having his car fixed at the garage when we phoned, but he came back to me within 30 minutes to confirm availability for the very next day. The villa itself was easy to find, and very well equipped. It’s a 3 bedroom villa with 2 bathrooms, though we just need 2 bedrooms (the third was locked). But the villa itself had a large open plan living room dining room and kitchen (full refrigerator/cooker/microwave/toaster/pots pans and crockery). We only stayed 2 nights and would happily return for a longer visit on our next trip to Australia. So much to see and do Albany. The villa is right on Middleton beach, about 10 minutes from downtown, the magnificent Anzac museum, and so many fabulous beaches and sightseeing spots. Thanks Glen for your help.... we will return one day!!

There are numerous units here and they are not all managed by the same person. I think the best manager has put the photos up of the ones he manages as the blue sign for Glen & Carol B... can be seen on the front of the shots of some units. What a good job they did. We stayed in the one in the photo on the end - villa 18 and it was warm, comfortable and everything you needed to cook a proper meal for extended family was there. Ditto to be comfortable eg cushions and comfortable lounges, good size beds. We are thinking of having a family holiday in a couple of these units with the kids and grandchildren. The beach is a hop step and jump away ditto the cycle path and the golf club. Plenty to do in Albany, beaches, walks, history of the colony, and of course the Anzac Memorial museum that is world class. Take you camera as plenty of spectacular views. Now back to my first point, we moved then to another unit that was managed by the local tourist bureau which has a fancy name and it was disappointing. What Glen and Carol achieved in spades with attention to detail they didnt achieve. It was OK but it underperformed what it potentially could have been. The double bed was small, one salad server !!! ie not a set, no pot mit, door handle at front was dirty with dust, bricks had bits of wood chip from the garden that invited themselves inside on ones shoes, the TV controller in the bed room didnt work presumably it has a flat battery. Come on guys lift your game the location and the buildings are great. So folks in the meantime I would say book with Glenn and Carol and get in the units they control or you might think I am a bit picky , if so go right ahead as it is a good location and the area is terrific. By the way I have never met Glenn or Carol just dealt with them over the booking system so this is a "fair dinkum" review as we say in Australia. Oh by the way, a good place for sales people to stay overnight as plenty of take away food shops within 10 minutes and Naked bean Coffee Roasters for a Coffee. One block from there is a family supermarket that sells roast dinners and salads etc in their deli.

We were 4 adults with 2 kids and the Villa was spacious, well appointed, comfortable, quiet and a great location (5 mins to the city centre). Whether staying a couple of days or a couple of months this place is fantastic. The beach access is 75 metres from the front door and a bitumen footpath or cycleway that will take you to Emu Point where there is a lovely cafe & the famous Kalgan Queen river Boat which we highly recommend. The middle queen bed room is the quieter of the two queen rooms and also not affected by the morning sun. The beds were comfortable and the showers hot. For the golf lovers the closest course is next door :-) The internet / phone signals are pretty poor so enjoy the lack of technology and interruption.

My partner and I stayed two nights at Villa 17. This is a well appointed, very clean and comfortable self contained accommodation. The kitchen has everything you need and having a washing machine and dryer is wonderful for travelers. Easy to cook after a quick visit to supermarket. Albany was quite windy when we visited but we did manage a wonderful walk along Middleton beach, which is very close to the unit, early one morning. 10 minute drive to central Albany and not hard to find.

really great location, 3 bedroom, 2 baths and fully appointed with lots of decent utensils and quality furniture. Both TV's worked, good fridge and quality appliances, very quiet location that backs onto Middleton Beach, beds very comfortable, best Villa I have stayed in anywhere. This Villa is a credit to private owners Rob and Jude, the e-mail updates prior were spot on, the links and maps were helpful, it is great when everything works and the quality has not been skimped on, we will definitely return to Unit 6.

We were two families staying for 2 nights in the 3 bedroom Villa 13. The villa was clean and well furnished. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and complimentary tea and coffee was provided. The bathrooms had a good selection of amenities and the laundry had a washing machine and separate tumble dryer which was very useful as the weather was cloudy. The TV in the living room had Foxtel and there was even a selection of board games. The location was perfect as it is quite central and provided a good base for visiting all the tourist attractions in Albany. It is also a stone's throw away from the beach. The customer service and communication has also been fantastic. Glen answered all our queries promptly and called us in the morning before we checked in to confirm our bedroom setup. After we left Glen called us to inform us that a toy (which was our child's comforter) was left behind and that he had already posted it to our address by express mail so that it would be there when we got back! All in all we were pleasantly surprised by the standard of the accommodation and really enjoyed our stay.

This 3 bedroom villa was bright, well furnished & maintained, clean & spacious and all the utensils in house. This coupled with a beautiful location adjacent to a golf resort, a very long stretch of a white sandy beach and a fifteen minute drive into Albany town makes it an ideal holiday location. Our only comment would be for those who are light sleepers, the sunlight is shining almost unobstructed early in the morning into your bedroom.

This was my first visit to Albany and we couldn't have had a better place to stay. I have stayed in self contained places before but there was always something that you needed to go out and buy but here everything was there and ready to go. The only downside was vertical blinds, it tended to get light really early in the morning and the verticals didn't block out the sun in the bedroom.
