Fabulous little Motel on Western Highway. Very clean room, fresh bed with crisp white sheets and extra comfy and clean pillows. New flat screen TV with Foxtel and free wifi. TV was a good size for the room. Room and bathroom where spacious and bathroom was newly appointed with separate toilet . Ammenities were nice and tea, coffee, ironing board and iron plus extra heater all there. Microwave and small fridge also worked well. The Lady offers complimentary continental breakfast of cereal, toast & jam/marmalade fresh butter and real milk plus tea and coffee all in her little dining area near reception. Room was ready at 11.30 am with no extra charge for early arrival and there was no big rush to leave the next day. Would recommend staying for business or pleasure. Plenty of car parking and the local Taxi Will drive you around if you don’t feel like driving. Taxi offers a good on time service. There is plenty of delivered take away food options from fish and chips to Cantonese and Chinese pizza and MC Donald’s is a two minute walk away. We will be back to experience more of the lovely interesting historical town. The operating gold mine and views are cool to visit and observe . Excellent value for money and a welcoming stay at this family operated business .

My friend and I needed a quick overnight stop on our way to a 3 day hike in the Grampians. Our room was clean, the beds comfortable and the shower lovely and hot. The owners made us a filling and delicious breakfast, and supplied me with a brand new toaster so I could toast up my own gluten free bread safely. 5 stars for the friendly service and clean, comfortable stay. Only down side about the motel is the truck noise from the main road, but it didn’t disturb my sleep!

Easy to find. Check in was quick and easy. Clean motel rooms. Good service and nice breakfast service.
Would recommend this motel for the weary traveller seeking a comfy bed and accommodation.
We stayed up the back off the road, even though there is a lot of trucks commuting from Adelaide to Melbourne you still get a good nights sleep. Shower very good so was the efficient heater keeping the chill off the air.
The owners are great and make you feel at home.

Disappointed based on other people’s reviews. Location is definitely ON the highway and the rumbling of the trucks overnight is a constant reminder. Rooms have been “updated”, but poorly. Holes covered with gaffer tape and faulty switches with electrical tape. Mould and grime in the shower cubicle. Bug spray provided for the unwanted guests. Reception unattended, you need to call and the assistant will provide a code which must be entered into a lock box to receive keys, just don’t expect too much as the assistant become grumpy quickly. Kettle still had water in it, a first in any previous stay, anywhere! Keeps your room key with you as the door locks automatically when closed, so if you leave your keys in the room…

I rang to say I would probably miss check-in, (driving in from Melbourne and was caught in storms), no problem, the very nice and helpful Brenda gave me the code for the room key. The motel is an oldish one but I was pleasantly surprised by the very clean, neat and spacious room. Comfy bed, big wall mounted TV, new shower with great water pressure, nice towels, well equipped with microwave etc and while the air con unit is an older one, it works (it was during a hot spell). It's on a highway so expect some truck noise but it's not that bad. There's a cafe and Macca's nearby for the all important coffee and brekky. I will stay there again for the next visit.

Chose this Motel for a 3 night stay based on the reviews. We weren't disappointed. Budget price, but not budget in other ways. Spotlessly clean with everything we needed, microwave, toaster, plates, cutlery etc. Tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits replenished while we were there. While it is an older style Motel the room decor and bathroom had been updated. Very comfy bed and while it was advertised as a Queen, it seemed larger. Walking distance to McDonald's, a fish and chip shop and a diner. We had a day in the Grampians looking around and a day trip to Ballarat. Sure there is a bit of truck noise but we found it was early in the evening and was much quieter during the night. It didn't worry us. Will definitely stay again.

Quick and easy check in as it was a last minute decision! Great customer service! Room is spacious and shower is nice and hot with awesome pressure. Heater was perfect and warmed up the room extremely well! Also there is electric blankets too. It's winter and Im a cold bug and also from sunny Qld so that makes this place a perfect 10 in my eyes lol. I called to book in and price was about 30$ cheaper than the online price so even better! Would definitely stay again if in the area!

New owners here part way through upgrading a place which had been run down- you can see it will be excellent.
With fridge, microwave, iron, ironing board, hair dryer and new TV with Netflix. Modern bathroom, new bed and sitting area.
Mason and team very keen to please and we thought it was well worth the price.
Wishing them all the best.
