Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The campsite is on the ocean. It's really beautiful, you can go on really long walks. Ideal for anyone looking for peace and relaxation. The sanitary facilities were fine and checking in was no problem. However, we did have a lot of bugs in the sanitary area, especially in the evenings. Maybe that's normal, I can't judge this but I've never seen so many. I don't want to judge this place negatively either.

A delightful spot to pitch your tent. The beach is a short stroll away through tea-treed dunes. And it’s an interesting beach for exploring. The caravan park has lovely, friendly staff who are very helpful. The park is safe for children. There is a recreation room, washing up facilities, and clean well-kept bathrooms. No dogs allowed which is great for dog-averse people. Fellow campers were also friendly. We will definitely be putting our tent up in this park again in the future.

Friendly staff, family friendly, beautiful beaches. Cute cabin which sleeps 6. Old but beautifully decorated, no bathroom but the toilet block a few steps away. Villas stylish and beautiful outlook to the nature. Hear the waves throughout the day.

This is an old fashioned caravan park. The amenities are old but very clean and the staff were very friendly. It's right on the beach and perfect for a quiet getaway. A pocket of peace close to the busy attractions of the Great Ocean Road. New management just taking over, it will hopefully retain it's friendly staff.

Breamlea is a hidden gem - if your prepared to forgo fancy dressings. Its a basic park in a busy area with some old vans and some newer cabins. We love it for the location not the frills and return every summer for a quick beach break. The proximity of the beach and surf club make you feel more like a local than a tourist.

Bitterly disappointed! Bordering on absolutely revolting!! For just under $200 per night with a minimum booking of 2 nights. We were welcomed into a very run down cabin that had the strongest smell of urine that made my son walk back out and refuse to go back in. On closer inspection, there was a small amount of dried blood on the floor, the blinds were broken and then when I went to make the beds there was ants, dirt and sand on the mattresses! It felt like I needed to give it a thorough clean from top to bottom to feel comfortable enough to sit on the couch or even think about laying on the bed! If we weren't staying there for a reason we would have turned around and walked straight out and sought alternative accommodation.

This was our 3rd trip to Breamlea. It was 4 yrs since our last visit and sadly the park is in dire need of some attention. Camp sites can best be described as drab and the park is about 70% onsite vans that have mostly had their day. The amenities blocks are older and in the past were kept immaculately, however on this trip were dirty and in need of attention. The communal BBQ zones were also very tired and in need of attention. The beaches here are lovely and have the closest surf to Melbourne. One is paroĺled during summer so is great for families. All in all, it was definite not a quiet spot to getaway for a couple of night and even the beautiful beached did not make up for this tired old gal......Geelong council pull your finger out and do something with this piece of paradise!
