We really liked this hotel and the area was great. My suggestion is to ask for a balcony room in advance. The restaurant (Gramercy) was OK. I would recommend getting breakfast somewhere else for the price. The service was great and the room was cozy. Only negative was that there was glass separating the room from the bathroom. Not much...

I had the good fortune to stay in the Stormie Mills room at the Cullen on a recent trip to Melbourne. In the corner of the room is an original Stormie Mills artwork based around a bookshelf which I as an avid reader loved. There were also inspiring quotes and photos. Absolutely loved it. Mini bar is great. It had a...

The Cullen is another great hotel from the Art Series group. Well designed, great use of art and friendly service make this a great place to stay. A few things to note: - Wifi is not free, even for reward members, which is unusual in this day and age ($10 a day) - Great bed and bedding - Functional mini...

I am a bit of an Art Series Hotels superfan and have now stayed at The Cullen 3 times for business and for fun. The location in Prahran is perfect being a ten minute walk from Prahran Station, directly outside the tram stop, round the corner from the shopping and restaurants of Chapel Street and being across from Prahran market....

My husband and I stayed at the Cullen for three nights in October and had a wonderful stay. Firstly not being twenty or thirty something we were somewhat concerned re noise in what appears to be a hotel for young people. How wrong we were. In fact I had to ask reception if there were other people on the floor...

When in melbourne, I always stay with an art series hotel. However I am sick of the snobbish attitude of reception staff- the males in particular at the Cullen & Blackman. What happened to warm welcoming smiles and genuine friendliness? I'm unsure why reception staff look down their nose at me and talk to me as if they are superior...
