Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a two bedroom cottage hosted by people who really care.
There isn't one thing you could think of that isn't provided. The kitchen is better stocked than home. The bedrooms are comfortable with ensuites.
The back courtyard is so beautiful with a table and chairs and lounges. It's just beautiful to sit in.
Highly recommended.

We stayed in the waterfront apartment. On arrival we were met in a very welcoming and warm way. The apartment was just as welcoming. Extremely clean, had everything you needed and also that stuff you would forget to pack when you left home. The ambiance, views and warmth of the apartment was so refreshing and well worthy of a 5 star rating. It had everything you would have at your home and as such you were immediately comfortable. As a first time visitor to this apartment it will now be my preferred choice of where to stay whenever I am in the Port Fairy, Warrnambool or Portland area.

We stayed in the historical cottage (not on the water side) however we found the position fabulous. Beautiful gardens and house, lovely sized rooms, REALLY well appointed accommodation/ kitchen, nothing needed to be added (except, maybe, a fan for over 50yo women🤪😎), fantastic location to town/ walks. We’ll be back again and definitely happy to recommend. Brett and Bernie are wonderful hosts, all kudos to them. Well done guys, after a very trying COVID year, it was fabulous to spend a couple of nights, celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary, at Edge 17.

Really well appointed and comfy. A week in this lovely cottage, it was really fabulous. Location Location Location - everything you would want for a cosy wintery stay around Port Fairy. My first visit for many years to this region. Beautiful architecture in the township and varied scenery. The cottage at Edge17 was perfect for us (3 ladies, mum and 2 daughters). Warm sunshine on the courtyard to read my book; cosy fire to watch Netflix etc. Very nice hosts too.

We booked online. When we arrived at the advertised address there was no one there. We came back later and it turned out the advertised address is just one of the apartments. Luckily, people were in this apartment and suggested we try looking at another location a short drive away. We rang the number on the website but no one answered or responded to our message. We finally found the apartment we had booked and the owner was in the process of renting it to someone else even though we arrived earlier than we said we would. The owner's home had a door into our apartment and a Google Home Mini plugged installed in our apartment (i.e listening device - there was no other potential purpose) which was weird as there was nothing in the apartment for it to connect to. When we left in the morning, we tried calling on the phone but again - no answer, so we left the keys on a table and message on voicemail and went. Again, no one responded to our message.

This apartment is situated right on the Moyne River and is located on a quiet street that is limited to wharf traffic only. You can see small boats going by. Port Fairy is a special kind of small town worth staying in while traveling along the Great Ocean Road and Shipwreck Coast. Riverview provided golf vouchers for discounted golf at Port Fairy Golf Links as part of a stay and play package. The apartment was very clean and the area quiet. The email instructions were very specific as far as how to get to the apartment and how to use the garage door, which also provides door access for entry into the ground floor apartment I stayed in. I haven't seen a garage door like this in the U.S. - pretty ingenious bit of engineering.

If you are looking for total relaxation in absolute comfort then this is the place for you. Location wise it is perfect, right on the wharf and within an easy stroll to the main shopping area. Bernie and Brett’s attention to detail is outstanding. A great find and would love to come again.

Recently stopped in the cottage at the rear of the main building, loved it. The best of everything in the cottage, the kitchen and appliances were so so good. Its on the river and within walking distance of restaurants etc. Met the owner a retired farmer who really enjoys looking after people. We intend to return., even though it cost me a new kitchen, you want to experience luxury give it a run.
