Seacombe House Motor Inn provided older style motel accommodation that is comfortable and pleasant and all that was needed for a short stay in Port Fairy. The decor is older style and not modern but provided all that was needed. The Wi Fi worked well and the staff friendly.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay in Port Fairy and would have given Seacombe House 5 stars except for what we both thought was an extraordinarily hard bed! Others may not think so - bed comfort can be quite subjective. Location was excellent, service extremely friendly and helpful, price quite reasonable. The room and facilities otherwise was lovely although the 2 windows didn't seem to let in a lot of natural light. Our ground floor room faced onto the central courtyard and was also accessed by a second door off a common corridor. The arrangement unfortunately meant that the courtyard door didn't open fully because of the positioning of a two seater couch but it wasn't such a big deal. The couch was a handy addition to the room. Unfortunately the restaurant hadn't reopened after Covid but hey, one is not short of choice around Port Fairy anyway!

Nothing was too much trouble for Marianne and her team during our 3 night stay. Our cottage was well equipped, clean, comfortable and homely - particularly the open fire. Being in close proximity to shops and restaurants allowed us to leave the car parked up during our stay. The venue restaurant was closed due to covid restrictions but we had an amazing meal at The Wharf Restaurant where the service was impeccable. We shall return - sooner rather than later.
