Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Perfect in every way. Tanya is the ideal host: clearly cares that you have a good stay, welcomes you warmly and offers great tips and advice. But above all the room could not be bettered: stunning views, incredibly comfortable and quiet, but also very practical with plenty of space and everything you need for a short stay. Plus some lovely extra personal touches from Tanya like fizz and chocs. Perfect stop in a stunning part of the world

Anchors Port Campbell was a beautiful and well designed accommodation in a peaceful and private surrounding. The view from our room was spectacular. Our kitchen was stocked well for breakfasts and included several locally made treats as well. Tanya greeted us warmly and made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful homey experience. There was a lot of information available in our unit showing available sights and experiences nearby. Overall a great stay and we would highly recommend Anchors and the area around Port Campbell.

Everything was perfect. Tanya explained how everything worked & then gave us great tips on what to see & do during our 4 day stay. The villa was exceptionally spacious, beautifully presented & spotlessly clean. Great internet & a fully equipped laundry for guest use. We were provided absolute privacy to enjoy the tranquil location.

Anchors proved to be the best accommodation experience of our four week stay in Australia even including several 5-star hotels. Nothing else was close. A stunning pastoral view looks out on fields running down to the Southern Sea with Port Campbell in the distance. The cottage/villa was equipped with literally everything -- it was like finding our own hone and its facilities on another continent. After a long day, my spouse sank into the jetted rub while I caught up with emails while watching what appeared to be over one hundred satellite stations. A complete kitchen ensured we could self-cater or simply snack, and the welcome package included a variety of drinks and snacks. We were also surprised with a readily accessible laundry facility. Finally, in addition to a truly comfortable bed, there was a comprehensive guide to the area on which we heavily relied. The proximity to a variety of stunning natural sites; a host of decent restaurants and shopping; and the Gourmet Trail with a variety of things to see and do make this a convenient base for a varied experience. Or, one can simply kick back and enjoy the tranquility of a stunning vista in a quiet setting. We agreed that we should have arranged a longer stay. We occupied Villa 2, and despite what others have written I question whether one is superior to others or provides more privacy. The way the villas are sited and the layout of the villas, including the panoramic windows and their sight lines, appears to provide abundant privacy regardless of which one is occupied.

Cannot recommend a stay here highly enough. Lovely villas and a great place to come back to after a day out sight seeing to relax in comfort. Made to feel very welcome by Tanya with little touches like a bottle of wine, ground coffee, chocolates and some local organic milk. She also took time to let us know all the places to go and see which was very helpful. Very spacious with lovely luxury touches. Very private and quiet which was great to destress and unwind and watch the sunset from your private verandah. Will definitely be back again and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone travelling to see all the famous sites on great ocean road. They are no more than a 10 minute drive so you can often beat the day tripper crowds. A little more in price but will worth every cent. You won't regret your decision to stay here.

We had a wonderful stay here at Anchors. The room was beautifully fitted out, tranquil and with fantastic views. Tanya went out of her way to make us feel welcome, and we appreciated the breakfast provisions and bottle of wine included. We would recommend a stay here. The area is beautiful and the accommodation is outstanding.

We can't say enough good things about this property and our 2 night stay. The owner, Tanya, takes great pride in seeing that every detail is perfect and every need is met. She made sure we were properly greeted and then was personally there when we departed, seeing us off with a genuinely Australian warmth. The room was perfectly appointed and spacious with great views across the countryside with the ocean beyond. It really felt like a home away from home. The welcome bottle of wine (and bottle of local milk and other local delicacies) never hurts.

Accommodation was pristine and everything we wanted was at our finger tips. The cottage was very warm, bed was super comfortable and had the most relaxing stay. Tanya visited us on arrival and talked us through the great things to see and supplied us with a map of the area, places to eat, things to see and the best scenic lookouts of the 12 apostles.

Magnificent accommodation for two. Spacious and very quiet. The bed was delightful. The views are great and the kitchen well set up. We were made to feel very welcome and would highly recommend this for a romantic stay. Make sure you visit the collection of animals too.
