We drove straight from Tullamarine Airport to this accommodation (via Geelong). We choice to do our Great Ocean Road drive in the reverse direction to what is offered by the tour buses out of Melbourne CBD. We chose this accommodation for its price, location and cleanliness and it didn't disappoint. We were able to buy some groceries to supplier our road trip, but as we had a kitchenette, we were able to make breakfast before we hit the road. The accommodation was clean and we were able to borrow from the DVD library to entertain us in the evening. In fact, we were super excited to see the original Bring it On DVD that you can't seem to purchase these days!! Again, perfect location for seeing the 12 Apostles... we woke up for the sunrise and were able to avoid the tourist bus crowds. I highly recommend this accommodation option.

We had a very relaxing stay here. It was probably one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed in. The kitchen had everything you could ever need and even a coffee machine. We also enjoyed sitting on the table and chairs provided outside our room with our glass of wine. TV could have been a little bit better with more channel options but we weren't here to watch Neighbours. Although we did meet a few of our neighbours in the nearby rooms. Very helpful owners/cleaners also catered to all our needs. A perfect stay.

Nice 2 bedroom apartment with living/dining/kitchen area and adjacent laundry. Everything very clean and kitchen all found with all the goods and chattels to produce a grand meal. There is a communal BBQ available for those who wish to be even more flamboyant! Really liked the apartment with downstairs and upstairs dunnies, the coffee/tea/sugar/biscuits left out and the carton of milk in the fridge. The laundry is easy to use (no-one wanted it at the same time as us which was perfect!) and we had a great night’s sleep. Made a very welcome change to a hotel room and we particularly enjoyed having a kitchen to prepare food in, though the local supermarket had a very limited choice so best visit a larger one before arriving here.

This is a pleasant motel, quite adequate for an overnight which I suspect is the mainstay of its business in the summertime: people moving along the Great Ocean Road. Host is genial and welcoming, and a continental breakfast is available (We’d preordered and it was excellent – bread, butter, jam, vegemite, fruit juice, cereal and sliced fruit and yoghurt; generous serves too). But there is no sink to wash dishes which limits the desire to cook - there is a microwave, a jug and a toaster but nothing else. There are no armchairs just two dining chairs at a small table. There is a fridge. All nice and clean, but don’t get too excited about staying here.

Hi John, We are happy to hear that you had a pleasant stay here and found our continental breakfast excellent. When staying with us you have a choice between a standard motel room or you can choose a one bedroom suite or apartment with full kitchen facilities and luxury features with couches and dining tables. If you wish to self cater and require cooking facilities with full kitchen, utensils, crockery it is best to choose one of the suites or luxury apartments. We only have 2 general motel rooms that don't have kitchens, our other 12 rooms all have kitchens with a sink and apartments with a dishwasher as well. We also have a guest BBQ area with outdoor dining settings. The range of units and apartments that you can choose from is suitable for all travellers budgets and requirements.

Most :
Located just outside the village and not on the main road, the site is very quiet.
On foot, it takes less than 10 minutes to go to the village center (where the only well-stocked grocery store with reasonable prices is located) or to the beach, with its very cool water.
2 electric barbecues are available outside.
TV equipped with the YouTube option, therefore practical when local programs do not suit you.
Very helpful and smiling staff.
Washing machine available for 4 AUD (coins only) and free tumble dryer.

PLEASE NOTE: Reception may close before the time indicated on the confirmation received by email but clear instructions are made available.

The lessers :
The "freezer" part of the refrigerator cannot store ice cream or frozen products: everything melts!
There is no cooking plate but a "domino" to place on the work surface, with a diameter too small for the large frying pan and unstable if you use a large saucepan filled with... boiling water.
WiFi speed quite slow or even unstable.

We were upgraded to a 2 bed apartment which was very large and clean with nice facilities. I had initially selected a room with 2 queens since the hotel doesn't have king beds. The two of us ended up in separate bedrooms since we had a queen and 2 singles to ensure a comfortable sleep.

The hotel is a short walk from the town center which has a limited selection of restaurants. We were surprised our first night to find it hard to get a table despite places being almost empty when we arrived but they had groups arriving later.

The hotel is a good overnight stop while driving along the coast and visiting the various sights. A beautiful drive and a must do from Melbourne.

Lovely motel just off the main road so really quiet at nice. Was greeted at reception and felt welcomed from the outset. Even the heater was already on in our room which was some welcomed warmth.
Beds are comfy, showers are great (even though bathroom tiles were freezing) and our 2 bedroom unit had everything we needed.
Took advantage of the washing machine ($4/load) and dryers (free).

It was big and clean although the decor was dated. The toilet was a little too cold though, a heater would have been great. The staff was really friendly when i called. Parking is free as well and there was a microwave and fridge in the room with a small table to dine on. Overall, would recommend cause price was good.

A wonderful small Motel to feel home. It was very clean, spacious and great location. the beds were comfortable. We walked within 5 minutes to the small city center and the beach. We stayed for one night to visit the stunning nearby cliffs of the ocean. The very nice owner lady was great, giving us very usefull tips to visit some other cliffs also nearby which we would have missed otherwise and were so beautieful too. We would definitely use this Motel again if in the area. Thank you for a nice stay.
