We loved our stay in Port Fairy; the town is bustling enough to feel vibrant, but not too busy to feel crowded. 54 on Bank suited us well. A cosy cottage, all to ourselves, quiet and serene. So close to everything you’d need or want, but tucked away enough to feel safe and away from any noise. Lovely soaps and shower gels and hand lotions/sanitisers included. Only downfall was we had to use the 2nd bed as there was a dip in the main. But we will be back. Thanks again, 54 on Bank.
We stayed in the Cottage for 3 nights and couldn’t be happier with our selection. The clean and spacious cottage, over 2 floors had a king bed, full sized kitchen with all utensils, washer / dryer and stocked with sufficient bathroom amenities for our stay. 54 on Bank is a short walk from the Main Street, with a good selection of cafes and shops. The Farmers Wife is recommended for Coffee and breakfast, and Lemon Grass Thai across the street was fantastic also. This was a comfortable place to base ourselves while exploring Port Fairy and the surrounds.
We were able to escape the bustle of Lorne and headed down the coast for a few days. The accommodation at 54 on Bank was excellent...great location, quality linen, extremely clean and well appointed. The snacks in the fridge were just right and coffee for the plunger...a winner over instant. Its walking distance to all the sights and eateries around town. The hosts were very friendly from the initial booking and gave us lots of tips on what to see and where to eat. We stayed two days and would recommend this stay highly.
We stayed here for two nights on our trip from Adelaide to Melbourne. Port Fairy is a peaceful small town with good beaches. The apartment was small but comfortable with a small kitchen area. The local restaurants and shops were within easy walking distance.
Only stayed one night but it’s a great place to stay longer. Room is well furnished and very clean with lots of nice touches to make your stay enjoyable. Met owner and was helpful in directing us to where to eat. Port Fairy is a lovely place to stop whilst travelling the great ocean road. There party outside. Would recommend
Lovely well equipped apartment, the best place we have stopped on our trip so far from Adelaide to Melbourne. Had a great welcome from the guy in the office and a good selection of goodies in the fridge. Thank you from Pat and Steve from the Uk
We stayed for 2 nights in this accommodation. We chose one that had washing and drying facilities as we were on a long trip. As said by others it was all clean and well presented. It really helped being met and shown around and being given maps and advice of the area. Lots of nice touches including some delicious biscuits. The kitchen area was all clean and had plenty of pans etc. There was ample parking and ours was off the street. There were no negatives and would thoroughly recommend this.
Beautiful property with lovely finishing touches. Presented very well. Friendly and helpful host arrived very quickly for our late check-in. Very well located, with minimal street noise - we were in apartment 2 which was at street level. Easy walk to everything you could need. Super comfy bed with lovely linen. Cosy and warm. Toasty warm water in the shower. Bathroom and entire apartment very clean. Loudest fan in the history of loud bathroom fans - just as well the gentle light from outside the bathroom window means you don’t have to turn the combined light/fan on to see what you’re doing if you need to make a visit in the middle of the night! Would definitely stay again. :)
Stayed here for 2 nights in January whilst travelling on the Ocean Road. What a delightful place it was, large room with shower facilities & small equipped kitchen. Very clean & hosts taken care to make you feel very welcome. The property is on one of the main roads of the town so everything is within walking distance. Plenty of restaurants to chose from, a supermarket & also the beach is walkable in about 15 minutes but also has parking if you decide to drive. Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay & would stay again if return to Port Fairy.
Stayed for a couple of days over Australia Day weekend. I guess that means the town was busier than usual but it still didn’t feel rammed. Room was large and very airy with good a/c and kitchen facilities. Bathroom nice size and shower worked well. Bed very comfy. Only negative was, and this is no fault of the property, the binmen do their thing at 0545 on Monday mornings - ooofff. Would get short shrift from me if they did this at home! Port Fairy was great with lots of good eateries and excellent beaches and things to do. It seems to be an undiscovered gem on the Great Ocean Rd vicinity.
