Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very warm friendly staff led by Heidi. The accomodation was spotlessly clean & very comfortable. Which was complemented by a luxurious bed and quality linen. There’s a great restaurant on site well. A perfectly appointed gem in a lovely coastal town which is a short walk to both shops & beach.

Got an upgrade upon arrival, so pleased with that as an added bonus. The service was terrific. Lovely staff. Walk out the front and you dont have to go far for food or drink. They did have a restaurant there but we tried elsewhere. Nice size rooms and comfortable bed.

We stayed overnight in a king bed and spa room. Air conditioned with a separate heater. The room is large and has town views in two directions. In addition to the usual body washing amenities, there were slippers and bath robes. As per its name, there was a large oval "jacuzzi" spa, which comfortably held two adults. Water pressure is sufficient to fill the tub in a timely manner. The TV is a bit small and difficult to see from the bed. The building is well located in the heart of Port Campbell. Apart from the in-house restaurant, you are close to the other eating choices in town.

An overpriced dump. Hard bed,tv not working, no wifi. Thin walls can hear the ppl in next room. Poor quality, overpriced food in their restaurant. Poor service. Take the luxury out of the name, substitute ripoff instead.

Waves is well located to explore the local area & has on site parking. The staff are friendly & helpful, the accommodation is fine & the restaurant food is good, albeit more expensive than other local restaurants. On the negative side the wifi is very poor & the breakfast choice for guests is limited; there is far greater choice a la carte.

Room is spacious, clean but definitely nothing luxury! Wifi not in room, only in restaurant. Carpark next to garbage at the back Breakfast couldn’t not be more boring than that. In general: overpriced.

Had a great meal here last night - the food was fresh and delicious and the service friendly and excellent. Good menu with plenty of choices and a kids menu too. Nice wine list. They take bookings - always helpful. 😄😄 Thanks for a lovely dinner!

This was a disappointment. The place seems uncared for and the staff seem disinterested. Entering via the parking/messy garbage area is unusual. The room is large, clean and the bathroom is quite good. The balcony looked over a neglected back yard, there was a chemical smell in the room. We were happy to leave. Would not recommend or return.

Great hotel with great customer service. They saved us at the last moment when we had to leave a sub standard hotel elsewhere. It was a relief to be somewhere clean, comfortable and with nice, helpful staff.

Large room, clean, located on the ground floor, comfortable and potentially quiet until the upstairs apartment checked in with their kids and proceeded to play a match of indoor soccer and run their spa bath until about 10:00pm... you get the drift! On the 2nd night an air conditioning compressor outside of our window sounded like it had thrown a bearing and kept us awake until we called the manager to have it shut off, again you get the drift! Otherwise great location, its in the center of town, short walk to the beach and handy to the pub which dishes up some great food.
