Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I booked a Budget Ensuite Cabin for my daughter for 4 nights. The rate was advertised as $105 which was great. My daughter paid online for the cabin before they arrived in Albany. On checking out, she was charged an extra $120 which I queried. Turns out there were no Budget Ensuite Cabins available when they arrived so they were given an Ensuite Cabin which was an extra $30/ night. I am annoyed as the booking was originally taken and paid for yet obviously the cabins were not available. Why allow the booking to be made in the first place? Also the power went off all day and when my daughter returned in the evening, she was told to just keep turning the switch back on every time it tripped out. The rain was causing it to go off! Not good when there was a fridge full of food and drinks and you have to keep on turning your own power back on. The cabin next door to them had the same problem so not really very safe or pleasant particularly when you are charged more on leaving!!! Not happy at all and will book some place else next time.

The cabins have nice outdoor seating looking into the central play area which would be great for families. We really liked staying here. Dogs can run off the leash in the exercise area AND inside the cabin, and you are not made to feel like a heathen! Petrol station across the road turned out to have the best coffee of our south coast WA trip.

We stayed at the Albany Holiday Park in an ensuite cabin. This is our first experience of a holiday park cabin, and thankfully it's was a good one as we plan to stay in many throughout New Zealand. We booked a winter special and paid less for an ensuite cabin than a budget cabin with shared facilities. The main cabin had a well equipped kitchen, dining area, TV, DVD player and a separate area with a double bed. The cabin had been extended by adding a room onto its side containing bunk beds and a bathroom area. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. After staying in many budget hotels and hostels it was nice to have our own space and be able to do our own cooking. We had an enjoyable stay at the Albany Holiday Park and hope that it hasn't set the bar too high for other holiday parks.

Do yourself a favour and pay the extra money to stay elsewhere. The amenities block was disgusting, not because it was old but because nothing worked. One of the toilets wouldn’t flush but nobody bothered to put an out of order sign up so people continued to use it, Only a couple of the showers worked probably, one didn’t work at all but again no out of order sign, signs up saying there was sanitary napkin disposal units but not one in the six toilet complex, most taps wouldn’t turn off properly and lack of cleaning made for an unpleasant stay. In these times of COVID I found this place very unhygienic. Don’t get me started on the state of the cabin that our friends stayed in, but that is their review to write. Oh another thing, wouldn’t recommend using the barbecues, they were caked with old grease and just gross

Unfortunately we were limited with accommodation options due to a long weekend and having to attend a funeral travelling from Perth.
We arrived to our standard cabin which we had booked for 3 nights. Entered to find that the floor was Sandy and the top bunk bed filled with sand. No towels which we were told were provided. Politely went to inform the office with no apology just the response we could “look at the other cabin next door to see if it was cleaner”..........
The ablution blocks were sickening. Absolutely filthy. The toilet discs inside the bowl were covered in sh*t and the toilet lids were stained and covered in stains, shower curtains mouldy, sinks and benches dirty. Too much more to say but all I will finish with was that it was very disappointing the whole visit and stay. Will never have my business again.

We have had an extremely disappointing stay here. The staff are only employed for a set number of hours per day and this leaves the office unattended and difficult to contact. The cleaner and maintenance man are not allowed enough time to complete their duties. The toilets go days without being cleaned and often are left without toilet paper. The grounds are untidy and bins are left overflowing as they are only emptied weekly. Would not recommend staying here unless fully self contained.

Staff friendly enough on phone when booking.
On arrival busy out back, needs lessons in customer service.
Comes across aggressive like you have interrupted her day.
Ablutions are dated and weren’t cleaned for 2 days just had toilet paper replaced.
No rubbish bins in ablution block so rubbish was left on the floor.
Not park’s fault but not cleaned up.
Needs maintenance around park especially trees trimmed over paths & dead plants removed.
Fencing falling down & leaning into pathways.
Park was close to empty but no sprinklers on empty sites & they need it.
Charge top dollar because of school holidays but seriously not worth it $$

This park is listed in the Campa Australia Guide as a $+ ($28-$39) but when we booked in a couple of nights ago the cost was $43/night.
Park didn't look too bad until we got to our designated site. The site did have a concrete slab (very small) but it was covered in bark and sticks and there were weeds all around us. (They did mow while we were there which made it look a little better).
The power inlet was covered in spiders webs and the outlet/drain was blocked with leaves and twigs. We felt this site had not been used in a very long time.
The facilities (only one amenities block for the whole park) were very old and not at all clean. (cleaners sheet hadn't been completed since March).
As we arrived at the park at 3.45pm, paid for our site and the office closed at 4pm there wasn't much we could do that day. I did speak to the girl in the office the next morning and she was most apologetic but not much she could do.
After travelling half way around Australia on this trip, (3 months to date) this would have to be the worst park we have stayed in.

Very unhygienic, zero service to chalets or cabins. Overflowing bins in the park, this place really needed a facelift about 20 years ago....
Dont waste your hard earned money, very overpriced for such sorry facilities.

I booked 3 nights accommodation in a budget cabin for myself my daughter and my grandson which cost over 500 dollars for the three nights so not super cheap
The photos when I booked were misleading as the cabin we had was probably the worst one in the park, and looked nothing like the photos on the booking.
It was without a doubt the worst accommodation
I’ve ever stayed in.
The cabin was old outdated and filthy, none of the windows closed or locked properly there was a huge build up of toast crumbs in the toaster tray, the stove had bits of food on it, the couch was absolutely filthy and looked like it had been chewed by rats
Under the couch cushions was food, and rubbish, the toilet was black caked on,
The wall where children sleep had a hole to the outside.
The whole place was poorly maintained and dirty.
Office was not attended on a Sunday at all so I could not even complain in person
I would not recommend anyone staying here
Kim
