We spent two nights at this campsite and were very pleased. The cabin met our expectations, was clean and functional. The infrastructure in the small kitchen provided everything we needed for preparing a meal (hotplates, oven, kettle, microwave oven). In addition, the air conditioning could be used as heating, which was an added value.
The campsite is well located, so you are quickly in the small village where you can find shopping and restaurants. Further, the place is well located to then take the Great Ocean Road towards Melbourne by car. We can only recommend a stay here.

Our group of three were well satisfied with a cabin containing 3 bedrooms with two separate showers and toilets. Though situated close to the main entrance it was quiet
and well appointed with a large kitchen lounge and dining area .
The management were able to provide a large room where our group of 40 could meet for happy hours / meals and this was enjoyed by all

The ensuite site we had at Port Fairy Big 4 was well fitted out and maintained. The site gave us a lovely rural view. The park had good BBQs and facilities and the staff were pleasant and helpful.
We enjoyed our stay and found the location of the park a good home base for day trips to Portland and Port Campbell.

We stayed in the Ibis cabin which was cleaned well and had everything we needed. The instant hot water was playing up and the gent that works at the park managed to get it going but we had to keep turning it on and off every time we showered or washed the dishes to get hot water but it was a minor issue once we knew what we needed to do
The park is clean, tidy and we'll presented and close to town (20 min walk) it has all the usual BIG4 amenities including a camp kitchen, basketball and tennis court, playgrounds and a swimming pool to name a few things.
My only complaint with the swimming pool would be it is that heavily chlorinated that all 3 of us had red burning eyes after spending only 20 mins in the pool without going underwater. It's the strongest choline smelling pool I've ever been in. We didn't jump in a second time and resorted to swimming at the beach nearby.

This was by far one of the best caravan parks that we have stayed at. The amenities were clean and modern. The facilities for kids were fabulous, there is a great play room for kids under 5 which our daughter loved as she is only 2 but then for the bigger kids there was Mini golf, pump track, jumping pillow and indoor pool. I don’t think your kids will ever get bored. Saturday morning they had free pancakes for the guest and Bambino pizza came in Sunday night to serve up pizza for park guests!

We visited with 2 kids under 2 & a teenager, park is great for location as only minutes from town to walk & to the beach. We had a going group being noisy second night in until 3am so that was a headache! The facilities are a bit tired, the camp kitchen was dirty & bbq drip tray full of grease. We had an ensuite camp site which was amazing with kids!! It had old cobwebs & a few spiders dead that could have been cleared.
We paid more for this site as it markets families but being kept awake with party noise wasn’t great! Next time I think we will try another site to compare, although ensuite is also a great selling point here….

Staying here has become a regular thing for our little family for the Folk Fest weekend. We had one of the more basic cabins - same as previous years (one of these days we will upgrade ourselves but it is a very pricey weekend). But it was clean and neat and suited our needs, which was basically somewhere to rest our weary heads at night. The kids always enjoy the bunk beds and appreciated the little bowl of lollies that greeted them. Despite being on the main road and folk fest weekend, it is a very quiet place to stay, which we love. A good night's rest. That's why we keep coming back. :) One day we'll come on a non-folk fest weekend.

Thanks for taking the time to review the park I love folkie weekend as so many of our guests come back year after year, it is like greeting family, discussing who guests have seen , passing on our own tips and even ocassionally bumping into them and sharing a guiness at the festival. Port Fairy has so much to offer we would definitely encourage a trip on a quieter weekend where you can explore the town, don;t forget it is a tremendous base for exploring the south west

We stayed in the Heron Cabin and it was very spacious and comfortable.
Full size fridge, stove, oven and well appointed kitchen. However there is not a can opener - BYO
The main bed was extremely comfortable and very plush high pillows. So if you like a flat one - BYO.
The kids bunk beds are comfortable too but are a bit shorter than a regular single bed as there is a cupboard at the end of each of the beds for hanging storage.
The basketball rings were good, however the tennis court is only a 1/2 size, ideal for kids to muck around. The peddle carts are always a must do hit with the kids. There is an indoor pool and COVIDSafe restrictions on the number of people allowed at a time so you need to book a time slot with reception to swim.
They have a mini golf course on-site however this is an addition charge.
This Big4 is only a 3 min drive from the Main Street of Port Fairy.
We had a lovely week away.

Soo with lockdown looming and the covid pandemic pumping up for round 2, Mallacoota not an option due to the VIC transmission rate and interstate travel we took a chance on a lovely looking BIG4 park in Port Fairy who were happy to have us. Ive always used booking.com but they seem to inflate prices the same as uber eats if you get what i mean.
So. Booking direct on the BIG4 website and signing up to the BIG4 perks club i was far from disappointed with the events that followed. Friendly interaction from Rohan via email about my enquiries and even a contact free checkin 10/10. I did stick my head in and enquire about local sights/activities for the kids and places to eat. Staff were super friendly and very helpful! We took their advice and it was amazing The park boasted minigolf, skatepark/pumptrack, jumping pillow, heated indoor pool, pedal cart hire, ebike hire and games rooms. Only catch was the pool had less access time and games rooms closed due to covid. This was very clear at the time of booking soo that was fine.
The rooms were warmed, super clean and awaiting our arrival at checkin. Comfortable, clean and modern. 10/10. It did rain the majority of the time there but we did manage to sneak in a game of minigolf and take advantage of the parks perks. The perks club actually provided a good discount on the ones you had to pay for too being minigolf & pedalcarts.
Park was nice and clean, staff were friendly, nice and quiet at night. Nothing was too much trouble. Definatly a quality destination and couldn't be more please with a last minute booking in covid times.
THANKYOU BIG4 PORT FAIRY!!

I liked a bunch of the activity’s given. But I do have a down side since we’ll the wifi takes so long to load and it won’t even work where I stayed! Please fix it and make it more protected since I didn’t like the fact that my history should of been seen by the owners (or get hacked 😟)
But apart from that the whole thing was good, pool should have more stuff like a waterslide for the kids to play in.

Hi,
Thanks for your enquiry.
Yes, the park is pet friendly. However, only on sites.
Thanks,
Big4 Port Fairy
Hello Frank - this is somewhat late; I'm so sorry. We don't have fires at the park. I agree they're fun but they wouldn't work here - our grassy sites wldnt stay that way for long and as the park is small they could create a safety issue. There're plenty of other things to do in the park and around the town. Jenni
