Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Got caught with Covid Border Control issues and had to book this Location at last minute. The Receptionist was a pure delight who organised our beautiful room and guest services, especially after I was a bit frazzled by our Border situation.
Rooms extremely clean and modern with the most comfortable beds ever.
The Full Breakfast was delivered by very friendly staff member Karen and one of the best we have had in our many travels.
Will definitely spent time here again and thoroughly recommend.

We stayed in room 33 for 4 nights while my husband did a cycling event. There are lots of good cycling trails in and around Wodonga. The room was towards the back so very quiet with no road noise. The room was clean and modern, with comfy beds. There is a fridge, microwave and toaster , with plates and cutlery. The. room has table and chairs. The only thing I didn’t like about the room was brown cushions and bed throw. I really dislike brown furnishings, such a depressing colour, so I hid them in the cupboard while we were there. There are two outdoor pools, the one near reception also has a hot spa which I used because the pool water was very cold even though the daily temp was 29 degrees ( solar heated pools always seem cold) There are lots of little picnic areas within the gardens and pool areas of the grounds. The motel has scenic views of the mountains but could use some screening plants to block the view of the nearby shopping complex. Food can be delivered from the pub next door, and there are some fast food outlets in walking distance. I would stay there again in future, but do hope for slightly warmer pool, and no brown decor so I can up my rating.

We basically just needed a place to stay, no real demands for extra amenities and the room was large with everything we required including a small dining setting and a reasonably good sofa.
The room was quite large and the bathroom was excellent with a very good shower and a large bench.
We stayed for 3 nights & requested early access so that we could change for a midday function on our arrival date and the motel was very accommodating. We had pizzas one night from the Blazing Stump Hotel next door & they were excellent. Overall we had a lovely stay, nice room & very friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

I stayed for 1 night while visiting friends in Wodonga and wasn't very impressed with the Blazing Stump.
For $175 for a night's night stay I would've thought there would be a bit more included with the room. The WIFI log in details provided didn't work and the pay tv channels that were listed in the room weren't on the tv. Although the walls were brick I could hear noise from the rooms either side very clearly.
The room was very clean and well maintained but I've payed a lot less for rooms of a similar standard elsewhere.
The bar next door is very convenient though, and I couldn't hear any excess noise coming from over there at all.
If the rooms were <$100 a night I'd give this place 5 stars but even the basics that I'd expect from a room costing more than $150 weren't there.
Staff were very friendly.

Have stayed at the property a few times and whilst expensive for the standard of the rooms it has been a convenient location. This last stay a male staff member was very aggressive and rude to us and a group of friends whom where talking in front of their room in an allocated fenced area. He threatened to evict us as he had received 5 complaints for noise. This was the first time he had spoken to us and we immediately stopped our socialising. It was 10.15pm on a Saturday night. My expectation would have been for him to explain that he had received a complaint and we would have complied with the same. Hard not to suspect their had been no complaint at all from other guests because the alleged complaint was over the top. We were staying with our children whom were a sleep and hence why we were socialising nearby them. We had neighbours to my room whom I did not know and they I noted from the noise socialised through to at least 11.30pm out the front of their room before I fell asleep and I had no concerns re the same. The motel is night next to a Hotel no less. Further very poor television service in the rooms. Won't be back

Do not believe everything in your room directory. In there, it states that "rooms are serviced daily". NOT TRUE. They can't afford to have staff come and service rooms on Sundays, so rooms are not serviced daily. There are 4 easy access rooms but parking outside those rooms (for people with disabilities) becomes a real issue, especially when management parks their car in front of one of those rooms. The reception staff are welcoming, but management/ownership are quite rude. Try elsewhere.

From the moment I walked into the reception area to check in , I was overcome with the strong stench of stale cigarette smoke. Should have demanded My Money back and left however as I had booked a smoke free room I persisted.
Bad move
The non smoking room stank as well.
We left the room and went to the pub, equally as bad. Definitely could not eat there due to the smell.
We were due to stay here again in a weeks time on the way back from Sydney. Cancelled that straight away.
Thought maybe I wash harsh so went back to reception to return the key next morning.
My goodness- no better at 8 am.

Never again

You need to sort it out or advertise the hotel for smokers only.

Stayed two night here and then flew back to Queensland. Great service, helpful, clean, comfortable, big rooms, bedding was very good, large bathroom and parking outside of your room. Meals to room from the adjacent Blazing Stump Hotel was amazing. 8 slices of roast beef with 2 lots of all baked veg and Garvey. Prawn linguine was also a huge meal. My son went back to work on the Monday so the staff organised a taxi to take me to the airport for my flight. Nothing was a bother to them.

We made a mistake booking here. Really not our cup of tea. That said, it was clean, comfortable and very convenient.
If you enjoy fast food, there’s lots of choice locally.
It sits right on the main road and is a short drive to two reasonable sized towns.
As far as value for money is concerned, not a bad bet.

What an absolute disgrace. We’ve stayed here many many times and have rated it as the bench mark motel of the area.
New management need to be sacked ASAP to save the reputation of the business. Dirty dishes left out the front of room for 3 days. Can’t get rooms cleaned, can’t get new towels, ran out of toilet paper, ran out of coffee, blown lights globes in rooms, dripping taps, main driveway blocked with mangers cars, no staff at all over the weekend, formerly beautiful gardens are ruined, resident courtyard looked like a tip, main pool shut down & looked like a dam, small pool dirty & spa was disgusting, maintenance slipping away. Hired staff were really nice, new managers were rude, angry about having to provide the service customers pay for and the definition of LAZY… what an absolute heartbreak… would not recommend and will never be back while current management is in place…
