I come to Albany on business every month and stay at Vermeer 102 .This apartment is very clean and though the bathroom is not mordern it is spotless.I find Vermeer a real home from home.Unfortunately for the owners there is privately owned apartments at the Foreshore that are not up to this standard,I too have made this mistake.I would reccommend that you make sure it is Vermeer 102 you are booking,it is cosy and well equipt.

This was spacious, comfortable but dated and just outside our bedroom, and I mean just, was a train line that brought woodchip to the port three of four times a day. Ocean nearby and for us at least the train was a novelty but I'm not sure everyone would find it that way. We loved Albany and its attractions and this apartment 107 was very central to shopping, the tourist centre and eateries.

The hotel is good when you first arrive, but needs a lot of work done to it. It is very dirty, and very dated. The bathroom was almost unusable and the beds were so lumpy you got the worst sleep of your life.

I don't recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Albany, but on a positive subject, Albany is very pretty and it worth seeing.

This is very roomy , clean and great location. Our biggest problem with this accommodation is the shower pressure was non existent so this was a big disappointment.
So though everything great this was a letdown.

When we arrive we was very pleasantly surprised about this apartment how very clean and everything we needed for the four nights stay. Has a view of the entertainment center, sea and the garden of peace.

Very quite the freight train had been in could not hear it

We both was very happy and would certainly stay here again

We stayed in apartment 104 for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped and in a fantastic location with views of the water from the balcony. It was an easy walk to the main street and lots of restaurants as well as the museum and the Entertainment Centre. Would definitely stay again if in Albany.

We stayed in apartment 104 which was a very clean and comfortable apartment.
Private balcony with views from the beautiful uni buildings and across the harbour.
Bathroom included a bath and plenty of room in the vanity to spread out for a week's stay. King size bed was comfortable and only flaw was that the pillows were too fluffy!
Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook a couple of meals and even had oil which was lucky because we forgot to buy some! :)
Lounge had a good sized TV and plenty of DVDs and books but the weather was so good, we didn't need to use them at all.
Very handy location. We'd definitely stay here again.

The apartment I refer to is 106 Foreshore Apartment, which is run by Albany Harbourside Apartments. There are several other apartments on the block.
106 is very comfortable and had everything you could possibly require, including air con, coffee, tea, milk sugar and even a free bottle of wine. A large flat screen tv, DVD player and radio.
Very clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony overlooking the ocean and one can see the beautiful sun sets from there.
Please do not confuse this apartment with others in the same block. I would most definitely return to this apartment should we ever visit Albany again.

Some people just don't get it! Reading the last review I gather this person has no idea appreciation for exceptional taste in furnishings, beautiful well chosen linen, soft pleasing colour schemes, books on the shelves worth reading, movies worth watching. These apartments are immaculately clean and comfortable. Where else can you sit in a chesterfield you would want in your own house - I've stayed in a lot of hotels and these apartments are my favorite place to stay in Australia. The owners have carefully put a collection of art and furnishings together that one could have one's own house. It is a pleasure staying in both the Vermeer and the Rembrandt. Some people seem hard to please after reading the other views but if you are after something luxurious, comfortable and different these apartments offer you a pleasant change. I could take myself off to Albany and lose myself in either of these apartments for a week with books, and my writing/word processors and not miss the rest of the world. Good work guys... love it love it love it... it it's the only place worth staying at in Albany, there are plenty places I won't stay. I highly recommend it.
