Booked this place as it was recommended by a wedding website - the knot as we were attending our nieces wedding. Looked ok in photos however not really up to the 4 star rating more a 3. Very small room . The bathroom had a sensor that ran both fan and light when you just stepped into the room went in for ages even after you’re finished in there awful at night . The toilet was separate but so small the toilet roll holder gave me a bruise was so annoying. Also nowhere to hang more than 1 towel and we are supposed to be not over washing these any more. And very tiny plates no cutting board to make toast on even though there is a toaster supplied. Overall quite dissatisfied would not recommend this place.

Hotel's Favourite
From the moment we had made a phone booking with a very helpful, friendly staff member, we had positive vibes about the property. We were not disappointed at all. The location is good – just a few minutes from the CBD area, easy to find on the main highway and was quiet at night – we were in a room away from the road though. The room was a good size and spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed enabling a good night’s sleep. The wifi was of a good strength and for tech nerds, there were ample power points. I must mention the outstanding Guest Information folder which is well organised and thorough. Most country and regional motels tend to have just the basics, not with the Albany Country Comfort Amity Motel. What caught our eyes were the telephone in the room, the community kitchen, the games room, gym and the pool. And there was a safe in the room! Not being Indian Cuisine fans, we did not try the on-site restaurant but will on the next trip. Parking is outside the room. We found the shower good with almost instant hot water and consistent flow. Thank you for a good property to stay in and we look forward to returning to you at some time in the future.

First impressions of this place didn’t win me over I don’t know why. I honestly believe that it was the stale cigarette smell due to a large cigarette ashtray immediately outside the door between rooms :( I feel there could be a better place to have this as it really put me off in a huge way on first impression. Our neighbour stood at his door smoking everyday which sent the smoke straight into our bathroom window. But by the end of our week stay I enjoyed the entire complex Much more. The room was small and could use a few little updates but otherwise was comfortable. * the complex has a lovely pool open 7-7 with a picnic table and a couple of bathing chairs. Small pool but I’m sure effective on the warmer days. *little gym attached to pool area fully enclosed , I saw a few people in it at different times, a great addition to have the option. * games room with pool table tv, couch and dinner table. Accessible with your room key. *the better equipped camp style kitchen that I’ve seen for all the motel rooms to use. Stove, fridge, slow cookers, pans and pots, cutlery and plates etc. deep sinks. Toilet to use close by. recycle bins and a table tennis table and another tv. Bbq outside with a couple of picnic tables. I’d book again without a qualm :)

10 of us travelled to Albany for a weekend of Car racing, We had 4 rooms. Rooms were very Clean & Beds were very comfortable. Internet Service was great. What a Great set up it has, from the outdoor BBQs, Communal Kitchen & Games Room, which we utilised all every day. Having a Laundry we could use was also very handy. All Staff were Very Friendly & Nothing was too much Trouble. We would definitely stay there again and will recommend here to all our friends. Thanks for an Enjoyable Stay.

The room is clean although had to put our pillowcases on as they were left on bed. Be careful if you don’t want to be going up a long thin set of stairs with your luggage or even without luggage, make sure you book ground floor. They said they couldn’t move our room even though one of us had just had surgery so they were not as flexible as I would have liked.

Thank you for your feedback, however, it is disappointing that you have chosen to rate us low because we could not accommodate a request made at check in, for a ground level room on one of the busiest weekends in Albany. At the time of check-in, on Easter weekend, we did not have another room to offer as an alternative to the one you booked, as we were full. We have checked and cannot see any special requests made at the time of booking. Had you done so, it would have been possible to allocate you a ground level room as you booked your stay in September last year. As advertised, our standard and queen rooms are the only rooms located over 2 floors, we have 2 other room types both on ground level that may have been more suitable. We are at a loss as to explain why your pillowcases were not on the pillows but apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are delighted however, you have rated us good value for money. We hope you enjoyed your stay in the Albany region.

I only ever dealt with the staff at reception but they were always polite, helpful and very informative. We had two connecting rooms for our family of five. There was plenty of space and the beds were comfortable. Rooms have split system air conditioners that work well enough. Despite the bathrooms (especially the toilets) showing their age, the rooms are at least clean. Rooms come with a digital TV with free-to-air channels, alarm clock, phone, microwave, kettle, mini-fridge and iron. Bathrooms come with complimentary toiletries. The motel is located on Albany Highway, like many motels in Albany and as such, for those not accustomed to staying next to a busy road it can be quite noisy (although as I'm a city slicker, I personally didn't have any issue). Since it is on Albany Highway though, it's easy to find. The motel has many facilities available, including an Indian restaurant, swimming pool, guest laundry, table tennis table, communal kitchen and a games room. DVD players and board games are available from reception on request too. Continental breakfasts are available for $13pp. What I liked best about the motel was the convenient location, friendly service, and clean and spacious rooms. What I liked least was that the bathrooms could do with some refurbishing, especially the toilets.

Thank you for your feedback. As our street address suggests we are located on Albany Highway, however, there is very little road noise in our standard rooms from around 8pm on-wards, so most are surprised at how quiet these rooms actually are. We are over 3 levels so we certainly do have alternative, "quieter" rooms, however these are at a higher tariff. We are delighted you made good use of our communal areas and enjoyed our well priced, continental breakfasts during your stay. We are systematically working through our bathrooms to upgrade those that need it, so your comments are well-received and certainly being actioned. We do thank you for choosing to stay with us.

Stayed here 4 nights. The room was clean and well equipped and the shared kitchen was a real bonus for the oven, crockery etc. The shower room was dated but clean enough and not an issue. The location was ok for walking into the old part of town-about 40 minutes and the supermarkets were a 30 minute walk. There was a very good fish and chip shop in walking distance on the Highway. As Albany covers a large area, a car is essential from this motel. The average score is for the noise from the Highway. We were in a unit right next to the road. The noise is quieter at night but relentless in the day. We did ask to change room on arrival but told it would quieten down and to come back the next day if a problem. By then we had unpacked/settled in. Would recommend making sure you are in a quieter room if the motel can accommodate-the other rows of units would be much more peaceful for sure.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. We are pleased you found your room clean and comfortable and made good use of our onsite facilities. Country Comfort Amity motel is located a short 1.8 km's from the town centre so just a brisk 10 - 15 minute walk or a less than 3 minute drive to access shopping centres, cafes and pubs. We apologise that you did not find this convenient. We do have other room types for those not wanting to be located along the roadside, these have a higher tariff but experience little to no road noise. We hope you enjoyed your visit to the region.

This was a lovely motel to stay in whilst in Albany. Friendly lady at check in, clean and comfortable rooms. Everything we needed just when we needed it as bad weather prevented us from sticking to our plan of camping. Would recommend and would stay again.

It is very disappointing to read your review as it seems in direct contrast with many others that we receive daily. We thank you for your feedback and apologise that you did not enjoy your stay. It is disappointing that you chose not to report any of the issues you have raised with our staff, during your stay, as we would have investigated immediately and possibly could have offered you an alternative room. We hope despite the issues raised you enjoyed your visit to the Albany area.
