Surf Coast Rental staff were helpful, friendly and pleasant, key pick up is between 2pm and 5pm only. Any extra towels required and you will need to go the office which is about a km away. The room itself was fine except that you get just one small piece of soap for a 2 night stay and just 2 towels for the 2 days. There was a minimum amount of cutlery and no dish washing cloth or detergent just a tea towel. There is a microwave and a jug but no bowls. If you want somewhere to put your head down to sleep then that about all its good for. It is way over priced for what you have in the room. With that said the staff that look after the rentals were great, the outdoor pool area was well maintained and Torquay is a pretty and friendly town with some great boutique shops.

Booked 3 nights. The hotel is located opposite the beach and a 5 min drive from the main airy of Torquay. There is ample underground secure free parking anc the swimming pool is big and spacious. There does though need more shaded areas on hot sunny days Stayed in a standard double room overlooking the pool. The room was adequate but our fly screen broke, no table outside abc the curtain were stained. The bathroom is small but adequate but unfortunately not cleaned from previous occupant. Toothpaste covered sink! Not impressed esp in covid times hygiene needs to be in top priority. It was fine for the nights we stayed but definitely not for a week’s holiday. The staff were friendly and the cafe is nice but needs more healthier menu options. A nice little getaway but in all honestly I wouldn’t rebook. It was very expensive and in my opinion not value for money. I was charged more than to fly 2 adults and a child to Bali! On a plus side Torquay is a great seaside town with some hidden gems of restaurants.

Painfully convuluted checkin process as you need to get the key from an agent first in Torquay. Then you won't see a sign for Beachfront Resort as it apparently sub let within the Wyndham Resort. Underground car park and then a lift up to our room. Aircon was not working nor were 2 lights in the entrance area. Bed and couch was sagging and no table in the room except a dirty outdoor table on the balcony. Nice view of the pool area which is attractive and there is a bar by the pool serving snacks and drinks. Overall disappointing and needs some maintenance and upgrading. Oh and they want you to wash and put away plates and cups but don't provide any cleaning materials or a kitchen sink!

This resort is sublet through the Wyndham Resort and as such there is no 'Beachfront Resort' signage. Confusing. We had to pick the key up from an office in Torquay and there was only a one hour window on the Saturday (on the long weekend) that we were allowed to do this.
The location is good. It is across the road from the beach and a short walk into town.
Our two bedroom apartment was in fact a one bedroom apartment and an interconnecting hotel room. We did not know this until we had paid.
The hotel room absolutely stunk of mould and damp. Not good at all. Grouting in showers mouldy, shower leaked everywhere each time someone took a shower. The safe did not work.
As the place was booked out we had no choice but to stay there. For over $500 a night for the 'two bedroom apartment' this was most disappointing. I would not go out of my way to recommend this place.

Wyndham Torquay Resort apartments sold by Groupon on behalf of Surf Coast Rentals 20 Pearl St, Torquay marketed as “Beachfront Resort” Torquay Address; 100 The Esplanade,Torquay. We recently stayed at the Resort and found the pools quite amazing considering half the outside pool was heated, the grandchildren loved the environment. We had some challenges with our apartment and approached the manager of Surf Coast Rentals and he sorted the problems out quick smart. I recommend dealing with this company as they are professional and acted with a refreshing integrity. Thank you Surf Coast Rentals. Jeff Still.

Great getaway for 2 nights after the lockdown period. Lots of tracks nearby for long walks and beach across the road. Ideal location for exploring Torquay. Very close to the main town centre. Staff were excellent to deal with. Room had everything we needed to 2 nights so overall happy with our stay.

'We picked up the keys from the Surfcoast Holiday Rentals on Pearl St, we checked in to the Beachfront Resort. Once we unpacked our luggage and settle into the room, we thought we would have a look around at the facilities such as the day spa, indoor and outdoor pool, restaraunt and bar. To our shock not only is the day spa closed, but also the bar, the restaraunt and the indoor pool.
These facilities are listed on your website as an attraction and an interest for staying at the resort. Which we did not have the pleasure to receive. If we had known that four out of five facilties we're closed, we would not have spent the $462 for x2 nights stay and we would have found a better location to which our time may have been better spent and not been given false hope and false information.
We are very disappointed in our stay because of this. Your website does not mention anything about these four facilities being closed and that in itself is unjust. Your website states, "Resort facilities include and outdoor and indoor pool, restaurant, cafe, day spa and bar."
As well as having to clean everything in the apartment in worry that we'll be charge because of having any appliances left on or it being to messy...
This is not the case and because of this, we will not be visiting the resort again or referring it to friends.

Stayed at the hotel over 2 nights. Love staying in torque after a long drive from the city and then start the journey along Great Ocean Road. The beach is just across the hotel and there is an outdoor and indoor pools as well, they lit up and look very nice at night. Rooms are small but clean. The parking is available underneath the hotel. If you want a place to have some rest between exploring beautiful sights around, it will do its job.

Firstly this resort could be fantastic, scoring points for location and views. However that’s where it stops this accommodation, unfortunately, is soo tired and dated with dirty, stained sofas in the rooms, dirty marked walls in need of a paint, scratched old dining table and the indoor pool is freezing with an icy draft in need of repairs with the roof peeling. Oh and if you book with Surfcoast Rentals via the Groupon deal remind yourself to get towels for the pool/beach when you pick up the key from the office; we realised they were missing once in the room when I called to inquire they said sorry there is nowhere to obtain a towel from, you need to drive back to the office apparently they said this was in the booking confirmation email.

We spent two nights at Beachfront Resort Torquay. We were already a bit sceptical when booking it due to the very average booking.com customer reviews of 7.2. But as most of the accommodation in Torquay and surrounding was more or less booked out, we went for it.
First negative experience: if you are new to Torquay, you look of course for the „Beachfront Resort“ which you will not find with the given address. Actually, it is the Wyndham Resort. When going to the reception, we were told that there are two management teams and that we have to pickup the key to our appartment in 20 Pearl Street which is 1.5km away. As it was after 5pm, the „office“ was already closed. Luckily, the keys were accessible in an outdoor box. All this was not very transparent on the booking.com advertisement (these information was a bit hidden in the details and not available in the summary). When we finally arrived into Wyndham resort, finding the room was another challenge as this resort is really a labyrinth and the floors/hallways feel more like office floors than a resort/hotel. Very unpleasant.
Second negative experience: the room was advertised on booking.com as „Deluxe Room with Queensize Bed“ and 45m2 size. This is simply not true: this room (258) was a standard room with max 30m2. The balcony was uncleaned and had only a single chair on it. What a joke. What is so difficult about providing the standard with two chairs and a small table? Thus, balcony remained unused, very unfortunate.
Third negative experience: as already indicated by other reviewers, cleanliness is not the best. For the bed, which is the most important thing, everything fine. But the floors of living room and bathrooms were dirty.
Fourth negative experience: all about the facilities...whereas the rooms managed by „the other management team“ (the resort with the official reception) had WiFi, the rooms labeled under „Beachfront Resort Torquay“ do not offer WiFi.
