Should one want to do the Great Ocean Road in leisurely fashion vs one day long bus trip, this is a MUST see stop. The accommodations were inviting and extremely comfortable, the meals were absolutely delicious with only fresh ingredients and the people made the visit special. We were just a short walk from town or the river for nice...

Merrijig Inn is the oldest inn in Victoria, it has an amazing atmosphere, with fluffy chickens in the garden, home made bread and a busy garden bar & restaurant. The king suite was huge with 3 rooms that felt very homely. Staff was really helpful and friendly.

Very quaint hotel, loads of character. Staff very friendly and great restaurant - evening dinner was excellent and breakfast was good too (although a little strange that only one coffee included and any extras have to be paid for). Also liked the guest sitting area and tea/coffee facilities. Our room was quite small and a little cramped with big suitcases...

Lovely welcome and made to feel at home. Very comfortable homely feel. Nice big rooms which were clean with facilities. Nice breakfast included. Did not eat in the restaurant as walked into town (5 mins walk). Pleasant gardens with a beer garden. Would recommend.

We stayed in an attic room overnight, it was clean and cosy, the breeze from the wharf was lovely. The breakfast in the morning was amazing, can't go past fresh baked bread! Sitting outside in the sun with the chickens was great. We will be back, great little spot and so much history.

A friend had booked the Inn for one evening pre Xmas. We arrived and were met by a lovely chap who enthusiastically and hilariously showed us our room. We were in a twin upstairs. Not massive but we were never really in the room so didn't care. The bathroom was lovely clean and well stocked with gel/shampoo etc mini's which...

Small Hotel with a beautiful garden. The attic room I did choose was very small. Access to the room not so easy. Definitely next time a bigger room. Comfy bed. Shower and bathroom good. They do have an outstanding, easy going and very inviting breakfast service. From home made jam, garden herbs, fresh juice. Recommandable

Intriguing pathway and entrance with warmest welcome. Amazing layout of rooms for lounging about in..... And of course your own room and bathroom. The guest kitchen is very well stocked. The kitchen garden and locally sourced food for dining is positive as is the menu produced!

Beautiful B &B. Lovely cosy room, small, but cute and well appointed. The breakfast was just devine, with beautiful homemade fruits, preserves and tpped off with a cook-to-order hot breakfast which changes every day. Lovely staff, peaceful gardens to relax In with friendly chickens. If you need to "get away", I couldn't recommend it highly enough!

We stayed in the Merrijig for one night. The room had cobwebs hanging from ceiling. Paintwork on window frames was in dire need of repainting. The handles were hanging off the interior doors. There was duck tape holding the clothes rail to the ceiling as the plaster had fallen away and needed replastering. The shower and shower room was so...
