Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Superb location and wonderful accommodation. Compact but very well laid out and furnished. All needed supplies and items in the cabin. Very close and easy to get to the center of Port Fairy. Setting of the cabin on site makes for a very relaxing and peaceful experience. Highly recommend the location, cabin and the people who run the site. Will definitely return for a longer stay next time.

When we arrived we were met by the extremely welcoming owner. You use a quirky telephone box to call to let you know you have arrived. We were offered a free upgrade to a lovely two bedroom cabin on river front, however we had booked to stay in the train cabin. We loved the train cabin just for the experience. It had everything you needed and a large size. Everything was clean, neat and tidy and was warm and comfortable. The cabins would be a better option, but better to sleep on this train than the usual kind

2 adults and 1 kid, stayed 2 nights. Booked the train carriage for something different, was decked out comfortably with kitchenette, lounge area plus 2 bedrooms and bathroom. Clean and well maintained. Walking distance to township for markets and eateries. Great spot. Hosts were lovely. Cool weather and adequate heating within carriage.

We had booked for 3 nights in the train and where on our way to Port Fairy when another Covid lockdown hit. Julie, the owner was in touch immediately, to find out what we needed and when we arrived, kindly offered to upgrade us to large bungalow. Because we loved the idea of the train, we spent our first new nights in this cleverly designed space - beautiful use of mirrors to expand the space; comfy couches; good kitchen space; and a great deck to sit amongst the gum trees and the corellas. We then moved to the river facing bungalow and were even more comfortable. The park is full of greenery with some alpacas to add to the environment. It’s a short work into town and I’d happily stay again. Julie has created a great holiday space and is a wonderfl host.

This was such a lovely place to stay. Clean, tidy cabin with everything you would need. A short walk (10 minutes) to town, we hardly used our car. Friendly owners and beautiful surrounds. We’ll definitely return here. It’s our new ‘staycation’ venue.

What a hidden gem this property is. Off the street and fronting the river. Making it very quiet and relaxing. A short 5 min walk to town on flat ground via the rail trail. Beautiful green grass and lovely gardens surround the cabins. They have Alpacas, a Llama and chickens. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa overlooking the river which was clean and fresh with everything we needed for our stay. They also have a train carriage which you can stay in. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. You will not be disappointed. Will be back again real soon.
