We had a great stay in a cabin at the park. The place was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our two-night stay. The bed was comfy and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The park is in a great location a few mins from the beach and an easy walk into town.

We enjoyed an overnight stay at the Gardens caravan park, staying in the "Fairy Wren" standard cabin. The park was easy to find and the cabins very handily located just behind the reception. Pre-stay communication was excellent and check-in was completely contactless. The standard cabin was clean and tidy with all we needed for a comfortable overnight stay. While these cabins are certainly not new or modern, ours was furnished in a contemporary style and was quite spacious with good aircon and hot water. The location of the park is great, a short walk across to the lovely East beach and a nice walk to the river and town centre. The park itself appears to be superbly maintained, everything was very tidy and looked cared for. A handy place to stay to explore the lovely town of Port Fairy and beyond, we'd be very happy to base ourselves in a cabin here for a longer stay next time!

The staff on arrival were lovely and friendly. The site that we had been booked on was so far away that we felt that we were not part of the park. They allowed us to move closer and we were on site 105. On arrival they did tell us that there would be football the next day, but not that we would become a car park. We were not able to leave our awning out as people were driving there cars so close to our site that they were parking right next to us, so no room for our awning. We had to be careful of our hoses as they were just driving all over them. When we contacted reception, there answer was we told you there was a game on, it must be a big one as lots of people here. This is not satisfactory as we are paying for this site and therefore should be considered. Also we were relying on their knowledge of the local situation. There was no duty of care from them. The amenities block is a good walk away, although there is public toilets from the football field that we can use, although not recommended after a football game. We were told it suited self contained vehicles, which we are It was peaceful on the first night and it is a lovely walk in to town and around the wharf. On our second night it was difficult to sleep as some of the football crowd did not leave till late in the night. Also be aware that people from the crowd were looking in to caravan and motorhome windows while the owners were away. We did not stay for the last night as felt uncomfortable leaving our motorhome.

Beautiful and quiet, walking distance to everything we needed. Staff were friendly and very helpful. We have a large bus, and it was no trouble to accommodate us. Absolute pleasure to stay here, we didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend.
