Our first time staying at Dunmoylen will hopefully be the first of many to come. The new owner, Sue, seems to have taken over what was already a well-loved establishment, and she has already made it her own and is making her mark on it in many great ways for the guests.

Staying at Dunmoylen was, for us, like a home away from home. Sue makes you very welcome and relaxed without being at all intrusive, as sometimes happens with B&B owners. The room was attractive, clean and very comfortable, with all amenities; and the convenience of the nearby kitchenette was an unexpected bonus. The breakfast room doubling as a lounge area for most of the day/evening is very comfortable too.

Breakfast was a highlight! The range of fresh fruit, breads for toast with preserves, cereals, yoghurts, juice etc really got the day off to a healthy start, and Sue offers a range of extra options to be requested the previous day. It was perfectly delicious, and enjoyed in the very comfortable breakfast room with a lovely window view. The time range available for breakfast should suit anyone, whether you like it earlier or a little later.

Parking is safe and convenient, off the street and with plenty of room.

Dunmoylen's location is walking distance to several cafes and restaurants and even the town centre. There is not a great deal of noise from passing traffic as the street does not lead anywhere particular.

Overall, we would not bother to look elsewhere for accommodation for a couple in Albany, Sue's Dunmoyleh House fits the bill perfectly in every way!

What a beautiful place to stay. This heritage house is maintained exceptionally. The rooms are not spacious but have a queen, very comfortable bed, TV, air-conditioning and a separated ensuit bathroom. There is a separate common room with a kitchenette to make coffee and tea, refrigerator, book case full of novels to early Albany photo collage and a massage chair to soften the aches . Breakfast is in front central room with views over the balcony to the front gardens. Even in mid winter there were flowers blooming. Our host was meticulous with all things including breakfast. Fresh fruit platter, cereals and jams with an array of tea and coffee to choose from. Located only a 5 minute walk to the main street of Albany

We liked everything about our recent stay. The property is easy to find and the off street parking easy to use. It is just 5 minutes walk from the Albany CCD and shopping streets with easy access to restaurants and cafes. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable. We loved the balcony and view out over the harbour. It was very easy to make a cup of tea in the shared kitchen and find an interesting magazine to read in the lounge. We really enjoyed our breakfast consisting of finely cut fruit, Bircher muesli and toast and jam in the mornings. We really appreciated the way Sue went out of her way to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

Cheryl is a welcoming host. She has thought of everything including a guest lounge with port, coffee, tea and chocolate. . Our room had its own balcony with a view over the rose garden and the harbour. Breakfast is delicious with a fruit platter, muesli, toast and freshly made eggs, porridge or waffles.
It’s a short stroll to the city centre.

From the initial contact with Sue for availability, making my booking and then staying for a few nights, I can easily say everything about my experience at Dunmoylen House was excellent and allowed me to relax. Sue was helpful with my travelling questions. Stayed in the Sanctuary Room has a big comfortable bed in which I slept soundly, a good sized ensuite, a lounge chair with a tv and dvd player. It was my cocoon space after my full days. The big front room is a communal space to relax in and where Sue’s superb breakfast is hosted. Loved her fresh fruit and hard boiled eggs in particular. A fantastic bed and breakfast which suited me very well. Happy to recommend.

Absolutely loved our five days here. Gracious hostess, wonderful welcome. Delicious breakfasts in a quaint heritage house. Linen, China, fresh flowers from the glorious garden. After each day of exploring Albany and surrounds, especially the ANZAC Museum we would dine out then take a complimentary port in the lounge. Perfectly positioned to walk to various interesting scenic spots. One hint though. Choose room one or two. The so-called Sanctuary, is exactly that. OK for a sleepover which is all you need if a tourist. The ensuite was fine though. Stacks of hot water.

We loved this charming house. Sue makes you feel at home right from the start. Brekkie was a treat with the room located at the front of the house overlooking the garden and with water views. Its an easy 10 min walk to the town centre. We stayed 2 nights but wished we stayed longer.

We chose Dunmoylen House for its history and location which was spot on. Close to the historical precinct and the Fort. Their gardens were lovely and we had fresh flowers on our table for breakfast each day. There is a communal kitchenette.
We booked the front room with the balcony facing the park and harbour - lovely views but the doors did not open ☹.
Bed was reasonably comfy but a little small. Continental breakfast was nice. Unfortunately there is a cat that lives and wanders the house so as my husband is highly allergic we had to spend time in our room only when we weren't out touring.
