Our farm stay country cottages are a great place to unwind, and take in some of the most beautiful countryside Victoria has to offe. Located just minutes from The Great Ocean Road, the beautiful beaches of the Surf Coast, Torquay, and Bells Beach, we are perfectly positioned for your next visit. Our gorgeous self contained country cottages are a welcomed retreat for family or group bookings.Or, you could visit our much loved romantic getaway, Woodcutters Cottage. Woodcutters is your own private hideaway which includes a spa and sauna. This is very secluded one bedroom holiday cottage where couples can hide out with only the sounds of the birds and native wildlife to interrupt them. Roam our 50 acre country retreat, exploring the fruit orchard; home of the chickens, ducks and geese. Walk through our olive grove and watch the Kangaroos grazing in the back paddock. Spend time with the horses; Hugo and Pixie, the cows; including our new calf, watch our silly little goats or make friends with Percy, our pet pig. Alternatively, rug up in front of the fireplace with a good book and a hot chocolate, or why not get yourself a glass of that great local wine and sit on your private verandah watching the sun go down whilst the local kangaroos graze freely in the paddock. With so much to do for families and children, this is one holiday you'll never forget!

We spent three nights in the Willow Cottage and are already planning our next trip back in a few months time! We had the best time at the farm. Our daughter bottle fed lambs, we walked goats on a lead every day, went for tractor rides, hand fed cows, sheep, pigs, horses, goats and a kangaroo. There were 31 newborn piglets that were soooo cute! We collected and cooked fresh eggs on one of the mornings and gave a couple of them to another family, as the chickens weren't laying many when we were there. We didn't take any devices and had the best holiday we've had in years. It was great to disconnect and get back to nature.

A couple of nights the farmers built a fire in the common area and all the kids toasted marshmallows before moving on to bottle feeding the lambs.

We took torches, so did night walks to see what night animals we could find and spotted some cute possums, owls and a tawny frog mouth.

The property is beautiful. The farmers are knowledgeable, friendly and hospitable and the cottages are so cute and cosy with a raging fire.

Can't speak highly enough of Freshwater Creek Cottages and can't wait to get back there

The bushland and paddocks that surround the cottages are picturesque.
The cottages are perfect, everything one could wish for; roomy, cosy and private. The cottages are clean and well maintained. The kitchens are very well stocked with a variety of crockery, cooking utensils and a few other thoughtful essential inclusions. BBQs and outdoor settings are setup right outside the cottages.
There are numerous bikes for the kids and a great playground complete with cubby house and trampoline.
The gardens are a delight to wander around. When we were there the roses were in bloom and looked amazing!
Our stay was made comfortable and enjoyable thanks to our lovely, friendly hosts. They are so accommodating; nothing is too much trouble and you are made to feel very welcome. The full farm tour on a tractor trailer is a must. You get to see and feed pigs, sheep, cows, goats and horses. You can collect eggs from the chickens and pick fruit from the orchard.
You may also be lucky enough to see a beautiful sunset and kangaroos in the paddocks. We enjoyed every minute and will make Freshwater Creek Cottages a regular getaway.

We had a wonderful time and will be back again. We loved the tractor tour and feeding the animals. The host did an amazing job and a highlight was the marshmallows he organised around the outdoor fire.. 15 mins away from torquay shops and freshwater creek cakes is close by for nice cakes and bakery treats.

My partner and I had a magical weekend away at Freshwater Creek Cottages. Our little cottage was perfect for a couples romantic getaway and was very clean with all you would need to just hide away. We loved it so much, we got engaged! Even our British Bulldog loved it and he made some friends with the piglets! There is plenty of space for everyone so you don't feel cramped and lots of animals to feed. You feel welcome to wonder around the farm house gardens with it's amazing flowers. It's just a short drive away to Torquay or Angelsea for the beach on a hot day. We will definitely be returning.

My family and I have just returned from our second stay at Freshwater Creek Cottages. We stayed in Daisy cottage this time around - All the cottages are lovely with a very 'homely' feel. However, Daisy has 2 bunk beds in the second bedroom. We have 2 kids, so for the sake of peace, it was in our best interest to select this one!

The kids had an amazing time feeding (and naming! 😜) all the animals on site, going for a night bush walk to explore the property by torchlight and see how many possums we could spot. The giant chessboard also provided some hours of entertainment, which was great.

A 15 minute drive from Torquay Esplanade meant that we also were able to enjoy the beach and restaurants nearby.

As always, Marissa, Phil and Melissa have been wonderful throughout the booking process, with the initial uncertainty of the booking, early check in to finding our daughter's precious "Bunny" after we had already arrived home and organising for it's safe return.

We didn't do farm tour with Farmer Phil this time around as we had already been last year, but for those interested, the tour provides an opportunity to understand more about the farm, orchards and get up close to the animals. We were fortunate to meet some baby piglets at our visit last year. The kids also had the opportunity to help with food sorting, which they loved.

The kids have decided that Freshwater Creek must be an annual family tradition, something which I am more than happy to oblige to.

Thanks once again for a memorable family getaway.

The hosts are welcoming and knowledgeable, bringing you into the farming world with their daily guided tour and opportunities to mingle with the animals. From feeding the animals, to picking apples in the orchard or playing with the variety of play equipment across the grounds there is no shortage of things to do. The cottages are cosy and you really sense you are experiencing the simpler life but with the luxury of a fire place fully stocked with wood. This is where our middle child learnt to ride a bike without training wheels and we went on a self guided night tour of the farm. We plan to go back again.

We came in for 3D2N as 6 pax with oldeat being 67 year old and youngest being 13.

Everyone is still talking about the enjoyable time we had in the Lavender Cottage. The property had no wifi but had all the activities that a modern country lack of. Coming from Singapore, we are always into farmstays and have done such stays in other countries too. This, by far has superseded any other experiences that we have had. The tractor ride on Sunday morning at 9 am sharp was informative. Bicycles were provided for guests to roam around the property and feed the animals anytimes they like with available fruits and vegetables. It was a definitely therapeutic experience for us. As the cottages are self-catering, we made it a point to load ourselves with food and groceries prior to the stay so we do not need to be making trips out unnecessarily. Understand that there are nearby shops too within 10-15 mins drive, if you so wish to dine out.

Dont forget to collect fresh farm eggs (available daily) when you are there. Most importantly, take a back seat and enjoy the view, the pace and the vicinity full of farm animals, kangaroos even their pet kangaroo roaming around the main house!

The cottages were located in a quiet space overlooking the grass field where we can see the sheep and cows roam. A neighbourhood kangaroo visits us every night seeking warmth on the porch.

The cottage itself is wood fire warmed... So if you are not handy in this area, better watch a few Youtube videos before arriving. It is great fun! Feeding the animals everyday was great fun too, especially for my 6 year old. Not to mention the excitement of picking up newly laid eggs from the chicken coop.

Coming from hugely dense urban Singapore. This place is heaven for me. Quiet and full of life. Great for early morning photo walks.

The drive in is quite a while so buy what food you need to cook before going in. There are toys and bicycles around the common areas for kids to enjoy. There are wellingtons of different sizes for all to use at every cottage. Do use them, the field can be muddy.

The host is friendly and helpful too. : )

The farm was big with lots of areas to stroll and look/feed the animals. Food for the farm animals were placed near the pens and my little girl had a lot fun feeding them. We love the peaceful and relaxing ambience of the place.

The first time we went, I organised a group over 3 cottages- cooking a feast for us all was a breeze- the kitchen had every utensil we needed. It was in Autumn and the wine by the fire was perfection!

I have been twice more and I'm addicted! So is my toddler who would feed the cows, pigs, goats and horses all day!! He loves waking up to check if there are any chicken eggs.
Overall, I honestly can't wait to go back!!
